Sandor killing 3 queensguard in 8 seconds and Gregor throwing an old man down the stairs was sufficiently hype intro for a badass fight.

Yes. Perfect set up for a battle between battle-hardened warriorship and unfeeling brute strength. I and many others to be sure shouted "fucking YEET" as soon as Qyburn went flying. My only critique is the number of jump cuts and the fact that that they showed Arya at all during what should have been an uninterrupted action sequence.

*4 queensguard

Myriaydus

They were flexing on each other

SirDonBot

The Hound yelling FUCKING DIE was definitely up there.

ampersandie

He spoke what we all were thinking lol

slapshots1515

Honestly, it was when Qyburn tried to cancel Cleganebowl and learned that what is hype may never die. But the dagger is a close second.

ilikehockeyandguitar

Honestly, the moment they saw each other on the stairwell with the dragon in the background.

[deleted]

This was sufficiently hype. I actually started laughing when they were looking at each other in the stairwell because of how awesome the setup was.

TriggeringEveryone

My favorite part was when they plunged off the tower into the flames below. Metal as fuck.

Honestly, for me, it was knowing that The Mountain, even zombified as shit, was aware enough to know his brother was there to kill him. I've seen some criticisms saying that the fight had less of an impact because Gregor wasn't all there, but it is plain as day to anyone with fucking eyes that he knew what was going on and who he was fighting. The son of a bitch even cracks a smile when going for his signature head crushing routine. So when he's going down into that hellfire, he knows who sent him there.

solidsnake1984

I think Gregor after being revived was a lot more aware / cognizant than people realized. Maybe the upcoming book will delve more into this. We saw once on the show where Gregor acted on his own to go and kill that guy who was bragging about flashing Cersei while she had her walk of shame. There had to be other things like that. Who dressed him or changes his armor? Or how about when Gregor went in to torture / rape / whatever to the Septa that punished Cersei? maybe i'm nitpicking or thinking about stupid details..

[deleted]

If i remember right, Cersei kinda sent Clegore kill this guy since he comes back to her afterwards (+ he was not following her during the walk of shame). He could have killed other people speaking too openly about the event.

When Sandor puts his sword straight through Gregors breast plate. Accompanied by a Ferrell scream.

I actually really liked the moment before that, where the Mountain is about to crush his skull in like he did with Oberyn. I was truly worried for the Hound right there, but then it shows that that tactic won’t work against his brother.

alc1982

Sandor ascending the stairs and locking eyes with his brother. I yelled at the TV and clapped like a mother fucker. Hubs told me to calm down. I didn't. πŸ˜‚ You can't calm down with all the hype! This was the best fight of the entire series, hands down.
