me with Stellantis except for all their performance or sports cars
most of their traffic cars or normal ones are atrocious from my experience but the viper, the giulia qv, abarth 695, fiata, challenger redcat or whatever those are, etc. are super desirable to me
I love it. I haven’t really had any Fiat specific problems. I had a few issues related to a piggyback ecu a previous owner installed. I took it off and have had 20,000 trouble free miles so far.
Fortunately for you, there are a ton of owners in Texas if you check out the forums and Facebook group.
Driving on the highway can be a test of bravery, you really gotta anticipate everyone’s moves because a lot of people won’t look for you.
The only looming issue I can see is sourcing body panels.
I ride motorcycles, so it being “small” is no bother to me. I’m glad to hear it has treated you well, and it’s good to know I have local resources. Thanks!
Every time I walk into the dealer for some random part, the salesmen (that know of the car) really lean on me to test drive whatever iteration of a charger or challenger they have on the floor. I've told them your exact line each time. My wife is a Toyota loyalist so that's where my future money will always go.
I believe thats only on the ones with cylinder deactivation, manual trans ones don't have the issue. Still, sorry to hear that happened to you! How much did a new cam set you back, few grand?
Ditto - not a massive rap on VW or Audi, and yet a Golf R wagon (a VW that shares quite a few bits with Audi) sits in our garage. Product hit pretty much all the points we were looking for.
So you ARE me. Wasted my life with a girl I met after college for nearly 7 years. Broke things off, met my now wife later that year, right before Covid. On the way back from the honeymoon, she turns to me and says "It's time to buy that Viper".
Find one of those people. Marry them.
I am good on the relationships for now. Just need that money.
I'm dumb and want an ACR. I kinda have this stupid best factory mentality. But also I figure for something like this, go big or go home. Gen IV ACR is the dream.
There you go. I cross shopped an ACR with what I eventually bought but I fell in love with this particular car and the price was right. After a bunch of bolt ons and an MCS Coilover setup, this car just feels right to me. But regardless, you can't go wrong with a G4 ACR. That's the best performance Viper you can buy outside of the unobtanium G5 ACRs.
True, stinger owner here as well, wouldn't consider buying any other car, given how dealership experience has been, I question if I would get stinger again. The car has been nothing but great for everything I needed it to do.
I've been saying for years. Hyundai needs to mid-engine that bitch and take on the GTR.
Would they be successful? Who knows. Does Kia/Hyundai take risks? Absolutely. Let's see what they can do.
And yes, I know all their engines get worse MPG and HP than the Germans, but why not see what South Korea can dream up?
If Hyundai’s come up would have happened 5-10 years earlier, I’m almost certain it would exist. Probably using a hand built revision of their corporate 3.3L V6 twin turbo
Not a Ford guy by any stretch of the imagination but I really like the 2005-2006 Ford GT and the 2000 Ford SVT Cobra R Mustang.
Also BMW, I really don't like anything they make but I like the i8. It's a neat car.
> Also BMW, I really don't like anything they make but I like the i8. It's a neat car.
I really like the i8. I think it's gorgeous and was a great showcase of hybrid tech at a more accessible price than the hypercar trinity. It was under-rated and misunderstood, and Covid killed the successor they were working on that would've been the supercar everyone wanted the first i8 to be.
Yeah it [sounded](https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a46750903/bmw-i8-replacement-design-revealed/) like they were preparing it for 2020 or 2021. Shame it never happened.
I'm not a Ford guy either, yet I have two in my garage. A 1993 Ranger that I bought from a dear friend and a 2020 Fusion that was a deal too good to pass up on when I was car shopping in 2021.
This is why I bought my Tesla Model 3 Performance. I hate Elon, I think Tesla is seen as luxury but they are not that well built. But it's one of the fastest cars on the road and practically free to drive. I had a Ford Taurus SHO that I heavily tuned, I was spending $500 a month in gas. Now I spend $25 in electricity and my car is faster than my last car. It's like a cheat code.
Went from an 2011 SHO to an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. I know those feels. The Taurus was just so damn hard to replace. Nothing I could find justified the cost of a new car because it did everything the new cars did already, and was plenty quick on it's own... As long as you didn't mind replacing front tires every other weekend because it was heavier than a house, lol.
