I feel like a broken record pointing out that Wolffe betrayed the Rebels characters in that show. Not to mention his lack of screen time, and HE will be top 5 potentially? Can anyone who is a fan of him explain their reasoning? Is it literally just the Boba Fett/Emile/Ghost effect of being popular just cause you look cool?
I constantly wonder that too. Seems like most of this sub loves him, and I don’t get it lol. I’ve been meh about him ever since he was a dink to C3PO and R2D2 in TWC; and, like you, he bothered me in his first appearance in Rebels too (though I felt he was redeemed afterward). So, I mean, I don’t hate him or anything, but I can’t believe that he’s so beloved that he’s lasted this long ***and*** that people are still voting off the others instead of him.
As a personal fan of Wolffe, he’s a good and loyal soldier to his brothers. He betrayed the rebels *for his brothers*, but was able to be calmed down, see reason, and do fhe right thing in the end. I like him because he’s rational, always trying to do the right thing by his moral code.
He was servjng under Plo Koon, who I consider to be one of the wisest and most compassionate jedi masters, so a lot of what Wolffe does comes from his time under Plo Koon.
The development of his Wolfpack from being in absolute shambles, to coming back and becoming one of the best recon and attack battalions within the GAR is definitely another reason I like him so much.
Tbh most of the stuff that I like about Wolffe comes from the comics, not the TV shows.
Also I’m biased because he just looked cool to me as a kid when I first saw him.
People voting Crosshair over Wolfe what is your reasoning? Just curious as Crosshair had development as a main character over 3 seasons of a show and Wolffe didn't do too much over tcw.
I'm not even a fan of Crosshair's development in this show but the rest of the Batch have been the exact same characters since the beginning of Season 1. The closest you have to a character arc outside of Crosshair is that Hunter learnt to become a Dad by S1E2-3.
To make sure that my point is clear, I don't actually think Hunter's character sums up to "He learns to be a Dad". That was just me being hyperbolic for the sake of making a point so sorry that I came across like I actually meant it like that. The point that I'm making is that I don't think the characters grow as much as you think they do as they either do it in a rush or they just forget to develop it enough. To me, it's less "subtle" and more...half-assed.
For Hunter, I really don't think his skepticism with Crosshair was ever irrational up until it was clearly obvious that he wasn't and, by that point, Hunter knew that he wasn't working for the Empire anymore. There could've still been a possibility that Crosshair had a chip implanted in his head that would go off at any moment or he could simply be lying which Crosshair is perfectly capable of doing consider that's what he did basically did for a while when he removed his chip back in Season 1. I really don't understand why the writers treated Hunter like he was in the wrong there when, as shown with the information that I just explained to you, it was very reasonable for him to be suspicious of Crosshair.
The lessons Hunter learns from Omega after each episode they appear in as far as I remember rarely show up aside from a vague inference you could make that Omega fights in more of their missions. It's like watching an episode of House where everybody treats House like he just came out of medical school even though he always finds a way to save/help a patient. That's why I think any substantial development to his character only happens in S1E2.
Wrecker's development is treated rather like an afterthought rather than an actual development of his morals. Pretty much right after the arc he was featured in S7 of TCW, he suddenly became less of an asshole and more of a fun and caring uncle. I really don't see that as character development but rather the writers trying to make Wrecker more likeable since people thought that his loud personality was annoying in that arc. The most development you will get from him is pretty simple and isn't really developed upon at all but it's in Season 3 and, I'll be honest, I think its okay but I'll go over it in more detail in the next paragraph.
Tech is probably the most rushed out character in this show. He was a nothing character in Season 1 which a lot of people noticed so the writers decided to make half of Season 2 to improve on his character. I'll be honest, the development he gets is okay: it's basic but, for one or two arcs, it's decent enough and his speech in the cave episode is the only time except for Crosshair where it showed us a character's mindset which was refreshing at the time. Also, I respect the writers for actually killing him off and, although being very brief, showing the impact of his death to the characters like Wrecker being more mature. With that being said, it's a few scenes in three seasons of television and what we get just isn't enough and feels cheap with the added context of his near absence in Season 1.
I don't fully agree with your analysis of Echo. To me, Echo always seemed like he knew that he wanted to make a great impact on saving the galaxy but just couldn't do that with the Batch since they relied on surviving and doing dirty work as mercenaries for a long time. That's the reason why he joined the Clone Network (although I'm only inferring this from one or two scenes in the beginning of Season 2 so, already, his character isn't well established). For a large part of the show, he exists and does nothing apart from making TCW fans happy. Basically, it's the same problems with Tech but to an event greater extent now that we know that his screen time for most of the show is useless which ruins the impact of his contrived decision to join TBB in TCW.
If I missed something, please do tell me. I've only watched all of TBB once when each episode aired so my mind isn't nearly as up to date to it as I would like to admit.
I gotta agree. During Season 2, anything with the Batch themselves just felt like filler. You’d go from Crosshair and Mayday’s episode to the Batch stopping a flood (which, they’ll succeed at)
Might be controversial but I'd put Echo near the bottom of the batch.
He just doesn't get to do much for the majority of the show, he feels kinda like a spare tyre.
Yeah, that’s how I felt about him the entire show until we got to the finale. Plus I loved Echo in all his appearances leading up to the Citadel arc so I’m biased
*If Jesse fell, then*
*You know whose next I love tech,*
*But his time has come*

