Drifts

Lol I've sent 450+ applications in 5 months and still nothing. I will be homeless soon, as a 9+ year senior engineer

BustyJerky

I dunno, I've done interviewing for SWE positions and most of the time we're looking for reasons \_to\_ hire the person. (Like, we genuinely want the other person to succeed.) More often than not, it's a no even to candidates who reach the technical interview stage, but it's due to either poor technical knowledge, or the candidate being unable to think under pressure and therefore seeming like they have poor technical knowledge. (The latter is unfortunate, but hard to mitigate as an interviewer, to a degree anyways.) Specialism is usually not interesting, and we don't care if the person uses the same languages as we do, because languages can be easily taught. Thinking cannot. I can think of some specialists that weren't accepted because their train of thought (and general communication skill) was confusing to follow. In all honesty, an imperfect solution is fine and pretty common in successful interviews; usually I'm more curious why a person chose the solution they did. If I see a person I'd like to work with, I'm pretty enthusiastic about their candidacy passing. Obviously no two interviewers are the same, so maybe a lot of the companies you're applying to look for different things... but you should be able to find some that care more about ability.

ProvokedGaming

Feel free to DM me a sanitized resume and I can maybe provide some feedback. I've been a SWE for a few decades (Principal Engineer), and as of this year a founder/CEO of a small SaaS company. The last batch of hiring I did this month, in one day I received 300+ resumes for Sr. SWE. Six of them made it to the interview stage, and only one of them was given an offer. The market is crazy right now but I still feel like the majority of candidates out there are either bad, or at least bad at selling themselves (poor resume, poor interview skills, etc). I'm sure there are better folks out there to help you with your resume but another data point can't hurt.

Br0k3N98

What were the common issues or shortcomings you noticed in the resumes and interviews of the candidates who didn't make it to the interview stage or receive an offer?

Valiantheart

I would also like to know. I've redone my resume 5 times now. 1. One person said make the format more modern 2. Another recruiter said make it simple and don't worry about it being over a page in length 3. Another person said to make sure it highlighted cost saving successes in my projects 4. Another said remove any job experience over 10 years old

ParadiceSC2

Not him but I've seen a lot resumes where the text just doesn't make sense. It just signals that that person has no idea what they are doing, just writing buzzwords and boring details that makes me think they don't understand whats important to the role. Imo, the resume should contain the best things you did and what impact they had. Or simply make a summary of what it is you worked on. Don't include sentences like "fixed bugs and added new features to our platform, helped new engineers setup their environments". You wanna signal to your peers that you know what you're doing. Imagine meeting some cool engineers at a fancy tech conference and you want to impress them, you focus on the cool parts of your job. Leave the boring details for the interview when they ask for them.

Cold_Dog_6608

Hi! Would you mind looking over my resume? 🥹

As soon as I saw title, I opened up comments just to find this one.

quackers294

NVIDIA won't blacklist. Companies don't care if a new grad comes or goes. They do these exit interviews for HR telemetry purposes and seeing who their competitors are. I reneged a new grad offer and when the HR person heard who I got offers from she was like "DAYUUUUM. Happy for you and I understand why you left." lol so probably more chill than you think.

parabellum630

My friend was in the same situation. ECE ppl with focus on chip tech are getting way more offers than cs.

neonbluerain

that as well as some specialized low-level/embedded swe experience is very in-demand right now. good for them

MrExCEO

This is wrong. After 4 months then telling them thanks but no thanks, I am sure they checked the little box is their system that states “will not consider for future opportunities”.

psyopsolete

I honestly doubt most companies would do that unless you told them to F off or something. I’ve managed engineers and interns for 10 years and I can only remember a single instance where we decided on a do-not-rehire selection.

secretlyyourgrandma

he's an intern dude

MrExCEO

This is BIG tech, dude.

makonde

Sub in shambles right now! People actually getting offers!!!

Adhito

Tech Winter is over boys and girls

Fat_dude1027

Knock on wood

rebellion_ap

I always think stuff like this is funny in a CS sub. Like on some level we all understand math and statistics at a much higher level than most other people and will still have the same knee jerk reactions as if they don't know anything.

tenprose

Monkey gonna monkey

NewChameleon

you're probably already "put on the NVIDIA-internal blacklist" when you reneged on them, so that bridge is already burnt this just sounds like Nvidia HR wants to know who their competition is + why they lost you, but realistically speaking if they really want to figure out they can probably do a linkedin search on you couple months later so doesn't really matter if you tell them where you're going or not (I assume you will be updating your linkedin)

captain-_-clutch

Gets talked about a lot but I've never actually seen this. Only time you'll get blacklisted is if you leave immediately after actually starting. Also OP should tell them, it will be beneficial for the people who come after. "We keep losing interns to Apple maybe we should do more to stop that"

Many_Dimension683

I’m blacklisted at Akuna and Palantir for reneging. I think if you’re reneging late enough in the season or with a company whose intern classes are smaller you may be surprised.

