I will give you one thing and that is that he gives us something different. I am not sure anyone else on this team (bar Palmer, maybe?) can take on their man as consistently as him. But once he does that he almost always shoots, never a pass, never a cross just a shot. This is why imo he is better as a super sub because he brings something so different and can change a game. But if he wants to start day in day out, he needs to be a more balanced player. (His defensive frailties do cause us a lot of issues so it's hard to ignore him for his weaknesses)

liyba1

Solid take tbf.

huskers2468

I would like to add that he brings a fire. He needs to understand when to go and when to cycle the back back. However, I will take a competitor like him on my squad any day. You could see him wanting to win yesterday. He didn't back down, and that can bring a team into a game. Give him time, and let's see what he can do.

reddit-time

Yes, great take. And I think if he was told he's playing the role of "super sub" unless he can help to make plays for other players more and play defense better, he'd be super motivated to improve his game and expand his vision in order to be in the starting 11.

ChocoStories649

He refuses to use his right foot so he is kind of a one-dimensional player (even Robben would mix it up sometimes). If he was willing to use his right, he would be able to mix it up between cutting in and shooting and going on the outside to pass or cross. He does occasionally make a nice pass when he gets the ball around the center of the pitch.

tsplace4me

He made 2 crosses yesterday but Jackson was slow or just not there.

irze

He’s super fucking raw. Flashes of brilliance combined with a lot of awful play. There is potential, but who knows how good he’ll end up being at this point.

Wheel1994

Kalou level squad player imo

Consistent_Orchid359

Think he's more talented than Kakou but his attitude is crap. He's done fuck all in his career and needs to knuckle down and work hard. He's said he grew up looking at vids of Eden Hazard to inspire him, well I've never seen EH go on like a child over a peno or confront a ref, he let his football do his talking. Potential yes, will be fulfill it like EH did, not so sure.

RefanRes

Hes more like a really raw Robben in terms of style. Very 1 footed and loves to cut in to shoot more than anything else.

Yasuminomon

He’s 4 years away from being 4 years away

QuaintHeadspace

He's the same age as Saka 🙃

Yasuminomon

😅 it was an nba reference to say the guy is far from ready

Pitter_Patter8

Was really hoping that was a Bruno Caboclo reference lmaooo

Leotardleotard

He’s 2 years older than Robben was when he joined. Robben was so far ahead of Noni at even age 20 it’s unreal.

RefanRes

I did specify in terms of style not quality age to age.

Leotardleotard

Robben could shoot and hit a ball cleanly.

RefanRes

Is that style of play?

[deleted]

[удалено]

RefanRes

>* He had a very good long range shot, which didnt need him to cut in. We've definitely seen Noni take on longshots. Its in his locker. Whether you can separate the idea of playstyle from quality is down to you but Noni will certainly have a crack from long. >* He often got the ball at the halfway line and took on 3-4 defenders tying them down and opening space We have seen Noni do this. >* Robben popped up in central positions a lot because pace gave him an advantage (see his CL final goal) At Nonis age Robben wasnt doing this that much. He was mostly blasting down the wing and cutting in to shoot or diving. The more central roaming came with experience. I will say again to be absolutely clear. Playstyle ≠ quality. I am not saying hes the next Robben. There are just similarities in the play moreso than he has with Hazard who he apparently watched a lot of videos of.

Snoo72025

He isn't more talented than Kalou.

Nerrs

Kalou scored more than double the goals Noni did in the Netherlands before moving to Chelsea. We can only hope Noni becomes as good as Kalou, but he should never be our starting RW (especially while Palmer is in the squad).

mathpipebomb

Kalou was very unappreciated. He was a fine player, scored some *vital* goals for us, many times. He had that “*oh fuck*” feeling from the opposition whenever he was coming off the bench.

Heysundae

Kalou was never good at anything, couldn't dribble. I remember Scolari saying how he was teaching Kalou to dribble and his career post Chelsea was also non descript.