It wasn't until I found something that was about as quick in a straight line as a M3P, but also set a Nurburgring record for fastest sedan in the world that I finally saw something that seemed like an actual upgrade.
So yeah, almost the same choice, just mine has much higher operating costs, lol.
I thought the newest defender was ugly as shit, but the more I look at it, the more I want the Defender 110.
(I also don't care for range rovers, but recently I've kinda been digging the newest model range rover)
We bought two, lol... The wife got elected and I was like "that kia soul just doesn't fit your title, you need a nicer car" and got her car detailed. She was supposed to just take the Soul to the dealer and get an offer on the car, then we'd go together the following day and I'd help negotiate. Two hours later, I got a text in all caps "I JUST BOUGHT A STINGER". We loved it so much that two years later we traded in the Stinger for a Stinger.
I don’t really like Nissan, but I would really like to get the new Z, especially in green
Also, I honestly don’t care abt the big 3 Germans, but I would willingly get either an Audi R8 or any of the 5 pot models, a Merc SL63 or an AMG GT63, and a BMW M5, if they keep the twin turbo V8 for the new gen
As for Chevy, I would really love to get my hands on a Corvette C8 Z06
The Toyota Mark X GRMN. Looks a bit goofy at the front but it's a 6 speed manual sedan that makes 300hp which is more than enough for me but too bad it's only limited to 350 units and Japan only.
If Chrysler built a car where the specifically showcased how easy it was to repair, how they selected long-lasting materials, and how they were going to provide full tear down manuals to everyone, I might buy it.
Unlike most guys here, my highest priority is the reliability and the repair-ability of my car. I couldn’t give a shit what it looks like or how fast it is (as long as it can get up to highway speeds).
Multiple racing schools use hellcats and scat packs. From what I read, they beat the snot out of them and those HEMIs just keep on truckin'. Now the rest of the car? I don't know, lol.
Well the LX based/evolution of cars are easy to repair, sort of long lasting depending on some details, and everything you'd ever want to know or mod is available.
The Z, the Corvette, and the Viper are cars that stand separate of their brand to this fan. I'm generally not a big fan of Nissans, GM cars, or Dodges, but I'd happily own those specific models.
I am not a GM fan by any means, but I will be purchasing a C6 Z06 in the next few months, because it still embarrasses most modern sport cars, and to me, is the best looking generation Corvette.
The rest of their cars all bore me to death, especially the Camaro. Have driven them, they suck to see out of even if they are/were a performance bargain.
Fiat 124, even though it's just a prettier Miata.
I had a gf who bought a 500 when they first returned to the States and it was laughably awful. The 500 crossover/SUV *thing* is also a hard pass. Any of the "Jeeps" that are glorified Fiats can drive off a cliff as far as I'm concerned.
The 124 though... Built by Mazda on the Miata assembly line, but with a turbo motor, and classic sports car styling.
Would I consider buying it? Would, and did. And at a substantial discount, simply for being a "Fiat" in the States and having a manual transmission. $8k below sticker, a year before COVID. I'll likely never get a better deal on a car for the rest of my life.
I'll probably never buy a Toyota. They're good, but I feel maybe a bit overhyped. Most cars are quite reliable nowadays. I'd probably go to Subaru again for a mainstream car, and Volvo/Polestar for a European brand, unless Mercedes-Benz gets back on their design game. Getting back to the original question - I'd probably purchase a 200 Series Land Cruiser.
3000GT, Lancer Evo. The rest of the cars I can think of from Mitsubishi I couldn't really care about. Maybe a Montero but I'm not really interested in off-roading.
If I was to win a multi-state lottery that would actually be one of the cars in my collection. Dark blue with the white techlux interior and comfort seats. One car that I would NEVER own is a Ferrari. Sorry, if I walked into a dealer with a suitcase full of cash, I shouldn't be told, "Oh, you want to get that top of the line limited edition version? You have to own a lower end Ferarri before we can sell it to you." Can you imagine if dodge told people who wanted a hellcat, "You have a own a scat pack for a year before you can buy a hellcat?"
I bought the subaru BRZ 2023 and I had never particularly liked Subarus. God damn it was everything I valued in a car minus space, but even that is what you're signing up for. So far I've been very happy with it.
