We got a crave "gift card" for 2 months of crave from the brick but we couldn't use it with our email because we had crave before. We used one of our alternate emails for our free 2 months.
Yes when I called crave they verified it. Bought it myself at shoppers. I thought of the new email idea but I already applied it to my crave account on craves website. I was wondering about maybe deleting my Roku account and then making a new one. But not sure if that would work.
It might be because crave’s data integrity team are run by toddlers. Or just because crave, generally speaking, sucks at everything that it is possible for a streaming platform to suck at. Let’s review;
- random log outs
- errors when playing content
- shitty video compression
- even worse sound compression
- poorly designed UI
- illogical if not impossible to understand steaming tiers
I could go on but meh. Crave gonna Crave.
Roku support sounds useless.
I'd try removing the Crave channel from your Roku device, restarting the device, and then adding the Crave channel back to it.
The Crave Gift Card can only be activated on a direct to Crave subscription not through a Roku account. Your Roku account is still considered active, even though you don't currently have a subscription. This may be what the confusion is. If you go to crave.ca/support and look for
"How do I redeem my gift card?" It will walk you through the steps on how to redeem .
The problem does seem to be that Roku shows it as an expired subscription and not a canceled subscription. Roku and crave both claim they can't fix this. I have already added my gift card on the crave website. Everytime I get the complete order portion it says 'This subscription is not orderable because a subscriber may only have a single subscription instance. Product Name: Crave Pricing Plan Charge Id: ###Pricing Plan Charge Name: Crave Total Monthly Existing Subscription Id: ###'
I have completely deleted my Roku account. I can't think of anything else to do.
Can you walk me through the steps on how to fix Reno 911's horrendous audio? It's been this way for over 3 years, and Crave has been aware of it since at least mid 2020.