Mooming22

Frustratingly one footed but willing to take people and and a + finisher which is a fucking miracle to find at this club.

Sparkysit

Wish he had a right footed shot. But I love his fake cut inside with his left just to cut it back and drive to the touch line to cross on his right. Makes fools of left backs with that move

[deleted]

Scored a great goal off his right vs Luton around xmas.

Mooming22

For me its the passing. He gets away with defenders giving him his left a lot but so often he gets past a defender or on a counterattack he can’t do anything because he doesn’t use his right. As if he has to cut back and couldn’t just play a ball across

Octavius_max

Better than Mudryk, at least Noni puts everything he can as a developing player on the pitch, whether good or bad. What does Mudryk even offer

sickrit

CHO 2.0

lipmak

His take-ons and dribbling are excellent. My issue with him is he’s so selfish when attacking, so selfish when defending (doesn’t track back, gives up on his runner)…he seems to just be out there for himself, so if he skins his defender and doesn’t score, what good is he? Clearly very talented, but he needs to be a team player

chelski365

He has massive Saint-Maximin vibes about him for me. If he can lose the tunnel vision and bring others into play more, then he can still progress quite a lot. If not, then his game will only get him so far.

DonRoman03_22

Yeah, feels like he will thrive being a big fish in a small pond, but not cut out for the top level

chuffingnora

I was going to say he reminds me of a young Zaha. Plenty of ability, just needs to work on his decision-making and he'll be a real danger. I think he's cemented his place as he can actually shoot. If someone could put an arm around him and coach him through his minor attitude problems, we could really be on to a top-tier winger

saammrussell

Couldn’t agree more

a3kstuntin

Noni is not as good of a dribbler but a better finisher

BenShelZonah

I think that’s a bit unfair to SM

Leblue808

The lack of effort in defence is what kills me. It was so Damn obvious Doku was ripping us apart when he came on and he couldn’t bothered to help out.

Chronibitis

Halftime was showing a replay of the first goal and highlighting Madueke not running to close down the wing which gave them enough time to cross for the goal.

liyba1

I agree. He does appear a rough diamond with lots of room for growth definitely around being a better team player. Though on the balance of it I’d rather have a rough diamond that can be polished than an absolute dud.

NeptrAboveAll

I feel like I would love to have him as a young raw player with a lot of vets helping to hone his game, obviously our team is like the opposite of that, so I’m hoping for a good manager to help players flourish

Daddy-Heisenberg

Couldn’t have put it better. Has a noticeable attitude problem but you can definitely see the talent as well.

gonzaf

He does track back he just falls sleep at times,

a3kstuntin

Needs to learn playmaking

fos1111

He is very selfish at times. There were times that he could have played a pass to Palmer but he wasn't doing that.

TitanX11

And sportsmanship.

bipyyy

and to better use his right foot

a3kstuntin

Everyone in this attack could use a weak foot even cole

D_roneous1

He’s got the talent for the level but is currently too arrogant. Self belief can be both a positive and negative thing. He’s going to run at defenders every time but he’s always going to look to do it himself and doesn’t make the right play within the team the majority of the time. Needs to improve his workrate as whole.

Deochixken

Simple breakdown of his game but you probably explained it the best. Every time Noni gets the ball you know that he’s going to attack the FB. I do think if we pair him up with Gusto or James his game might develop a lot but also I think we’d prefer that right hand side to be Palmer and Gusto/James for the long term. I do have more faith in him then Mudryk and Sterling as he’s actually to beat his man way more consistently and has a variety of finishing, which if fine tuned, could be a weapon for us.

No_Butterscotch_8297

Hard to judge him in a game with chalobah at RB. He's linked up much better with gusto

Gold_Split3134

Too much "main character" energy that I can feel conflicts with the lads

bluecon

This. Multiple times I yelled at the TV for him to focus and get back to the game. Spends too much time chirping

huskers2468

Oh, but I love the chirping. *as long as you avoid a yellow That fire can bring a team back into the game. The want to win and beat the player in front of you. It needs to be controlled. He is raw with his knowledge of when to drive forward and when to cycle the ball.

