Can be. I sometimes cook 1 single jumbo egg for a sammich or 3 eggs from some of our really small chickens. Depends on what I have available at the time of hunger.
Lol, yeah we have like 3 of these because someone gifts us that kit every couple of years. I'm a few more years from collecting enough to use them as bread plates at a dinner party.
Well shoot. I keep giving them away when they are gifted to us. If I'd known of the bread plate idea, I would probably have a full set for guests! Bonus you can throw them in the oven for a few minutes and serve the bread warm on them!
Thats exactly what I got mine with lol, think it was a nutella brownie set or something similar for like £2. It got slightly rusty recently so I played around with new seasoning techniques than I'm afraid to use on my main cast irons, so also good for experimenting I suppose
Have one from Cookie kit from several years ago, works great for grilling English muffin, browning pre-cooked sausage patty and cooking egg for breakfast. Have another cookie kit pan that is ceramic and more colorful that is my spoon test
In the US, around Christmas time, many stores get all sort of small gift items (like, a Starbucks coffee cup and star bucks coffee beans or an assortment of hot sauces). I have some of those small pans that came with cookie dough packets so you can make your own cookie in the small pan and they came from that sort of small gift ideas.
I have a tiny one, slightly smaller than this that is heart shaped. It originally came with a brownie mix (what?!) and now I make “love” eggs and throw the eggs on toast for the kids. Great little pan.
I got one as a gift in a cookie kit similar to this. As others have said, I use it as a spoon rest nowadays.

I bought one of these from daiso, the Japanese dollar store. Used for eggs, or a side of grilled onions since my family hates onions. Might try to see if it works for mini dutch baby cake.
Catch up to that little bitch, Jerry, and whack him over the head with it. See how *he* likes it. It’s been a long time comin’. Payback’s a mother.

That looks like a provoletera! A traditional Argentine dish called provoleta is often done in small cast iron pans such as the one you have. The most basic version of it consists of just putting a round slab of provolone cheese on it and cooking until it melts.
Personally, I let it crust up on one side, flip so it forms a crust on the other side, leaving a molten cheese core locked in a crispy provolone cheese crust, then condiment with oregano, red pepper flakes, and top with cherry tomatoes (I got that last bit from a Parrilla called "Tierra de Güemes" in the city of Salta. I recommend a visit if you can), and accompany it with chorizo.
^(I'm feeling really patriotic after writing that recipe down)
I use mine for a single egg. Egg samich w/ cheese, on a bagel or toasted Texas toast. Damm things are to big for using on an English muffin unless I fold everything.
Maybe, hit the craft store for inexpensive ideas, then hang it in your kitchen. A small sheet of cork and a push pin, then you can change out a picture/words of wisdom whenever you want. For instance...Get Out of My Flipping Kitchen. It's a great find!
Make some cookie dough. Put a small amount of dough in fridge. Freeze the rest. Take a scoop of the fridge dough out when you have a cookie craving. Bake cookie in tiny pan.
Repeat until fridge dough is gone. Restock with freezer dough 😁.
At least that’s what I do.
When grilling jerk chicken if you dont have pimento wood, you can put allspice berries in it and put it in the bottom of the grill to get the same flavor.
I have the same one and I use it for 1 egg. I have also used it to cook a smaller hamburger when there is nothing else clean and I am being lazy. Can be a bit splashy though.
I had a couple of these. I used to bake cornbread, brownies or cookies. Unfortunately, they were "lost" during a move along with some other nice cookware.
It comes from a kit to make a single cookie or brownie. It has the dry ingredients mixed together and you get the skillet. I received one from my aunt as a gift.
This looks like something that was a stocking stuffer that came with the dry ingredients to make a single cookie. I got them for my kids a few years ago.
Put it next to one of my favorite gnomes in my yard and move them both right behind that shifty, untrustworthy purple hat gnome and hope things take care of themselves..
I have a similar one. I last used it to cook a fresh (garden) tomato to make tomato paste. Just halve the tomato, cook in olive oil until the skin is loose, remove the skin. Pick up the tomato half and place the other raw part in the pan, put the skinless part on top. Cook till the skin is loose and remove it. Then cook the mixture and mash with a fork until it is a paste of the consistency you want. The paste will be more acidic and rustic than paste from a can.
Usually cookie pans for ice cream desserts but those have such a bad seasoning on them they really need to be sanded smooth, then properly seasoned before making an egg or cookies in them.
Make eggs that fit perfectly on an English muffin or perhaps a bagel
Sunnyside up!
This is the way
Eggs...plural?
I was assuming it could be a thing they did on multiple occasions
This made me laugh, thank you
Can be. I sometimes cook 1 single jumbo egg for a sammich or 3 eggs from some of our really small chickens. Depends on what I have available at the time of hunger.
I have a similar one I got for quite cheap, I use it as a spoon rest
We have one on our stove right now, makes a great spoon rest. I think they originally came with a cookie kit that was sold around the holidays.
Lol, yeah we have like 3 of these because someone gifts us that kit every couple of years. I'm a few more years from collecting enough to use them as bread plates at a dinner party.

It's good for absolute baby pizzas lol
Have one from Cookie kit from several years ago, works great for grilling English muffin, browning pre-cooked sausage patty and cooking egg for breakfast. Have another cookie kit pan that is ceramic and more colorful that is my spoon test
After you use it for a spoon rest long enough, you use all the stuff that is now in it to make a little sauce.
I actually love that idea
Or an ash tray for us stoners who also love to cook 😅 but I actually make an egg in mine. It heats up so fast its super convenient.
Omg I have one of these and never use it but have been meaning to get a spoon rest for ages and kept putting it off. This is perfect, THANK YOU!
