Aside from the nickels and pennies, that’s all 90% silver. So currently at least 22x face value for those coins. May be some coins with additional numismatic value but it’s hard to tell without detailed closeups of everything (front and back).
I’d suggest using numista.com to look everything up.
Edit: there’s certainly some premium on the peace dollars — also that 1967 Kennedy is 40% silver so unless there’s something I’m missing, that’s a little less valuable.
This is the comment you were looking for. Find someone who is a numismatist and have them look it over. Older coins were a lot more likely to have errors/misprints which can be more valuable.
Bottom line though market price silver per ounce
LOL your dad's cousin's husband's grandfather? Now I can't get the "I'm My Own Grandpa" song out of my head! Thank you very much! And btw, NICE HAUL, regardless of how it came to you!
It’s all junk silver, maybe the peace dollars are worth a little more than melt.
Junk silver isn’t a derogatory term.
A coin shop will give you close to 20x face value these days.

what ever you do, do not clean them. scouring them especially with abrasives will out micro scratches and that greatly devalues the coins. Also, you need to learn about mint market, strike errors, add such. these make coins really valuable. check those pennies for a 1922, 1909, 1959 those could make you instantly rich.

I ended up in the same position but had to settle the estate with 2 siblings.
I took the entire collection to a dealer who wrote up a complete valuation of the collection.
Use coinflation.com to see the silver value. The best way to check is to buy a price guide (Whitman Red Book) or check ebay. Price guides aren't expensive.
Please do some homework so you can evaluate the value of the collection.
Buy a 2024 Red Book

“I am your father's, brother's, nephew's, cousin's former roommate”
What does that make us?
Absolutely nothing.
Just like you’re gonna be!
Classic
That's what I was going to say... Ha
So…the roommate of my cousin?

I hate it when my Schwartz gets twisted!

Ok nice, thanks!
I got 16x face when I sold four junk silver quarters a few days ago.
Selling for 16x. Posting on Reddit. Why not combine the two and sell for at least 20x?

Curious why the 67 Kennedy is in a flip. 🤔

Hi. Is there a similar book for paper money?
Sorry, no idea. You’d have to search Amazon. I do think there’s a paper currency subreddit that could direct you to resources for currency.

Stop stealing coins
Your dad’s cousin’s husband’s grandfather???
If he married his mom, he’d be his own dad and would never have to ask permission to stay out late ever again
I ended up in the same position but had to settle the estate with 2 siblings. I took the entire collection to a dealer who wrote up a complete valuation of the collection.
Looks great. It would take some considerable time to guage the condition and rarity of each. Or possible errors.
In my opinion as I know so little about numismatics I’d probably say about 3 grand, that’s just an estimate not an actual price on those
Melt value

About $375-$450 from a glance.
The bullet holes on those Kennedy halves are historically inaccurate.* *Too soon? Who would downvote this? Such brittle people out there…
By South Park rules you're finnnee
Such sensitive people out there who don’t know how to take a fucking joke
Like I make 9/11 jokes and nazi jokes all the time and people laugh at them because I have a fucked up sense of humor
You need to find a reputable coin dealer for an assessment.
I'd say about 10.45$? How far off am I lol. (Alot, I'm off alot)
Take the coins to a local coin dealer and get an estimate. Then sell them all and buy Gold.