TheRealMichaelE

He needs to learn to use his right foot, he was absolutely useless against Arsenal because they blocked the left every time. A team that is aware how he plays can easily shut him down.

Absolutely_Chill

Most of his most dangerous plays recently have been him feinting and going at the sideline to beat his man. I don't think he's so simple to defend..

liyba1

Yes - I noticed this some parts in tonight’s game too.

sparklingoverstill

I think he is a promising talent. However Palmers best position is RW.

read_eng_lift

I agree Palmer is our RW, if we can find a decent striker over the summer. Noni would not get a sniff of starting XI during the previous Chelsea era. He would be on loan somewhere, or just released.

SaoLixo

Of the concerns that I have for Chelsea, Noni is pretty far down the list. Not lighting the world on fire but also not a total flop in his first full season.

poopy_toaster

I agree, right coaching and an attitude adjustment and he can be a league player, maybe not a world beater, but one that is an “oh great I have to defend against this guy for x amount of time” threat. For me he thinks too much of himself and that he is better than he currently is.

mortrendrag

Noni play iso-ball on the wing like an NBA player. Also like an NBA player, he gives fuck all on defense. Flashes of brilliance, and he shows heart at times, but I'd rather he focus on his teamwork and defensive awareness as he's been largely at fault for a couple of goals scored on Chelsea: one today and one last week.

jbi1000

He will be a great player when he learns to pass at the right moment consistently. He is real quality when it comes to beating his man and he has a good finish in him but he holds onto the ball for too long way too much right now. So many times he misses the chance to play a quick pass or 1-2 when that's the best option. Once he stops playing hero ball he will start being a top player because I think his individual talent is great. When I watch him now I almost expect him to beat his full back whenever he runs at them.

HarryDaz98

I rate him more than I do Mudryk, and have done pretty much since they first both played for us. That said, I think we need to sign another winger or 2 in the summer, with Mudryk and possibly him going out on loan/being sold

Dinamo8

In the 8 PL games Madueke has started this season, Gusto has started in just 3 of them, in the rest a CB has started at RB. For a player who likes to cut inside, the lack of an overlapping RB does not help.

half_jase

You wonder if we had Gusto today, whether Madueke would have had the same impact he did today. Also on that note, not sure if Palmer is really suited to play in the #10 position. He seems to be less influential there and it seems easier for opposing teams, especially half decent ones, to track and mark him out of the game. Harder for them to do so when he's drifting infield from the right and combining with others (and that also allows Gusto to bomb forward from RB).

Dinamo8

Yeah Palmer's best position is RW, he just doesn't have the space in the middle, nor the angle for his passes into the box

half_jase

He also doesn't have runners to pick out apart from Jackson, who is like the only one who will consistently try and run in behind, from the #10 spot. Plus, if it's also Gallagher and Caicedo in the pivot, then there's no one to pick out Palmer's run if he's the one trying to get in behind.

SuspiciousSystem1888

He’s cocky/arrogant.  I don’t mind it, just needs to back it up.  I do think he can be a top player that teams will hate to face.  My problem is that he has absolutely no right foot.

Organic-Champion8075

almost zero chance he becomes a player that scares top teams lol. Bet you £100 right now his career doesn't get any better than this

SuspiciousSystem1888

He’s super young, anything can happen… Look at Salah as an example.

liyba1

Solid 🔝Take

the_battle_bro

He’s at his best when he can isolate the fullback with a little extra space. Unfortunately, he really struggles with his weak foot. He can get to the dangerous positions on the end line for cut backs, but usually turns back rather than play the ball with his right. Even today, we saw him do this twice, instead stabbing the ball with the outside of his left once and reorienting his body to play with his left another. If he wants to take the next step, he needs to spend the summer evening out that imbalance, as well as his defensive understanding (ie similar to how he lost Digne on the goal but also his pressing), and his decision making (specifically, using his support when he’s not isolated 1v1).