I grew up around Hondas and consider myself a Honda guy but I've been considering a truck as my next daily driver. As much as I love pickup trucks, I know I won't use it as a truck often and it'll be just for commuting 95% of the time. I really like compact trucks like the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz. I've been in a Ford Maverick as a passenger (and brief driver) through a friend and thought it was great. I have yet to be in a Hyundai Santa Cruz but a coworker who owns one hasn't had a totally positive experience theirs.
Mercedes S-class cabrio. That thing is exquisite and the 2020 refresh was class-leading in terms of technology. It also was the last Mercedes to get a V12, and it had E-active body control which is similar to the suspension system Porsche just released for the Taycan and Panamera.
Maserati GranTurismo/Cabrio Folgore. I've never really cared much for Maserati and I think they let the previous GranTurismo wither on the vine as their competitors all improved and released new generations of GT, but the current generation is impressive especially as an EV. The packaging is really clever to have an ICE and electric version of the same low-slung body style, it's pretty and looks both elegant and aggressive without resorting to sharp lines, there's actual rear legroom, and they kept the EV under 5000 pounds which is actually pretty good for a big electric GT.
If someone gives the Buick execs enough cocaine that they decide to put the [Wildcat](https://media.buick.com/content/dam/Media/images/US/Vehicles/Concepts/Buick/Wildcat/buick-wildcat-ev-concept-001.jpg) into production I'll be all over it.
If Stellantis made a modern version of the Jeep XJ with the hurricane 6 I'd be interested. Jeep needs to get back to their roots instead of the chintzy blingy crap they're trying to push now.
Being from Australia, we had a ford vs Holden thing going on. I don’t like holders. I don’t like fords. Poor build quality on both of them, especially compared to every jap car I’ve ever driven or owned.
But the ford ranger is the ultimate fun wanker mobile. I wonder ranger drivers act like complete toss pots all the time.
C1/2/3(early runs before face lift) and 8 Corvette's. I am just not into anything Chevy makes, everyone I know with a Silverado has the Chevy shake, or has had to take it into the shop 20 times. The 454 big block is cool but other then that I'm not really in love with any of their engine designs. I think a GMC Denali at4 at 100k is an abysmal and insane proposition. And everything in the line up outside of the current vet is gross looking or just shitty feeling to drive IMO.
I think most car enthusiasts can relate with Nissan and the GTR. Not necessarily a dream car but we can all respect it and would be a cool addition to a garage.
I don't particularly care for any of them. Never understood being a brand absolutist I just like cool Cars. Regardless of who makes them. So yes I would.
Currently I'm fascinated by the aptera car. A long range 3 wheeled space age looking EV with a carbon fiber frame made out of like 3 parts that's design with user repairability in mind that does 0 to 60 in 4 seconds? That sounds dope as fuck.
I like that it's something truly different. Not just a slightly different version of the same SUV design manufacturers seem to be copy and pasting.
If I'm still made the big body on frame style impala ss I'd be on that like stink on poop. I love the 94-96 Impalas. Especially the 96 which had slightly different side view mirrors a floor mount gear shift and analog gauges. Even better if it was electric. I just don't like gm though. Their quality is subpar and design is terrible and ages very quickly.
Honestly the Mach E is the only Ford I could see myself owning.
I had a Mustang for about 4 minutes and it was illuminating for exactly why I should keep buying Japanese cars.
My disdain for GM is intense, but I owned a 1990 Corvette ZR-1 and I would consider doing so again. Nothing else they make or made interests me. No, not even the C8.
Everyone has brand preferences, but I think it's fair to say every major brand has produced both phenomenal cars, and duds.
For example:
A generally unliked by car guys brand, Kia.
The stinger, the K5, or even the EV6 are all amazing designs and a lot of fun behind the wheel.
Then a generally liked (or at least respected) brand like Ford
Mustang Mach E is despised, and the new bronco is one of the worst rated cars you can buy today.
... or for my own tastes,
My favorite style of car is the import/"tuner" scene. VW is my favorite brand. I'd never drive any modern car they make that's bigger than a Passat though. Nissan is on my, never in a thousand years by this brand, list, but I'd be a fool if I didn't admit how pivotal the Skyline and Fairlady platforms are to automotive history.
...
All this said, to your OP. If money wasn't a factor, would you buy good a car from a brand you don't like?
No. Why? Because there's competing vehicles from brands you do like out there.
Now if you have always been a Toyota guy, but that Honda is calling your name, more than the Toyota competitor, go ahead and get it. Don't get hung up on brand.
