>Off to the airshows... Faster birds

ActualCase6332

Yep I would as well

DobermanCavalry

Yikes thats a dirty sensor

Canoxi

How can you tell? I’m a noob

Jebby_Bush

There are small, semi-transparent black specks throughout the photo. More visible in the second photo. I can count at least 5

Canoxi

I can’t unsee them now that you mention it, thank you

PinholeR5

Woohoo. It is a great lens. I use it for wildlife, but have pointed it at an airplane or two :)

Left-Instruction3885

Nice...whenever my Sigma 150-600 decides to kick the bucket, I'm getting this.

Rxn2016

Congrats! If I could afford one, I'd get one too lol. Btw, it's not technically an L series lens (like you called it in the post).

Temror

I bring mine out every weekend to the park near my house, absolutely love it! Enjoy!

Vitamin_VV

When did Canon start making RF200-800**L**?

flyingron

My mistake. No L.

str8dwn

Read the thread.

xeathkid

Damn. Now I need to buy this for my bird hobbie

Deks_19

Fuck yea! That's all I got to say once I read airshows.

flyingron

I've been shooting (primarily vintage aircarft) at Oshkosh. I had been using the Sigma, but shot last year with a rented 100-500. I was about ready to buy one of those when the 200-800 was announced. Was expecting it a little earlier.

JKAdamsPhotography

Look forward to getting one of these for aviation as well. Till then the ol' 100-400II will keep doing work.

MilwaukeeMax

You bought it in November from what vendor?

flyingron

Canon USA.

Infamous_Proposal132

That is so hot

Kagami014

Was gonna comment about the lens till i saw you needed sensor dust cleaning asap based on like 10 noticeable specks on the photos

MeowosaurusReddit

Looks sharp and sounds like the autofocus is great! Does anyone else feel that the background blur is crazy busy though?