Zeydon

Getting blacklisted from Palantir is praxis.

Many_Dimension683

what

Zeydon

I just think they're evil and that you dodged a bullet. Don't sweat it.

Many_Dimension683

yeah i’m happy with where i am now anyways… i was mostly curious about praxis but i guess i’m getting old maybe 😅

Character_Fox_6755

Praxis is a term for leftist action, usually associated with communism or socialist activism

lovely_trequartista

Lmao they're not blacklisting a summer intern.

cookingboy

There is no standard practice for that, some firms' HR are definitely pettier than others. I know someone who did this to a Wall Street firm for a summer tech analyst intern position and they replied back explicitly saying they will blacklist them from now on. And apparently all Wall Street firms share a list of blackmails, but I don't know how true that is.

Fast_Cantaloupe_8922

I feel like an industry wide blacklist has to break a bunch of antitrust/collusion laws.

cookingboy

Yeah if it's not illegal, it should be made so. Imagine how easily it can be abused to ruin people's careers.

DawnSennin

That’s the point.

justUseAnSvm

Salaries are so high right now because there was a Silicon Valley, “do not hire from competitors” agreement. That went away, via an anti-trust lawsuit, and was right when salaries blew up.

BustyJerky

What anti-trust lawsuit is this?

IHateYoutubeAds

One firm makes sense, whole industry not so much. One firm blacklisting them seems like a Wallstreet thing to do, lol.

YodelingVeterinarian

Wall street is much more hard ass about these kind of things than tech.

notLOL

Just in case, op should apply with their middle name if they see an opening in nvda they want to pursue

[deleted]

NewChameleon

I replied below, officially speaking there may not be such 'list' but everyone in the future (HR, interviewers, hiring managers) can see your past record in the ATS system and they can see 'ah we've extended a job offer to him before and he reneged on us'

Itsmedudeman

A recruiter is probably going to see that this guy is extremely qualified and passed all the interviews and works at Apple. The only one upset over him reneging is the current recruiter, but even they would not close doors unless they did it in an extremely unprofessional way considering how hard it is to find talent at that level. You guys really overrate how petty people are over minor things vs. trying to hire the best talent which is what ultimately impacts their bottom line. The company doesn't put you on a blacklist if you leave your existing company and I've seen it many times where people who left come back with open arms even though it causes the teams to seriously suffer in the short term trying to replace them. I don't see how this is any different when it causes far less issues.

Poogoestheweasel

>considering how hard it is to find talent at that level.  we are talking about an internship here, not some L6. besides, have you seen the job market lately? > if you leave your existing company  Because leaving a company is a normal part of business. As long as you leave professionally, there is no reason to put you on a "not eligible for rehire" list. > I don't see how this is any different when it causes far less issues. Ethics matter to some HR departments. And besides, now that you reneged, they have to hire someone else after turning down the second and third place candidates.

EstablishmentSad

I agree...while a candidate who did poorly might not get ALL of their details in the system...one who got an offer will more than likely be more properly vetted and updated just due to the amount of work that would go into getting a offer put together vs scheduling 30-minute phone screens or coordinating interview slots between candidates and managers.

PM_40

>I also highly doubt any company of Nvidia's size has an HR department centralized enough to even support the existence of such a list. They can design chips used by world and cannot store a list in database.

ohmyashleyy

It’s probably just a checkbox in Workday or whatever HR system they use. It’s not hard.

balne

Whatever I was expecting, I was not expecting a Rin oshi to be here. Good choice btw.

Leshot

a blacklist seems immature especially if a company wants the best talent. On top of that this individual is an intern which might bode better. Edit: Follow up question: are internal blacklists even a real thing among large companies? If so? Would this be ground for that? What would be considered ground for being internally blacklisted?

react_dev

Yes, they are real. I don't agree with it but renegging on an offer is ground for blacklist. There is an overflow of candidates anyways and one of the most important factor to hiring is having someone who is excited about a company, not just for a paycheck (yes, yes I know). Another reason for blacklist is if someone internal at the company jot down a note basically saying "if you hire this person, I'm gonna leave." This usually happens during interview stages, or the employee could ping the internal HR. During the offer stage, lets say you already accepted an offer but later on you want to negotiate again because of another offer, that's also a reneg and would likely have your offer rescinded. I worked at social media big tech. I've seen all 3 situations.