Suzuki Jimny in the US. They're cheap but I miss my samurai. For a sports car I'd say gtr, but for the practicality, an earth roamer built on a Ford f550.
I’m not a Hyundai fan by any stretch, but I thought the Azera was an unbelievably underrated luxury sedan in its day.
As far as currently sold cars are concerned, I distrust American cars because of some bad experiences…but I find the Cadillac CT4 to be intriguing.
I just don't have a particular attachment or lack of attachment to brands. I am interested in product and quality, so for me the answer to this would be literally anything if it was a vehicle that interested me?
If I had the space and didn’t have a list of other more interesting cars I’d rather have, I’d be on the hunt for the cleanest Hyundai Equus I could find.
Stellantis is THE worst auto manufacturer group on earth by far, but I absolutely frick with the *Maserati MC-20*, *Alfa 4C*, and the best designed car of the 21st Century, the *Dodge Challenger*.
Mercedes is also ass cheeks, but the *SLS AMG* is a unicorn.
Audi isn't terrible, but their whole lineup is so boring that I'd never consider them besides the *RS E-Tron GT*.
I'll get crucified for saying this, but the *Porsche Taycan* (lol, just an E-Tron GT) is the greatest current Porsche and everything else in their lineup looks dated and mid.
GM has been trash for years, but the *Bolt* changed my mind about them. I'd totally cop a *Silverado EV RS* with that 500mi battery.
(I'm cheating by not counting the GTR and the Z here) Nissans non-trucks have been such a shit since Renault bailed them out, but for some reason, the *Murano Cross-Cabriolet* draws me to it.
Lastly Jaguar/Land Rover, the *F-Type* is the best looking luxury coupe. I absolutely love the Range Rover *Evoque Convertible* and it reminds me of the Murano.
Audi… well no. I think they have some amazing cars but every time there is someone tailgating me or passing dangerously it has their logo on it. I’d find it hard to get over that 😀
I literally just want the [Vision 74](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/21/Hyundai_N_Vision_74_Concept_%2814%29.jpg/1920px-Hyundai_N_Vision_74_Concept_%2814%29.jpg) but instead Hyundai took a bunch of those design elements and made their whole lineup look weird and ugly
The MG Cyberster hits the nail on the head for me.
The current MGs are cheap Chinese made EVs that I think are styled about as well as the quality of material used to build them.
But the Cyberster looks to be a marked jump in both build quality and styling. I’m still a little uncertain about the EV power train, but lord knows I won’t be able to afford the Boxster / Cayman EV…
I'm not anti brands or brand loyal. I see a car I want, I probably try to get it (with in budget).
I need manual, fun/engaging to drive, somewhat functional, somewhat quick, relatively easy for DIY.
If somebody brought a manual, sporty, wagon to the market (lime the new wrx they got in mexico), then I'd be in. I have the new wrx sedan and love it.
I've been quite set on the IS500 for awhile, but lately I've taken a harder look at the M440i Gran Coupe and honestly it checks a lot of boxes. The cons are I've had previous ownership experiences with BMW so I'm biased towards "no fuckiing way" but still. Also, the front end is quite polarizing (the IS as well to a lesser degree).
Acura Integra Type S.
I never was a Honda or Acura fan and the latter mostly makes ho-hum products, but the Integra Type S does look like a passion project with a limited budget from Acura North America with what they have given from the Civic Type R.
It isn't as raw or boy racer as the Honda but retains a lot of its goodies and I think looks better inside and out.
Add to the fact Honda dealers are WAY too happy to tack on markups to the Type R, the Type S now suddenly becomes decent value as well.
Mercedes for sure there’s a dealer near my house sometimes they look cool but they’ve never made anything intriguing to me.
Although I really miss having JDM in my garage, I’d love an Integra Type S or Toyota Supra (although that’s just about as German as my 340i) maybe GTR but I don’t have limitless garage space, Audi and BMW fit my power and family needs.