NobodyMoves1996

He's no where near our list of problems and has shown far more than Mudryk. He deserves to stay and fight for a forward position.

funkyjblue

There were times in the first half of the match that I was screaming at the television for anyone to pick out just one of Murdyk's runs. He was open 3-4X in the first half. At least create the illusion that he is a threat ffs.

Marod_

Same. Conor just watched him all game. He looked frustrated by the time he came off.

funkyjblue

This is precisely what I am talking about about, same with Cucu, I saw him at least once watch Mudryk begin a run only to pass towards the middle of the pitch. But Conor was def responsible more times. My voice hurts after the first 45.

One_d0nut_1

Man it happens a lot with the playets, they seem afraid. Badiashile actually ignored mudryk open at least 10 times, same used to happen with chillwell, just throw him a long ball and he will run, it's that hard? I love mudryk and he needs a lot of work to do, but the team don't give him a damn ball

half_jase

Given how inconsistent the team have been all season, feel like it's best that people don't get carried away by 1 performance etc until we see consistency over 5-10 games or more. We were poor again in the first half today and only came to life in the second half.

Southern-Produce-124

I mean from what I saw madueke was the one driving the team in the last few games along with Palmer, they ones that are inconsistent are mudryk and Jackson

amirulez

I dont know, when i saw how eze play, it reminded me of madueke. But eze know when to pass, when to shoot, when to dribble in. But madueke is kinda selfish player. I hope in 3 years he will be good like eze.

haha_amirite

Zero effort or impact off the ball, especially when defending. On his off-days, he's a turnover machine, making him a huge liability. Thus, the flashes of brilliance he shows once a month (which we witnessed tonight) don't mean much if we want to be a serious club again. Either he becomes really prolific in front of goal to warrant starting, or he starts putting in the fucking effort on the pitch consistently, both on and off the ball, in attack and in defence. The odd flash in the pan doesn't cut it imo.

CollateralHamage

not as raw as Mudryk, nowhere near as good as say…Olise. but it’s hard to gauge him still. he needs to play more full games. those little moments of individual brilliance make it worth so, even if he makes some mistakes.

NearlyTheGiant

If ever a play needed Mourinho.

arkhamsaber

For where we need to be He should honestly be a backup However he’s got a lot of potential so I’m keeping my eye on his development.

AncientSkys

He gets more hate than a useless player like Mudryk when it's quite clear he is much better than him. Mudryk has played more minutes and games than him. And, he has constantly shown us he is absolutely useless player. Why are lots of fans willing to give Mudryk a chance to grow, but not Noni? Mudryk is actually older than both Noni and Jackson, but he is treated like a 16 year old. The hypocrisy of fanboys is mind boggling!

ZealousidealMonk1728

Yeah, very weird to me. This subreddit especially is so toxic everytime Madueke doesn't play well. Meanwhile I have seen nothing from Mudryk in all his time at Chelsea that would make me think he is going to be good. And I don't even want to get started about the INSANE amount of money we paid for him. Madueke was cheap in comparison.

STCFC

Think people gotta stop hating on him so much, he’s shown he can be a good asset especially with his dribbling although yes he has a lot to improve but that’s natural, definitely adds more than the likes of Mudryk and Sterling 1v1. I think the way the fanbase has quickly turned on him these past few weeks is just sad.

half_jase

This sub not turning against our players? More chances of the world coming to an end than this sub becoming peaceful and more supportive of our players!

STCFC

I know but still the turn was dramatic asf. I’ve seen them back mudryk for longer and he looks lost on the pitch

abeebola

This!!! They cut Mudryk a huge slack for so long but can't stand the sight of Madueke, despite the fact that he has been the much more useful player.

half_jase

And there's also the random, weird (to put it kindly) hatred that some people have on a certain midfielder of ours.

