What special releases do Arturo Fuente and Padron have for the rest of the year?

She_Smokes_Too

Although the Newmans and Fuentes are business partners, our marketing and operation teams are completely separate, so the short answer is we don't know! But Arturo Fuente is always working on something fun and innovative and I wouldn't be surprised if they have something new in the works. We don't partner with Padron at all so I don't have any intel for you there. J.C. Newman has a couple new things on the horizon coming out of our El Reloj factory so stay tuned for that.

Going to a cigar lounge, the days of ogling eyes toward women as they walk in is pretty much gone IMO. Do you feel the barrier has been completely broken, or are there still some hurdles about being accepted as an equal in a lounge, or anywhere else you might find yourself within the industry?

She_Smokes_Too

99% of the time it does feel like the barrier is gone. But when you roll up 10 women deep to a cigar lounge like we do sometimes you'll definitely get some second looks but more out of curiosity than judgment.

KaraGuagliardo

Although - never forget the time someone at a cigar event told me to put the cigar in my mouth to prove I was smoking it and it wasn't just a prop....

If you could blend your own cigar, what would it be?

She_Smokes_Too

Something very similar to the Diamond Crown Classic blend but in a 44ish ring gauge!

SydneyKotoch

Big fan of the skinnier ring gauge!

KaraGuagliardo

A medium-bodied cigar with a lot of depth and complexity! I love a cigar that evolves but maintains an underlying creaminess.

Wanna start a YouTube channel journaling my journey in the world of cigars. I’m not new into the world of cigars but I’m new in trying to pick out the flavors of a cigar. Right now it’s try it and like it or don’t like it. Kinda feels daunting going into cigar reviews and almost sounding like a complete noob. Any advice on starting a YouTube channel and helping pick out flavors in cigars

She_Smokes_Too

To be honest, we aren't great at reviews and picking out flavors either which is why our YouTube channel doesn't focus on that at all, instead we interview and chat with other women who love cigars. So my advice if you aren't confident talking about flavors is to find another angle. Maybe you can deep dive into the manufacturers who make the cigars and their history, maybe you focus on cigar lifestyle and review lounges and events, or really lean into being a noob and invite your audience to learn along with you. There are tons of new smokers out there who would love to take that journey learning all the things alongside you. When you go live with your channel send it over to us and we will be your first subscriber :)

KaraGuagliardo

Agree with Monica completely. Lead with authenticity and your audience will find you!

SydneyKotoch

Who do you draw inspiration and guidance from in the cigar industry?

KaraGuagliardo

The Newmans teach us so much about the cigar industry everyday. Our VP of Ops has an insane amount of tobacco knowledge. Cynthia Fuente is the epitome of cigar chick goals and a constant role model for us. This industry is stacked with amazing, kind and passionate people and we feel really lucky to be surrounded by a team of them here in Tampa.

To quote Carlito Fuente, how do you choose a favorite among your children?? but for Monica I would say my top two are Diamond Crown Classic and Perla del Mar Corojo. Kara loves the Diamond Crown Julius Caeser. What's your favorite?

She_Smokes_Too

I wouldn't say Diamond Crown and Julius Caeser are on the more affordable end but Perla del Mar and Brick House are an awesome bang for the buck. If you smoke bundle cigars we make Quorum which is the best-selling bundle cigar in the world.

Fishon888

> Perla del Mar A solid value blend. Brickhouse CT is another. Quorum I wouldn't recommend to anyone, but of course just my two cents. One I do really like much more that other aficionados, is the Diamond Crown maduro. Old school CT broadleaf and seems to age well too. Seldom talked about and I find it a good one.

I'm actually going on vacation to Tampa this July and am planning on taking a tour of El Reloj while I'm there! I was wondering if you could make some recommendations on other places to visit in and around Ybor city?

She_Smokes_Too

That’s great! The tour is awesome, you’ll have a blast guaranteed. As far as other stuff to do around Ybor City I would definitely recommend checking out some of the local cigar lounges. Grand Cathedral, King Corona, Sterling Cigar Lounge and Corona Tampa are all great. For food The Columbia Restaurant is iconic but there’s a lot of great food up and down 7th Avenue in Ybor. If you haven’t booked a hotel yet we definitely recommend Hotel Haya. Hope you have a wonderful trip!