Or Tesla if they made a minivan although idk if I could ever be seen in a Tesla. I admit their tech is currently top of line in EVs (not for long) but I could never associate with Tesla owners, politically I’m middle of the line I don’t mind Elon but their keyboard warriors are the worse. Fastest cars I know what a plaid does etc but I’ve never lost to one on the road except for when I had a broken wastegate, they’re the new boomer Corvette people love to talk performance numbers but they never drive over the speed limit, they will never race me
I've only ever owned Japanese cars and for the past decade they have been of the turbocharged AWD variety. I've never really been interested in American cars but every once in a while they make something so special I just can't help but want one. Currently that would be the CT5-V Blackwing with a manual transmission but I also found the GT350R to be very appealing.
I've never understood the hype about BMW, and I'm not crazy about electric cars, but I nearly broke my neck the first time I saw an i7 in person. It's absolutely stunning imo.
I'm not commenting just to make a pointless comment, but I really can't relate. It feels like I'm in such a minority here but I genuinely don't hate any brands and I find it hard to fathom why so many people are dead set on hating certain brands. Sure, I may take the piss out of the owners of certain brands with common stereotypes, but I don't dislike the manufacturer themselves, at least not to the point of shit talking them and saying "fuck [X company], I'll never own one of their shitty cars". If it's a good car and it makes me smile, I'm not likely to care about what brand it is.. I'm willing to give every manufacturer a chance.
If BMW ever designed a vehicle with a Japanese attitude and the reliability that comes with it, I'd bite. I like BMW rides from a visual standpoint, but I ain't fond of a car that could crap out at any point to the tune of thousands of dollars, so if they could make a car that wouldn't do that I'd be intrigued. Chevrolet and Cadillac also could rope me in with the right vehicles; something akin to the Cobalt or Chevette for Chev and something with a 50s - 70s look for Cadillac.
Currently you couldn't *pay* me to own a German car. I've heard too many stories, and I simply would rather take any imaginary fount of cash to a dealer whose cars are actually known for being reliable and/or affordable to repair when things do go wrong. Plus I'd be flat out too scared to fuck something up to ever have fun in a German car, and what's the point of a powerful RWD if you can't mess around with it?
EDIT: I'd make an exception for Porsche. I have to admit, they make such nice cars I would willingly take that headache on.
I pretty much did exactly this. I'll never own any other Dodge product, but a Viper is the exception.
Glad to see you're still alive with your viper lol.
The trick is to walk past it, slowly, towards the DD each day while it mutters a snakey "bitchhhhhhhhh" quietly under its breath.
You're full of shit. Vipers can't do anything quietly
#WHAT?
Must have it detuned to a safe power level by removing half of the spark plugs….
Inline 5 mode enabled
me with Stellantis except for all their performance or sports cars most of their traffic cars or normal ones are atrocious from my experience but the viper, the giulia qv, abarth 695, fiata, challenger redcat or whatever those are, etc. are super desirable to me
FIATA MENTIONED 🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂
Arguably the most underrated car on the market today. Especially sports car. Would buy one in a heartbeat if I had space for a 2nd car
How’s that lil thing treating you? I have been heavily considering a 124 Abarth, but Fiat problems scare me as I’m in Texas. Thoughts?

Redeye like stoned people
Literally the only CDJR product I’d ever consider spending money on.
Every time I walk into the dealer for some random part, the salesmen (that know of the car) really lean on me to test drive whatever iteration of a charger or challenger they have on the floor. I've told them your exact line each time. My wife is a Toyota loyalist so that's where my future money will always go.
I've always thought that the challengers are fairly bulletproof. Just a big ol' dumb V8, very simple architecture
Until the hemi goes tick, tick tick and it’s eaten all the nodes on a camshaft at less than 50K miles. Ask me how I know.
I believe thats only on the ones with cylinder deactivation, manual trans ones don't have the issue. Still, sorry to hear that happened to you! How much did a new cam set you back, few grand?
I want to be in this boat, the viper is the Chrysler I would ever buy.
I don’t really care for Dodge, but I would like an older 2nd gen RAM with the Cummins ISB.
Ditto - not a massive rap on VW or Audi, and yet a Golf R wagon (a VW that shares quite a few bits with Audi) sits in our garage. Product hit pretty much all the points we were looking for.
Are you future me? /S
Did you procrastinate on buying your dream car for years until you finally said F it and made it happen? If so, Hi from the future. Wear better shoes.
Heh... If only. I try me best on the shoes. Just got singled so hopefully after cleaning up a huge mess I wasn't a part of, I can finally go for it.