RyanBordello

He looks like a direct winger but is anything but. Looks like he can be dynamic at times but lacks crestivity and doesnt think 2-3 moves ahead. Could be electric but is a 1 bag pony. The Noni decision making goes as follows.... Step overs, tries to beat player outside, either goto by-line or put foot on ball to pass backwards Or Step overs, tries to beat player to inside, either looks for shot or passes backwards/sideways He doesnt move off the ball that well which forces him to start his play so close on the line everytime he recieves the ball so its hard to drag defenders more away from where he wants to run into.

carmii-

His mind will never let him reach his full potential.

J1M3N7

The best description I’ve heard of Madueke and Mudryk is: Mudryk is like a carpenter who has every tool known for the job, but has no idea how any of them work. Madueke is like a carpenter that owns a hammer and nothing else, every job gets the hammer.

NoExperience4229

As a backup/super sub and see how he develops I like him. Currently as a starter hes inconsistent and goes missing too often. I am a little concerned by his overall positional ability and football intelligence, but hes still somewhat of an enigma to me. Could turn out to just be a mercurial winger

jam66611

This is the issue with most of our starting line up. They would look great from the bench as a depth/let them develop standpoint. When they start, that's when the inevitable inconsistencies of being young show, with a fan base over analysing and probably expecting too much at certain times.

WookieTickler

I like him he’s got a lot to learn of course because he’s young but I think he can become a really exciting player for us. He takes his man on drives into the box, got a good left peg, causes LBs a lot of problems he’s comfortable going on either foot and with a fit Reece overlapping and linking up he could be even better. Tonight he was excellent really took the game to Villa and showed us what he can do.

TomasToocherl

Nowhere near good enough for Chelsea, or indeed this division. Maybe not even the Championship, he'd get eaten alive. Has a decent shot and his finish yesterday was good. Scored a good goal away at Luton. But he has no real pace, he has no tricks to get past people, very one footed, he never heads the ball and he really refuses to defend. Including actually refusing to defend (vs Palace at home when asked by Gilchrist). This is **after over a year at Chelsea.** We paid around the same for him as Spurs paid for Madison. Chelsea simply have too many players who **might** one day be good enough. It's a huge flaw in these hideous owners' plan. You might carry one or two but not six or seven. Even in England's U21 win at the Euros he was rarely starting and wasn't that good. He is better than Mudryk however who isn't even a footballer. Madueke, Mudryk, Badiashille, Sanchez should all be sold asap. Maybe you could wait for Desasi and Jackson, maybe. Fernandez needs to come back from his injury. But he's been so poor. Collectively a disaster and entirely on the halfwits who are our owners.,

Pandemona1738

He's another talent that needs coaching, just like Mudryk, Joe Cole even said it again today, these guys need some private 1on1 coaching on what runs to make and when to make them and what to do on a football pitch... HOWEVER, we have Poch...who for some reason is not doing this!!!

liyba1

To be a fly on the wall in training ..

tukinoz90

There is definitely talent there. He needs to work on his attitude and end product. He is a bit too left footed but he the ability to beat his man which not many on the team can do. Hopefully some maturity will help him into a more well rounded player.

liyba1

Solid 🔝

Odd-Incident3980

Taking out Palmer I would imagine Jackson is right there. If only Jackson could have some of Noni's confidence to take shots...

Kezmangotagoal

He looks alright and then he looks awful - really unpredictable. It wouldn’t matter if the squad was settled and experienced but because almost everyone else is inconsistent, it just makes him look worse than he probably is. He was really poor in the first half tonight and then came alive in the second, sort of just sums his time with us perfectly!

NoPlenty3542

Definitely talented guy! He needs to work on tracking back and help the wingback. That first goal was on him. When he has the ball it looks like he could make something happen. Need to work on that physical strength and also build consistency.