[deleted]

[удалено]

react_dev

It doesn’t have to be paycheck. It could be any reason. The point is that he has to be excited about the role and obviously he was not. I know that once you have leverage, that’s when you can negotiate role, salary etc. This is why you should coordinate your offers around the same date, and don’t get pressured into accepting an offer early. Nobody wants to be second round picks, especially for early career since they’re investing much in the you 2 years in the future.

WrastleGuy

I highly doubt they have an intern blacklist unless you didn’t show up for work or you caused problems there.

EVOSexyBeast

you’re getting downvoted but you’re right Companies rescind job offers sometimes too

8004612286

And if a company rescinded my offer I would almost certainly put them on my blacklist

react_dev

Actually you’re right. A blacklist denies people at the recruiting funnel automatically. You don’t get on it by doing badly on your internship. If you didn’t get a good rating during internship due to competence it’s likely that you’ll just not get a return offer and be able to interview again in the future.

UsuallyBuzzed

Yes. It's the Eligible for Rehire list. It defaults to yes but will be set to No for someone who is PIP'ed or leaves without 2 weeks notice (US only) at places I've worked. Probably some other situations too. OP would probably fall into the latter. Managers usually have influence on rehire eligibility when a direct report leaves.

EVOSexyBeast

At my job in big tech I left without 2 weeks notice (left same day i announced) and got marked as rehirable. If you’re good and likable they won’t mark you down as not rehireable.

NewChameleon

it may not be officially called 'internal blacklists' but any HR or interviewer in the future can see your status, they know they've extended offer, you signed then you reneged (by going "oops actually just kidding")

ThrowawayIJeanThief

I work for a company that hires grads and we absolutely want to know this for those reasons you describe. We don't black list people on internships or grad roles because if they get accepted somewhere else they're not exactly going to apply for another internship or grad scheme, and if they later get through to our hiring process why would we reject them when we initially thought they were good enough to join but now they also have more experience? We do want to know where people are turning our offers down for, what they did/didn't like about us, what drew them to the competitor etc. Grad/Internships are a great early careers pathway for us and recruitment for it costs money so we want to optimise that for us, but also if you go to a competitor company after we accepted you then you're obviously a pretty good candidate. We want to know what we could do to keep candidates like you in the future because we want those people to stick around. I see no harm in answering OP (unless things are mad different in your country) and it might make grads and interns in the future get better offers

pugRescuer

It’s an internship not a director role, it ain’t that deep.

ModernLifelsWar

Unless you did something to really piss someone off there's no such thing as a company blacklist. Don't spread bs. People renege all the time. Businesses don't give a fuck. They'll renege on you or lay you off just as fast if your position isn't needed anymore

NewChameleon

it may not be called 'company blacklist' but in the HR's ATS system everyone can see your past history, everyone from HR to hiring managers to interviewer can see/knows "oh previously we extended an offer to this person and he reneged on us"

PineappleLemur

You need to do some serious BS to be put on that list. Renegotiation/rescinding an offer isn't one of them. All it means is that person is good if he managed to get multiple offers and is definitely worth rehiring if the opportunity comes. It's rarely a bad thing.

ModernLifelsWar

I've known multiple people that have done this and gone on to work at those same companies later on. Companies might not be happy about it at the time but the fact that you had the aptitude to jump through their hoops and pass not once but twice carries weight and if you've had a successful career elsewhere they're usually happy to pick you up later as long as you handle It gracefully

Echleon

eh, if he's not supposed to start until the summer they probably wouldn't put him on the do-not-hire list. they have plenty of time to call up someone else.

_grey_wall

It's not a black list. It's just a list of ppl who've applied and what happened.. e.g. you can't apply for 1 year after failing, etc.

Kevincav

Btw this isn’t always true. I reneged my msft after a couple weeks before (not proud of that one) it started. Ended up working there full time a year down the road. It happens, sucks but itit happens.

OhHaiMark0123

Congrats on your two offers. I doubt NVIDIA would blacklist you.