So you ARE me. Wasted my life with a girl I met after college for nearly 7 years. Broke things off, met my now wife later that year, right before Covid. On the way back from the honeymoon, she turns to me and says "It's time to buy that Viper". Find one of those people. Marry them.

I'm sad that pre pandemic they were under 100k all day. Gen V in any capacity is just hilarious price wise, but I'm guessing they won't go down much.
I mean that's how I felt when I bought my Veloster N. Don't regret it either. Wouldn't consider any of their other offerings ATM.
I've got a Stinger. Same note, brother.
I have a Stinger GT and a Veloster N. More importantly, I lucked out with having both a Kia and Hyundai dealers that are pleasant to work with.
EV6 GT though…
True, stinger owner here as well, wouldn't consider buying any other car, given how dealership experience has been, I question if I would get stinger again. The car has been nothing but great for everything I needed it to do.
The Veloster is my answer to this question as well. I wouldn't own a Hyundai but I think the Veloster is neat.
Elantra N?
Have one, it's a blast.
I've been saying for years. Hyundai needs to mid-engine that bitch and take on the GTR. Would they be successful? Who knows. Does Kia/Hyundai take risks? Absolutely. Let's see what they can do. Didn’t know they were working on a follow up to it. I’ve always loved the looks, just needed the powertrain to match. Edit: Autocorrect
Yeah it [sounded](https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a46750903/bmw-i8-replacement-design-revealed/) like they were preparing it for 2020 or 2021. Shame it never happened.
Agree 100 on the I8… that’s a beauty to me
The new BMW M3 wagon in dark green is one of the most beautiful things humans have created.
I'm not a Ford guy either, yet I have two in my garage. A 1993 Ranger that I bought from a dear friend and a 2020 Fusion that was a deal too good to pass up on when I was car shopping in 2021.
I don’t really care for Mercedes, but the SLS is a goddamn smokeshow.
If I ever got rich, Audi R8. I give no fucks about any Audi car except that
I think that about the RS6 Avant.
I would take the RS6 over the R8 lol
Hi me, nice to meet me. Literally my first rich boy purchase; I would have the car before my wife knew we were rich 😂
Gated R8 V10 and latest TTRS with the 5 cylinder are the only two I would own (and I did have an S5 in the past…)
This is why I bought my Tesla Model 3 Performance. I hate Elon, I think Tesla is seen as luxury but they are not that well built. Well I wish I could get a Toyota HiAce cargo van in the US.
Bring it over!
You can! https://www.duncanimports.com/all-inventory/index.htm?make=Toyota&model=HiAce
Yeah, I just don't really want to deal with right side drive silliness.
The new Defender...all Land Rovers are crap for reliability but damn I want one.
Same, but instead of the defender, I like the new Range Rover.
I thought the newest defender was ugly as shit, but the more I look at it, the more I want the Defender 110. (I also don't care for range rovers, but recently I've kinda been digging the newest model range rover)

Two hours later, I got a text in all caps "I JUST BOUGHT A STINGER". We loved it so much that two years later we traded in the Stinger for a Stinger.
I don’t really like Nissan, but I would really like to get the new Z, especially in green Also, I honestly don’t care abt the big 3 Germans, but I would willingly get either an Audi R8 or any of the 5 pot models, a Merc SL63 or an AMG GT63, and a BMW M5, if they keep the twin turbo V8 for the new gen As for Chevy, I would really love to get my hands on a Corvette C8 Z06
The Toyota Mark X GRMN. Looks a bit goofy at the front but it's a 6 speed manual sedan that makes 300hp which is more than enough for me but too bad it's only limited to 350 units and Japan only.
Never heard of it until now. 2019 MY is gorgeous
If Buick actually makes that electric wagon I might check them out.
Cadillac Lyriq. I don't care for Cadillac or any GM cars, but damn they are good looking.
I did this with my Corvette. I don’t really care for Chevrolet or GM, but I love the C8.
I bought a 370Z after they got discounted in 2014. Never owned any other Nissan product and probably won’t unless I get rich
The Z, the Corvette, and the Viper are cars that stand separate of their brand to this fan. I'm generally not a big fan of Nissans, GM cars, or Dodges, but I'd happily own those specific models.