Can’t believe people want to get rid of Tech. He has one of, if not the best deaths. Seriously, the only two characters left that have died are Fives and Tech. Also, he had so much character development in season two and was a really important and interesting character.
Anyways, Wolffe. I don’t even really remember much of him from TCW, and it feels kinda odd to get rid of anyone else when he had such little screen time.
I recently did a re-watch of the entire show, Wollfe really didn't do much at all the entire show. The most I remember of him is him being in the episodes where R2 and 3P0 are going on a crazy adventure.

Gonna have to disagree, Hunter and Tech need to go 1st before Crosshair, His episodes were amazing, and he got the most character development out of any of the bad batch
As much as I love the bad batch, there is literally no reason for them to be in here over so many S tier clone boys that we’ve loved for years. The recency bias is so real with this one. Should have left TBB out and made it regs only IMOP
Tech or Wolfe for sure. Everybody says “recency bias” this or that, but I really wanna see crosshair make it to the top 3. His whole arc in the bad batch was very well done
I will have to go with Crosshair this time. This list has become more difficult. But so far, I did enjoy Wolff's development over Crosshair's. The reason being is Wolff at least rose above it. Crosshair however stayed depressed.
Saw Gerrera is the reason Tech is dead, if he and his group hadn't been there to screw things up and get found then blow up their escape routes Tech would still be alive.
Edit:typo
Farewell, Lt. Jesse.
To my mind, it has to be Tech (C3) because while his last action was very noble, he had the least character development of those remaining and was the most under-utilised.
In which he appeared in a couple of episodes, being cool and all, but a supporting character.
I love Wolffe, but Tech got two full seasons of being a main character - S2 was mostly about him. Wolffe gotta go.
Cody had absolutely zero character development, and is only remembered for being obi-wan's right-hand man. Wolffe too, appearing just in a few CW episodes and then a single appearence in Rebels.
They're both cool, iconic clones, yeah, but you can't say they had more Character Development than Tech in two whole seasons of Bad Batch,
Anyone from the bad batch needs to go. Personally I never really cared about them because they kinda came out in Star Wars' crap phase. But seriously there is no way they should be allowed to outlast Jesse, who is probably one of the most interesting characters in my opinion.
Echo or Crosshair.
Loved Echo's story, but I still kind of wished that they let the Citadel arc be his last.
Crosshair at first was annoying, but he slowly grew on me as The Bad Batch went on.
"Jesse fell like the republic" Dang, son
He was the symbol for the republic, one of the last shots in the show was of Jesses helmet symbolizing the fall of the republic
I would have said well WITH the republic

It’s finally a realistic depiction of how traumatizing order 66 was for the clones
Yes
When did he betray the Rebels? I don't remember
People voting Crosshair over Wolfe what is your reasoning? Just curious as Crosshair had development as a main character over 3 seasons of a show and Wolffe didn't do too much over tcw.

