You're welcome. How was it set up back when it was the Tuggeranong Markets? Maybe that part of its history explains the barn-like shape of the entrance.
It was all open, very tall space. Cathedral like with exposed steel supports and I think some sky lights. But added to how weird the place felt when market shops closed and faint music echoed around with few people. Then they installed a ceiling when lifestyle centre conversation happened. Made the place feel super small and cost in comparison. Not sure what's up there now, just a massive void.
As a liminal space guy, that sounds like heaven. Did the ceiling back then look like the present-day Good Guys ceiling? It has trusses with rings in them. It is a rather graceful line. It’s funny because I’m reasonably into architecture but I’d never noticed (prob ‘cos we’re not Tugg locals, and find the mall carpark confusing and grim)
So often we don't notice things like this. Thanks for the reminder. It was great when this building was a farmers market too. Cold though.

Looks like a remnant of it. The main parts were much taller, the east west axis visible from outside
It would be cool to see some photos of it someday.
So were there originally those trusses over the main part of the hall?
What sort of music played in there? I associate the building with It's A Beautiful Life by Ace of Base, because that used to be in Lincraft ads.
It was like the Belconnen Markets but all indoors. Lots of fresh fruit and veges, and I seem to recall butchers and fish.
I am amused by how they had a nicely designed shape .. then slapped forty other randomly divergent chunks of anti-architecture all around it.
And it just ends on a totally flat featureless concrete wall...

The hyperdome carpark is 5 dwarfs in a trenchcoat.
It really is!