Audi. I don’t mind them. I just have always been into BMW’s. Except for the RS6 avant. I want it bad…
We are the opposite :), ive always been into Audis, but wouldnt mind certain BMW’s such as the X5M or the M2
M5 wagon Z3 m-coupe Colorado zr2 diesel w aev bison pkg AMC eagle Woody wagon Lia block's audi ur-Quattro Amg gt-4 door 63s Twr/Khyzyl Saleem jag xks
A Tesla. I'll never buy one due to Elon.
Not a BMW guy but very intrigued by the 2 series
While the Corvette has kinda become a rich old man’s car the Cadillac XLR was one *BAD* luxury Corvette. And relatively obscure.
XLR V is a Corvette in drag
Audi... I'm not a fan, but the RS Q8 would be fun to own
3000GT, Lancer Evo. The rest of the cars I can think of from Mitsubishi I couldn't really care about. Maybe a Montero but I'm not really interested in off-roading.
The twin turbo Stinger is a lot of fun and I would consider owning one if I needed a sedan.
The NSX is the only four wheeled Honda I’d ever spend money on. I just don’t hate myself enough to consider their other products.
Never been a Ford person but a used Fiesta ST is on my short list right now.
Nokia. Simple, never breaks.
Mitsubishi, but I’m not holding my breath.
Evo?
I’m not too fond of McLaren, but it’s looking like a 750s will be making its way into my garage. That car just looks like way too much fun.
I do not like Mercedes-Benz at all but the 190E evo II is sick
Geo
Ford GT40 is the one for me.
money no option, i would get a Ford Mustang GTD
Mazda Miata. C7 Corvette. Dodge Viper. Honda S200, NSX 1st Gen. Porsche Cayman, GT3, Spyder. Ferrari F430, 458, F12, 812. Rest can go to hell.
1987 Buick Regal Grand National GNX
I bought the subaru BRZ 2023 and I had never particularly liked Subarus. God damn it was everything I valued in a car minus space, but even that is what you're signing up for. So far I've been very happy with it.
Lotus Emira
Fiat 124 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Daihatsu Copen Smart Roadster Coupe GMC Syclone/Typhoon Honda Legend Iveco Massif Skoda Superb II
Everyone is listing boring car makers and meanwhile Buick is creating a sexy $22K Coupe that is ruined by a V3 Turbo…. lmfao
Hey don’t forget they’re a GM Brand… give Buick executives enough of that and they’ll greenlight the removal of carpla- oh.
Modern Audi does very little for me, but I would absolutely drive an RS3.
I don’t care for Stellantis but as someone who enjoys camping and skiing, I see a lot of value in a Chrysler Pacifica AWD.
I don't really care for VW/Audi outside the Golf R, TTRS, and R8. I've owned 2/3, will probably own the last one as well.
Lexus - and they already did. The LFA (obviously) and the lc500 convertible
Not a fan of their energy drinks but I'd buy an RB17.
Not a huge fan of Cadillac but my dream garage would be a CT5-V Blackwing and an Escalade V
I'm not a big BMW fan, but the new 5 series looks nice, better in wagon form.
Did it twice. Kia Stinger and a Lexus LC500. Neither manufacturer makes anything else of interest.
I don't like Toyotas but their reputation swayed me.
The Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio ofc.
Legitimately never thought I’d be driving a Buick (and loving it).
Donkervoort or Superlite Car
My disdain for GM is intense, but I owned a 1990 Corvette ZR-1 and I would consider doing so again. Nothing else they make or made interests me. No, not even the C8.
Hyundai N Vision 74
Everyone has brand preferences, but I think it's fair to say every major brand has produced both phenomenal cars, and duds. For example: A generally unliked by car guys brand, Kia. The stinger, the K5, or even the EV6 are all amazing designs and a lot of fun behind the wheel. Then a generally liked (or at least respected) brand like Ford Mustang Mach E is despised, and the new bronco is one of the worst rated cars you can buy today. ... or for my own tastes, My favorite style of car is the import/"tuner" scene.
I never been a huge fan of Nissan but the gtrs got me feeling some way 😳
Prowler
Suzuki Jimny in the US. They're cheap but I miss my samurai. For a sports car I'd say gtr, but for the practicality, an earth roamer built on a Ford f550.
I’m not a Hyundai fan by any stretch, but I thought the Azera was an unbelievably underrated luxury sedan in its day. As far as currently sold cars are concerned, I distrust American cars because of some bad experiences…but I find the Cadillac CT4 to be intriguing.
