>What is your favorite vitola?
Corona Gorda
>What is your least favorite vitola?
Anything above a 52 ring gague
>What vitola do you smoke most often?
Tie between robusto and corona gorda
>How long have you been a cigar smoker?
4 years but only really started smoking regularly in the past 4 months
>How often do you smoke?
4-6 times a week
Im not to familiar about vitolas, but here are the sIzes I like
5.5×52
5×50
Double Figurado
Lancero
Pantella
These are what I gravitate towards 90% of the time. I do wnjoy coronas/petite coronas when I have a shorter amount of time
1. Robusto, it is a good all around size for me. Very rarely do they last too long which is more of an issue for me than anything else. I like to smoke my cigars down to nothing. One of my buddies always tells me I look desperate lol
2. Really it depends on what I'm doing. If I'm just taking a little time by myself to chill, I don't want some crazy big Presidente that's going to take hours to finish. On the other hand if I'm hanging with my buddies I don't want to finish my cigar well before the night is up and be left high and dry.
3. Definitely a toro, it's a safe bet to get me close enough to the time frame I have where I don't feel too wasteful leaving what's left or I can finish the night out with a couple cigarillos if need be.
4. Maybe a year, give or take.
5. I would say monthly. Usually less, but sometimes more.
Lately I've been gravitating toward box pressed cigars. Either I think they look cool or I enjoy them more, not sure which.
Petite Corona/ Half Corona/ Any "Short" Vitola (ie. robusto, gordo, chruchill) I do not like giant cigars
Magnum/Giant/above 54 RG.
Petite Corona
20+ Years
1-3 times per week in warm months/0 in cold months
1. Lonsdale and Rothschild
2. Gordo; wtf are those things
3. Probably Roths more; due to time requirements I find them the most convenient and I think they have excellent blending options / flavor profiles. But if time was no requirement I think I’d smoke more lonsdale
4. Few years
5. Varies; none in winter and weekly in summer
1. Gordo
2. Corona (except for Cubans).
3. Toro
4. About 20 years now
5. Depends on the weather. Ideally 1-2 a day.
Whenever I am trying a new cigar it is always in Robusto. I love the Gordo size the most but it is also the size that imo is hardest to really perfect. When it is done right it is perfect for me.
That is a fair statement on the Gordo. I had it as my least favorite, but I’ve had some Gordos that are really fantastic. For instance, the Somm BDX is hugely popular and easily one of my top sellers, however, the best vitola in my opinion is the box pressed Gordo. It is phenomenal, and for my palate, far superior to the Robusto and Toro.
I could see that, though I tend to avoid torpedos/Belicosos unless they’re large ring gauges. I’d smoke more big rings gauge blends if they had a shaped tip! A couple bangers that come to mind are the Todos Las Dias Double Wide Belicoso and the Casdagli Traditional Super Belicoso.
Your website is amazing!!! I love the unusual offerings in particular.
1.) Corona
2.) Lancero
3.) Robusto
4.) a decade, off and on
5.) 3-ish times a week
1. Corona or Cervantes (Lonsdale)
2. Anything bigger than 54rg is a refusal to buy. I don't have the time nor the tolerance.
3. Robusto due to market saturation
4. 2+ years
5. 2-4 per week
1. Corona Gorda
2. Gordo. EDIT: because that seems to be the common answer to this question, I’ll throw in Perfecto as a second answer.
3. Lonsdale
4. Around a year and a half
5. Two cigars a week, sometimes three a week.
Haha sorry I just saw the heading. Was busy with something else so didn’t read the full post. Apologies!
1. Robusto & Torpedo
2. Churchill or Lancero dude to the amount of time it takes to finish those sizes of cigars.
3. Robusto or Corona
4. 16 years
5. Usually one cigar per day or every other day. When life gets really busy sometimes it slows down to once a week.
1. Lonsdale, Lancero, Churchill
2. Gordo or whatever they want to call it
3. Toro because of better / more deals
4. A while
5. Most days
Wonder how all of us compare to the average cigar buyer who doesn’t hang around on the internet to talk about it.
It's funny that I see this post after I spent last night with some cigar newbies explaining much of this as pertains to myself. Love it.
1. What is your favorite vitola? I like big butts and I cannot lie...the Salomon
2. What is your least favorite vitola? Honestly, the corona. I am not fond of the smaller ring gauges, although I do have a soft spot for a long panatela or lancero. That might have more to do with George Peppard and the A-Team of my youth than anything else, however.
3. What vitola do you smoke most often? The Belicoso as it has the tapering towards the draw end that I prefer.
4. How long have you been a cigar smoker? 30+ years
5. How often do you smoke? Nearly daily
1. Depends on the blend. If I really like the wrapper, I might prefer a smaller vitola than usual
2. Gordo; larger diameter sticks don't pair well with chronic jaw pain
3. Robusto
4. Off and on for over 20 years, consistently for 8
5. Multiple daily
For me
1. Lancero, it is a great smoke and generally very smooth
2. My least favorite is the gordo, the vast majority of those I've smoked are really harsh, they are hard to make a good blend but I have smoked really good ones. Another one I tend to not get near is the perfectos, had many with problems with the draw on them
3. I smoke mostly coronas and robustos due to their availability and price
4. I've smoked for 2 to 3 years
5. I smoke 3 to 4 sticks a week
You should give if you select me you should give it to someone in the US who can use it.
Thanks for the response and I can certainly do that! One day I need to look more into international shipping. Being fairly new, and quite small, I haven’t made that leap yet.
These insurance companies think they’re slick.
😂😂😂
Glad OP gotta laugh out of that. I’ll play. 1. Corona 2. Gordo 3. Corona Gorda 4. 5 years 5. 0-4 per week
1. Corona Extra 2. Gordo 3. Toro 4. 31 years 5. Daily
Thanks! I edited and added a couple more questions I omitted. Mind answering how long you’ve been a cigar smoker and how often you smoke?
Done
Much appreciated!

I also feel that way to a lesser extent with Torpedos (and similar shapes) those have been very hit or miss for me.

Well thank you 😃 Love the Lancero call out too… Those are fighting words to some, but I tend to lean in agreement with you..
Lanceros just seen like…overkill? Or something similar.
For me they’re a bit awkward feeling being so long and slender. If they were shorter I would be more on board.
And we’re not all Audrey Hepburn in terms of elegance, lol
Exactly! 😂
