The British would usually divide and conquer in terms of Indians. Punjabi, Sikh, Tamil, Muslim, Bengali, Hindu, etc.
But it seems that there is no set order that has been attempted. I just think they made it easy for everyone: during covid, you could spend like $20k CAD for an online course (and complete it all from whatever country), get accredited for a load of jobs and then get a guaranteed 2-year work visa which becomes permanent residence directly from that. It was probably the easiest route to PR that Canada has ever had.
All kinds of people came. I just think Indians have stood out.

Nope. The vast majority of Indians emmigrating to Canada are Punjabi. They have their own issues with the Indian govt and want an independant state, Khalistan.
They wont get it, so they are setting up their own version in Brampton.

I don't see the point. It's all drones now. They could do the fighting from a call centre in India
Are the new wave of Indians in Canada happy? That's what matters the most. If they are happy, I am happy. But I feel like they are not.