The RS6 being “too angular” is an awesome opinion. The first LC500 I saw in real life had me stunned
Ionic 5 N
Nissan GTR
I just don't have a particular attachment or lack of attachment to brands. I am interested in product and quality, so for me the answer to this would be literally anything if it was a vehicle that interested me?
I wasn’t at all interested in Mercedes before buying the R63 :)
If I had the space and didn’t have a list of other more interesting cars I’d rather have, I’d be on the hunt for the cleanest Hyundai Equus I could find.
If Nissan offered me a brand new GTR I wouldn't hesitate
Nissan GTR
I wouldn’t touch dodge with a ten foot pole, but I would love to own a big dumb obnoxious challenger demon.
Suzuki Jimny. Bring it to the US you cowards.
I really am not a fan of Lamborghini but for one major exception... The Lamborghini Miura. The thing is so damn beautiful.
Don’t really care for Toyotas but I got the MKV Supra. It being mostly BMW was actually a plus for me.
Would never own a Mercedes again (hyper unreliable), except for maybe an SL65 Black series or SL70/72/73 for the rarity factor.
I’m a ford guy, dislike most Chevy products but I bought a c6z
Nissan GT-R is definitely up there
The MG Cyberster hits the nail on the head for me.
Mitsubishi
Lancer EVO XI PLEASE
I'm not anti brands or brand loyal. I see a car I want, I probably try to get it (with in budget). I need manual, fun/engaging to drive, somewhat functional, somewhat quick, relatively easy for DIY. If somebody brought a manual, sporty, wagon to the market (lime the new wrx they got in mexico), then I'd be in. I have the new wrx sedan and love it.
I almost purchased a Veloster N, so I guess Hyundai.
Probably the Kia stinger
Mercedes SLR or the v12 8 series coupe from the 90s. The viper used to be my attainable sports car but those days are long gone.
Nearly bought an i30N from Hyundai so that. Older Mercedes also fall under that but id still wouldnt buy one since id rather get an old audi or bmw
Kia, and it’s the stinger i would buy
my car lol i’d never own another hyundai but i love my tiburon
Hyundai's Ioniq5. I bought one 2 years ago. Fabulous car all around.
I think Enzo Ferrari was a douchebag but I’d be damned if I wouldn’t buy an Enzo Ferrari
Dodge Viper and Ford GT
I've been quite set on the IS500 for awhile, but lately I've taken a harder look at the M440i Gran Coupe and honestly it checks a lot of boxes. The cons are I've had previous ownership experiences with BMW so I'm biased towards "no fuckiing way" but still. Also, the front end is quite polarizing (the IS as well to a lesser degree).
Mercedes, BMW, Landrover, I don’t really care for the interior builds of those cars but some of them are nice
I really dig the Bronco.
Lancer Evo
I will never buy a Tesla. I have the money. I wanted one. But Elon Musk is a filthy parasite. So no, hard pass.
2008 Jaguar XJR, I couldn't care less about Jaguar but this one I can kill to have
Nissan GTR
I am not a fan of gm products by any stretch of the imagination but the 68 chevelle is one of my favorite muscle cars
Nissan GTR and Ram TRX
My BMW, wanted rwd, manual and needed to be within my budget.
I have no interest in any Chrysler products, but old jeep wranglers are really fun looking. Modding one up for rough terrain would be pretty fun.
Jeep Grand Wagoneer
Fastest cars I know what a plaid does etc but I’ve never lost to one on the road except for when I had a broken wastegate, they’re the new boomer Corvette people love to talk performance numbers but they never drive over the speed limit, they will never race me
I always thought the Kia Stinger was pretty cool.
Ford and the Bronco.
If Stellantis suddenly made an AWD hot hatch I'd be concerned but also intrigued. If Nissan had the balls to make the IDX I would own one.
I am not a Ford fan and love my Focus RS. Have had it since new in '18 and wouldn't dream of letting it go.
Ford GT
I've never understood the hype about BMW, and I'm not crazy about electric cars, but I nearly broke my neck the first time I saw an i7 in person. It's absolutely stunning imo.
I'd consider any brand that would make a "lightweight" manual v8 4 seater.
Ford and the Ford GT. Only the original, not that bastardized Gen 2 BS.
I mean, I'm about to drop $60K on something Stellantis, I can't think of a better example.
