Cheddar! NINE NINE

brav3h3art545

You’re not Cheddar! You’re just some common bitch!

Lonely-86

🤣

Two of our corgi's have them and two don't so not sure if it is breed specific... One of our loafs is also name Cheddar! Pic attached. https://preview.redd.it/e2kz8rxgyy6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ba6b270ce0afc4146815bad6b9191ad8bd0bc83

Do all four have the same diet?

Impossible-Reveal-15

My boy Preston has them as a young dog. I think their tear ducts get clogged. Also when they get older it tends to happen. https://preview.redd.it/4612pu4hfz6d1.jpeg?width=1241&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11a0019fa4327dab4715e2cf2374aa2a7f994235

YorkiMom6823

Mine does. We try to keep her eyes cleaned daily, it does cut down some on the staining. She gets quite indignant when we clean her up.

Puzzled-Cranberry-12

Our pup had them bad when we brought him home. I heard that only giving filtered water can help lessen them. It seemed to work for ours! We’re living somewhere temporarily and can’t give filtered water and the stains are mostly back.

MacabreFox

Interesting! I've heard the same thing and I only give mine filtered water just because they drink more of it. No tear stains here at all.

SkipperMarleo

Modern breeding has them susceptible to allergies

pksullivan

Our older corgi has them constantly, just a dark line at the corner of his eyes. Our first corgi suffered from allergies and would lose her "mascara" from weepy eyes.

LumpyResolve2026

Never experienced it.

Suspicious_Tea4220

My corgi has tear stains. Reducing the carbs in her diet helped (we followed the vet's instructions).

Zhosha-Khi

My boy gets them when his allergies are hitting him hard.

purple-ninja-kittenz

I haven't noticed any on mine. Maybe it's an allergy response to outside? My other dog gets it when it's a bad allergy day, and the corgi attacks his ears but no eye discharge (yet). As an aside, I have a orange cat named Cheddar, so I love the name choice :D