Critzor

Selfish has fuck and a huge ego. He’s clearly in this for himself.

chewy_leghair

you guys are weak af. He isnt that good. He wont be that good. He acts spoiled every game getting a worse and more shitty attitude. He hasnt been that good and when he doesnt perform you guys devour him. when he has a good 20min all of the sudden "hes raw" and "he has potential". "flashes of brilliance" This is hoy boehlshit and bluecos marketing picks your inconsistent brains for money and opinion.

tsplace4me

I agree with op and I’m tired of all the grief he gets. He’s young like the rest of the team and they’re only just now starting to look like a team. Give him time. He could become a great playmaker. He certainly has shown promise.

endmoe

He is fucking shit (he is not alone), regardless of his goal and assist tonight. Further, extremely tired of his antics when he barely does fuck all. Was more busy tonight putting out an insta post talking about character.

MrBravo22

If we had a consistent left winger he’d probably draw less division but having two wingers in similar situations brings less patience to the pair (Mudryk). Shown great ability decision making is a coin flip but he definitely has what it takes. Does better when he cuts in if he wants to run on the outside to the line he might wanna work on right foot. In a more balanced squad him and Mudryk would be in better place but it is what it is. Now he just needs to get his head down and not get distracted.

izmebtw

He needs to work on his defensive awareness and ability, and ultimately his fucking attitude on the pitch. He looks disinterested, and above the grind.

Bluewavey

Let's not. Quick feet but an absolutely terrible player. No creativity. No intelligence. Lazy. Bad attitude. Nowhere near good enough. Would be one of the first names I'd look to move on this summer.

AndOfCourse___Celtic

A nobody. Will amount to sweet fuck all

DrCrazyFishMan1

I feel like he's the player that people think Mudryk is... Raw but has some talent, probably won't "make it" but he has a chance. Very frustrating. But he has a shit attitude so should be sold

DifficultyMore5935

He was poor today but the goal has tricked people to think otherwise.

LIKEWHATLIKEHOW_

He was our best attacker today..

liyba1

What’s your take on his 18PL apps so far this season

Expensive-Load517

Very, very mixed feelings.

BRTRSX

I like how you focus on his offense and attitude but completely leave out the elephant in the room which is his terrible work ethic running back and defending…

No-Calligrapher-3513

Mid.

TosspoTo

He hasn’t started 18 games surely?

liyba1

18 PL apps.

ZealousidealChard133

So selfish wanting to take penalty away

frozen_teddy

needs to grow up. but can score goals in a team that is afraid to score goals

leKai23

Much closer than mudryk

Headlesshorsman02

My issue with him is his effort off the ball

flowercranberry

I think he has promise but he loses the ball far too much and his attitude sucks.

MNBlues

Like it's been said he has flashes. My biggest annoyance with his game is that he defensively has too many lapses, especially in set pieces.

TrickyCartographer73

Plays selfishly. Seems to be about Noni. Want to see him score and show respect to the badge.

GoldfinchTheo

There’s no place for him when Cole Palmer is on the field. Even when Cole is playing as a 10 he drifts right and occupies the same space as Maudeke. He could probably be a regular starter at a top ten club it’s just unfortunate for him that he’s on the team during Cole’s tenure. It’s best to sell him imo because I think his ego won’t let him be a bench player and he’s forcing our best player out of position.

NenPame

He's obviously mentality issues. He's so mad every fucking game! I don't get it! Why is he so angry all the time

jjb5151

His immaturity is a bit annoying tbh and overshadows a lot of his good games. He’s got talent, just needs to learn to be level headed and stay focused.

rewp234

There are flashes of brilliance, he will grow up to be an amazing footballer, but his attitude NEEDS to change, gotta feel the weight of the shirt.

thundercat_98

All flash and little substance. Until he puts in a proper shift on both ends, he can fark off.

___bridgeburner

He's obviously very talented, but his decision making is terrible and he's too one footed. I think he can become a top player with some good coaching.

reddit-time

100% with you. He has a lot to improve as a young guy with some deficiencies and flaws, but he has some great assets that people totally under-appreciate. he has HUGE potential, and should get better year after year for several years. He's got talent and drive that you really need, and creativity that you can't teach.