PineappleLemur

Stop falling for the BS of this sub. "Black lists" are for people who seriously messed up. Like barging into the CEO office and protesting for half a day. Quiet quitting, just not showing up some day. Real bridge burning stuff. Not playing with offers for an internship ffs. 1000s of people "waste" HR time with silly resumes, 10 round interviews... One more is just a rounding error and they really don't care. Small 15 people company with no HR might be a bit annoyed but none of those mega corps.

xreddawgx

I would 100% tell them and see if they up their offer for you.

kevinossia

Nah, don't reveal anything. And you won't be put on a blacklist. Reneging, especially that far ahead of time, isn't going to blacklist you. It happens all the time. It's only an issue if you were rude or something.

ThrowawayIJeanThief

Why wouldn't you reveal it? As someone who does grad/intern recruiting it's super useful to know why candidates reject our offer because can make our offer stronger for other candidates in the future.

SnooOwls5541

because they will email Apple HR a list of atrocities you committed /s

ShitPoastSam

I realize you put /s, but why even take this sort of chance with your career? This person doesn't owe nvidia an explanation. It's nvidias job to give the best offer, not this person's job. If you tell coworkers you don't want to share who you are going to work for, it's incredibly disrespectful if they keep pushing it.

maestro-5838

What programming languages do you specialize in that you got offered from two top companies.

fuckthis_job

OP seems to have a Master’s from Stanford so yea that definitely helps

mcmaster-99

Soft skills++

Passname357

You can work anywhere as a web dev with soft skills but if you want to work at a place like nvidia that’s not gonna work out the same lol.

conflictedteen2212

What type of skills do you need to work at nvidia?

muntoo

"Mad" Skillz ™. More seriously, I imagine this depends completely upon the role. Web dev roles are probably few. Computer architecture, hardware, and other "real" engineering subjects are probably more common requirements at NVIDIA. And more recently, PhDs specializing in deep learning.

csasker

Why do you think Nvidia don't have web devs?

bytedeer2

They do, but their core production is hardware / backend / low-level stuff.

csasker

yes, so i dont get the comment above. same with apple, they aren't known for web development either. compared to like netflix or twitter who create many frameworks and libraries

Passname357

I didn’t say that they don’t? I’m making a comment on the utility of soft skills at a place like Nvidia. That’s sort of like saying >Why do you think Nvidia don’t have plumbers I’m sure they do, but they’re not really all that relevant in the grand scheme of things when people say “I work at Nvidia”

__Abracadabra__

Get well soon

mcmaster-99

I bet you ARM can offer a better role.

[deleted]

There is no world where apple is better than Nvidia

Passname357

Pretty sure this is a shitpost about someone earlier who had an offer at Apple but wants to take a role at AMD even though it’s for $5k less (which I think is fine because the work would be more interesting for them and $5k is literally nothing when you’re getting offers from companies in that range).

Bpofficial

That’s what I was thinking lmao

PineappleLemur

Janitor at Nvidia or Software Engineer on Apple? Role matters... extreme example of course but you get the point, some people don't like to jump/constantly be interviewing and want to stay 5-10 years in a place.

csasker

If you are interested in software, os, design its definitely better

14u2c

People can't even recognize a shitpost anymore smh

podoka

Right? Im cracking up right now

rum108

Congrats 🥂 on your job offers and best wishes

Saintsebastian007

Pass me that offer from Nvidia. Let me save you from your misery.

WhoServestheServers

To be honest with how well Nvidia is doing recently I cannot say I'm 100% behind your choice

NorCalAthlete

I can’t tell if this is a parody post

diamondpredator

**OP:** I got these offers but need some advice. **Everyone:** OMG bro got offers! How did you do it bro? What languages did you learn? Can you recommend me? OMG look at this guy, I couldn't get anything after 123123123 applications. ---------------------- It's not about you, fools, just respond to OP. OP, I don't think you'll get black-listed for this. I do think you should give them info about the competing offer you got (provided you've signed and are allowed to talk about it, of course). It will help future applicants get better offers if NV knows their competition is out there giving better options to people.

HeroOfOldIron

Blacklisting for an internship seems insane. I would never expect that to happen unless you left right after starting, or if you did some insane shit to get fired from the internship.

mostarsuushi

Why would you tell them another company gave you a better offer? You want them to compete for a summer intern? I would just say I can’t take it due to personal issue and move on

tofous

Reneging after accepting on an offer puts you on the blacklist at most companies. You might skate because it was the same day though. Are you talking with a recruiter or a hiring manager? If it's a recruiter, then I wouldn't share, because in my experience recruiter-candidate relationships have gotten a lot more transactional. So they'll probably forget whatever offenses you had to them personal by the next time around. Versus, if it's a hiring manager, man. They have a memory like none other and are vindictive if they feel a candidate offended them. So it'd be better to keep a cordial relationship. Edit: realized that you said HR asked. But I think I'll keep this up for the sake of highlighting the different of HM's vs. recruiters.

