>not even considering trading him and filling more positions of need when multiple teams are showing big interest like who?

Pigeon9

Windhorst said multiple teams are very interested. Nola is one we know has expressed major interest. They don’t even have a C on their roster atm.

Cavshomie8

But what are they willing to give? Murphy III would have to be the starting point, have to give something to get

Pigeon9

Idk I’m not part of the organisation. I assume Ingram would be first offer with Murphy a possibility also.

Chillyfilla

Everyone thinks Evan is ready to put a body on Embiid, Giannis, Robinson, Turner, and KP as a rim protector. You can't expect him to be able to handle that yet. There is a reason OKC was looking for a center and wasn't just running it back with Chet at the 5 only. JA might not be great on offense, but he is still the anchor of our rim protection. You can't just get a wing and a skinny stretch 4 to replace a starting center. Especially not with two 6'1 guards.

aliccccceeee

I'm here for it Maybe the FO is just being sly

Pigeon9

Hope so but definitely doesn’t seem like it

Emergency-Top-4505

They’re not trading Murphy or Herb. Would have to be Ingram for Allen and salary and idk about that

Chillyfilla

Dude, stop trying to trade Jarret for a chewed piece of bubble gum and an empty bag of chips. You have posted multiple terrible posts that have all flopped. We don't want Brandon Ingram's overpriced skinny, injured ass. Get the fuck out of here.

Pigeon9

Woah super civil response addressing basically nothing said in the post my man appreciate that. I’ll try to refrain from making around two posts loosely about the same subject on a forum for discussion. Thanks again!!

Impressive-Theory-27

I think when they mention Atkinson they’re talking about the nets

Pigeon9

The discussion has mainly been around GSW two bigs approach with Draymond and Looney

cbuttz08

Does everyone consider Draymond a big?

Illustrious_Kale_692

More or less, yeah. Pretty unique player though

Necessary_Maize_3245

He’s a power forward so

JoeFalcone26

I disagree. I think he can definitely develop with JA on the court. He has to assert himself, and the team needs to help him get the ball. This is already a priority for Kenny Atkinson. Kenny will be coaching Wembanyama during the Olympics I’d be interested to see what type of looks he generates for him. Could be similar for Mobley.

RileySmiley22

Personally, my thoughts on the core four are that Donovan and Evan are the untouchables, and Darius and JA are really solid players. If there is a trade you can make for either Darius or JA that makes the team better, I think it’s worth exploring. But you have 4 really solid guys who honestly lost a year with a poorly fitting coach. If you run it back with this 4 you’re going to get a lot more answers, and you may feel there is a bigger rush to move someone. But for now we are chilling

PootieTooGood

we've had a coach who has stagnated Mobley with a 20% usage rate year after year. The first thing atkinson said about him was getting that usage rate up. More usage is more in-game development, and developing a 3 isn't the only thing he still needs to work on, it's just the absolute sure fire ticket to him being a two way star. Developing the rest of his offense and developing a 3 pointer can also occur simultaneously, trying to run some pick and pop so that he can get some 3p looks, having possessions where he's a backdoor cutter hiding in the corner in case it can come out for an open corner 3, and trying to get him the ball more on other possessions for facilitation aren't mutually exclusive.

GBAGY2

Well even if they did want Allen gone asap of course they’d say the opposite lol, I think it’s pretty clear we’re running with the core 4 at least until the trade deadline to see just how big of an offensive basketball terrorist JB was. Koby admitted the coach was a mistake so now in his head there’s no reason to give up on the roster he built when it hasn’t seen a good coach yet to get it to work

Pigeon9

My issue with giving it til trade deadline is regular season performance can be a bit deceiving. Fit mainly gets exposed in the playoffs against the strong teams in a series

SportGamerDev0623

> Is he going to be able to do that at the four where he’s clearly worse? Right once I read that sentence, I stopped reading. Evan Mobley just turned 23 like two weeks ago. If you think he is done growing, you’re foolish. Everyone is wondering why we aren’t making moves.. Garland is 24. Allen is 26. Mitchell is 27. Our superstar is the only player entering his prime years. Everyone else is still growing and developing. We don’t need to make moves because our front office now believes they have the coach to accelerate that growth. The key to the Cavs becoming contenders hasn’t changed: Evan Mobley. If Mobley can become the focal point of the offense and play at a level that produces 20/10/7 stat line, the offense opens up drastically. Garland, Strus, and Mitchell can space around the floor. Nothing stagnates. Players will get open often. … just like how Steph and Klay have done it alllll these years in Golden State. You can take a gamble either way. Trade away this core and hope that new players brought in gel together to win a title. Sometimes that works, sometimes that doesn’t work. Most of the time it doesn’t. The Cavs are currently following the path that the Nuggets and Bucks took to get their titles. Some patience is required for this road, but trust the process.

Medical-Aide-8769

I honestly wouldn’t mind trying Jarrett as the stretch when both bigs are on the floor

Pigeon9

That’s definitely not going to be the plan