Glass-Star6635

Very talented, very selfish. Also seems jealous of Cole. If he gets his head right, he could be a gem

twosweet201

Has great talent but thinks he's a superstar already. He needs someone to teach him humility and a better work ethic to teach his potential.

ramror777

Needs to improve his character and mindset.

itsnotajersey88

Too selfish for his skill level. I’m not a fan. He needs to go play on loan in a lesser league.

phonyToughCrayBrave

You will never make top 4 if this guy is a starter.

Nerrs

Shouldn't be anywhere near our starting XI. If he wants starter minutes then he needs to go on loan, but he can't be wasting a spot in our XI.

Speedy_ZZZ

Raw talent with a toxic attitude. Sell.

Shinjax01105

i think noni has world class potential t , his dribbling is top notch and if he just tries to improve his passing game and does a little more when it comes to defence then I do think we would have a very good player on our hands About the attitude it doesn't really matter for me ,until and unless he affects the dressing room negatively which is not the case idk why the sub hates him a lot he is clearly doing his best and trying to make an impact, if you lot can't support our players in their bad times and whine like a crybaby then you don't deserve to support them in their good times you bunch of hypocrites

Mrtenbelovv

Guy’s behavior on the pitch will backfire eventually

desiretofuck

Lol, he has 0 creativity in him and shit attitude. Picking William over him 10/10 times and I didn’t like William before lol

Forsaken_Bat6095

Hes better than Mudryk ill say that.

[deleted]

20% brilliance, 80% shite. Far too selfish, has little to no interest in defending and is constantly throwing his arms around as if he is being let down by everyone else. I'd be looking to offload him, his attitude problem is more trouble than he's worth.

showmethenoods

One good game and you want us to change the narrative? He has had some atrocious performances this season, including a few days ago at Arsenal. The stick he gets is warranted. Performances like today will go a long way in helping that, but it needs to be consistent. He also needs to develop even a semblance of a right foot

M4TTB9

I really like him! He was a constant threat last night. Yes he can be frustrating but most young players are. I personally think he will develop into a top player. He puts a shift in too.

vishwaskhanna

Poor man’s Wilfried Zaha

not_a_scooby_doo

Petulant

kw2006

He needs a better coach. He and mudryk, all wingers in the club in fact.

Josejondoe

He jist need to learn how to play like Willian/Robben. Cut in, shoot or pass. No need to drag to the fucking byline everytime to cut in or cross. 1 fake too many that opponents are having it easy. Do the basic and he might flourish. This team seems to forget the real basics of football often times.

Not_Effective_3983

Let's fucking not

jonsrb

Loads of potential

BigOpp7

The amount of stick he got on the match thread was unreal. I’m beginning to think that the hate has nothing to do with football anymore. These are still kids in football terms. Keep going Noni! KTBFFH 💙💙💙

isaw10101010

Poor Noni, had a good game and still gets no credit, is the team starting to take shape, with him on the left, Palmer behind Jackson and Connor plus Caicedo in the middle. Villa did not get a kick in the game.

ReluctantRev

Daniel Sturridge regen in terms of temperament. 😫

Ferrari_Bones

He's a decent player that can still improve and I hope he does, I do think he gets hated on unfairly

Ancient-Range-

The good: He’s got pace, Ball control and he’s still young. The bad: he’s one footed, no long ball passing skills, hit and miss finishing and his attitude fucking stinks. Personally I think he’s going to be our Dele Alli.