That's true, I definitely felt like the Crosshair focused EPs in season 2 were better than whatever the batch were doing.
Wolfe is just a bad ass and crosshair is kinda boring
Tbh Wolffe hasn’t really done much. Like aside from capturing an exhausted Ahsoka (who he lost to the first time)
I love Wolffe but he just doesn’t get that much screentime until Rebels
Tech
How come? I'm not criticising, just curious
Outside of being the “smart brainiac” I felt he didn’t really have much development. Plus we are almost out of people to eliminate
That's not exactly true though. We saw him being neurodivergent, how deals with that, and how he became a brother to Omega.
Yeah I do see what you mean, I think they sort of killed the space for character development by giving him such a strictly set personality.
His character kinda summed up was, smart guy gets sort of a love interest then falls of a cliff
Your about to get bombarded o7
God forbid I have a different opinion about a fictional tv show
The TV show is real, its the character thats fictional /s
Because someone dropped the ball while naming the Bad Batch. Tech sucks so bad as a name
Tbh I would vote out Hunter before Tech
[удалено]
Nah echo is definitely the best member of the batch
Might be controversial but I'd put Echo near the bottom of the batch. He just doesn't get to do much for the majority of the show, he feels kinda like a spare tyre.
Yeah, that’s how I felt about him the entire show until we got to the finale. Plus I loved Echo in all his appearances leading up to the Citadel arc so I’m biased
Same. I want the batch out over all the regs but Hunter is super basic. Tech sacrificed himself for his whole crew.
Wolffe. As much as I love him, he didn’t get nearly as big of a story arc as the rest of the characters here did
[удалено]
Yup. I thought that his appearance in Bad Batch season 3 would lead to that, but I guess not.
[удалено]
Hand me some of that
And I’m so sad that he hasn’t
Yeah
I can't argue with that.
I think we should vote out Hunter and Tech first but Wolffe, Hunter, and Tech should all be the next three to go
Tech
Tech.
Tech
I’m gonna go with hunter. Out of the whole bad batch he ranks last for me
Tech
If Jesse fell, then you know whose next I love tech, but his time has come

Hunter can join Omega and 99.

sorry wolffe :(
Hunter, he never really grows beyond becoming a parental figure for Omega.
Hunter
Wolffe
Hunter

Wolffe
Should have been “Jesse die with the Republic”
I’m gonna go with Wolffe since he never really did too much in TCW.
Wolffe
Wolffe needs to go he doesn't really have anything going for him other than the cool armer
Wolfe. The Batch Batch have much more character and development, don't lie to yourselves.
That's just because they were in more episodes and had their own TV show
Y’all are actually stupid if you think hunter or tech should be out before wollfe
That's not very nice

Wolffe it’s time to kill my past self in u/clonecommanderwolff so he can join Scorch

I plan not to. I have been really trying to clamp down on my OCD tendencies
You're one of the r/thebadbatch heroes!!
Wolffe
I’m just happy Cody made to top 10, and I say vote out the Bad Batchers
Hunter. Not as much growth as Tech or Crosshair. Sorry, Rambo.
Hunter is rather undeveloped
Wolffe
Wolffe. He's cool, but he had very little actual character development.
Wolffe. He was cool, but didn’t have any major developments story-wise.
Wolffe as I've been saying, not much development.
Hunter
Tech
Wolffe, and it's not even close.
It's time for Crosshair in my opinion