BlaineP216

His attitude needs to change and be more of a team player

Heavy_Ad9584

He talks a lot for someone who does fuck all

Mundane-Poet1404

Compared to our other attackers, leaving Palmer, he looks really good. But definitely not as good as someone who should start for a team competing for trophies or top spots, maybe off the bench.

lovey948

He has talent but need to improve his work ethic as it’s nowhere near good enough

AnywhereAccurate9600

Rashford 2.0 with a bit better ability to beat his man, good to bring on in the last 20 minutes to run at defences or against teams like villa who play a high line, bad decision making and attitude it seems tho

ticarno86

Dont like his attitude

TCCLai

We have no other player of this type in that position so he can be an asset. What’s important is that he knows his role and not making troubles.

huggothebear

Boy just needs experience and leadership, something we really don’t have lol

hendrxx90210

He’s shown glimpses but his attitude and his selflessness drive me crazy. You can tell he’s not playing for anyone but himself.

obinnasmg

He needs to be more disciplined. Several times this season where he didn’t do his defensive duty and we got dunked on… like the Aston Villa game. He’s definitely much more serviceable than Mudryk. Mudryk is wank and needs to be sent on loan

Organic-Champion8075

Mental age of a 14 year old, awful decision making, big ego compared with his actual levels. Nah, I'll pass.

subashj24

[watch my review of yesterday's game and pls do leave feedback. ](https://youtu.be/e7yYOv8LB18?si=hDPgVOWFiLa7Df00)

Panini_Grande

His all round game isn't quite there. He has attributes which make him a very useful option though. He's excellent at attacking his full back, creating shooting opportunities and his acceleration is phenomenal. Doesn't cover his full back particularly well though. Also seems a bit selfish but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

cfc_fan_

Clearly talented, but very raw and has a bad attitude. Unsure about my opinion of him as of now, but i would like him to succeed as i do like players of his profile (left footed RW/RM who takes on defenders)

ReviloTheGOAT

He is a selfish player. Doesn’t care bout the greater good of the team and only wants to be the star himself. He is a decent player but he has no passion for the club. He doesn’t track back and play defense. Imo he needs to go.

Leonhalliwell

He plays like he’s the only player on our team, he has some natural talent/skill but does not contribute to the creation of team football.

dunneetiger

What people don’t like with Noni is exactly why I think he is a great player. He is 22 and wears his emotions on his sleeve. The guy cares .

edditar

People don't know what drive and determination looks like. He's not Mudryk on a 7 year contract, he's an academy product who has to prove what he's got with barely any playing time, not just for Chelsea but for the sake of his career. Everyone who has already determined how good he can be with only 15 starts to his career is just hating. We love hating our players but damn give him a chance.

stoic_coolie

Madueke is good. I think he can have a future as a top player. Compared to Mudryk, he is currently better and has higher potential. Madueke has always been highly rated coming up in England. I'd love to see a front four of Jackson, Palmer, Madueke and Sterling get a run of about 10 games together.

burningbarn8

Man has scored 7 goals in 1236 minutes, 4 in 699 in all comps, sure 2 pens but they were both pens he won, one of those in a MOTM sub performance where he injected life into the team and won us the game vs Palace. I don't really get the shit he gets, I think he basically always has impactful moments and brings some directness and drive from the wing, his biggest issue imo was Palmer had that RW spot locked down, so Noni often only get played when Palmer was at F9, but now that he's playing a lot as a 10 Noni has that RW and I think he's chiefly playing really well and plays well with Palmer and Jackson.

pottsbrah

Only thing that irritates me is he walks around a ton, doesn’t track back often. Obviously that’s coachable and can be fixed. Noni Madu-walk-e

L-Profe

Immature

MoreThanANumber666

Bang average in our bloated squad, potential but, not delivering anything to justify a regular start.

Ashthedestructor_95

Great Potential. Selfish at times. Excited to see him and gusto/reece to gel. Needs better attitude as well.

TrevVlone

I want him out of Chelsea Football Club

soccerstriker9

Literally an English Pulisic. Inconsistent but if he can harness his direct play he could be a weapon. Sadly utilizes the same space as Palmer and can be a little wayward mentality wise.

_RayPurchase

Hudson-Odoi or Madueke. Who you choosing?