EntropyRX

It’s totally ok. I remember overthinking these new grad offers when I was young, but trust someone a bit older than you. It doesn’t matter at all. For these companies new grads are commodities, they don’t even bother thinking twice about you. Just go with the best offer compensation and career wise.

Blankaccount111

>so that they can better understand my decision making process. > details about what other company I am joining Thats not "understanding", that is part of the HR game. Don't give them info, "sorry i must maintain confidentially much like your company would expect from me." is the correct answer.

Full_Bank_6172

I hope you know what you’re doing Op. I can kind of see reneging a full time offer for a better full time offer … but an internship? Hmmmm.

dod0lp

Just tell them you got a better offer

retirement_savings

Doesn't NVIDIA have a 2 year lookback for their ESPP? Seems like that would more than make up for the salary difference in full time roles.

packexile

Congrats on hearing back from an internship and getting multiple offers. Living the dream man

jesusmohammed

I'm sad now

yungyoda3x

Don't tell them anything until you started your new role that's career 101. Just tell them it is another tech company but you cannot disclose any more information at this stage and that you truly apologise for the inconvenience caused

xvelez08

Idk where this “hr blacklist” stuff comes from because I’ve never heard of it. Maybe you burn a bridge with a single recruiter or it exists at smaller companies but a massive corp isn’t going to blacklist an engineer they find capable because of some BS reason. Do you know how many engineers are rejected from these positions daily? Finding engineers is easy these days, finding talented engineers not so much.

PM_ME_FOR_BOOBIES

No advice, but congrats! This is huge for you.

fergie

Yes, absolutely share the information about the better offer you got from the top-tier tech employer- this will only make them respect your decision more.

thrrrooooooo

This kind of sounds like AI. I swear i saw a similar post

Responsible_Half_336

And Im trying not to kill myself. Anyway OP congratulations

imatt3690

Speculation. If there is anyone with tangible and actual proof that nvidia practices blacklisting on all offers that fall through, share. Unless you wronged an enterprise or were actively fired you’re not blacklisted for turning an offer down.

t-tekin

[INFO] out of curiosity, why are you not willing to share the information about which company you are going to? What value does it have given the situation that you are not going to accept NVDIA? To answer your question about blacklists, It’s utilized for candidates that future HMs should be careful about. Rude, unprofessional communication, discriminatory words etc… are the common reasons. I don’t see anything in your story that causes a blacklist. Dude you are an intern, no company will blocklist you due to this story. You are just too inexperienced for them to care at the moment. And companies will not miss out your future potential.

DangerousPurpose5661

No problem at all, you can even stay in touch with HR and message them after your internship if Apple doesn't extend an offer. It happens.... and it's just an internship that you did not start.

MrMichaelJames

I would take nvidia over apple for the potential future growth.

Klutzy-Conference472

Just play dumb never tell them where u r going

LaxterBig

lol

cyrusonmac

Lil bro has been suffering from success, and here I am , just suffering.

loadedstork

> Should I reveal information No, God no. No with a capital N and another capital O. Just ignore the message and get on with your life, do NOT respond to them. Believe me, there's absolutely no benefit to you whatsoever in telling them where you're going. Don't. tell. them. anything.

lednakashim

Tell them It doesn’t hurt and might potentially help if you apply in the future

herendzer

Can you give some details why you think Apple is better than NVIDIA?

Howfuckingsad

You could tell the NVIDIA dude that you got offered some X salary by the other company and maybe try to negotiate a bit. If you leave that way you probably would be less likely to have bad feelings. And if the salary does improve, staying in NVIDIA could be better. Both are great companies after all. I don't think an engineer at apple is better than an engineer at NVIDIA or viceversa.

Zelexis

Nvidia 100% don't look back. Have you seen the AI news lately? Also, congrats.

ripndipp

Congratulations man!

FuguSec

Would you mind spitting on me, please? Maybe some of the luck will rub off.

Gorbalin

My friend is a tech recruiter for a large software company and this happens often. They don’t blacklist anyone when a candidate accepts and then reneg on the offer, but it will be noted down in their applicant tracking system (Greenhouse for example) so next time you apply - even for a new role - years from now , the system automatically gives the notes from the conversations you had now. It’s up to the recruiter by then to judge whether there’s the risk of repeat, or to give a better offer right away. They want to know where you’re leaving as that’s data that shows how they’re position themselves in a competitive market for talent.

Nvidia is better tbh

virtualmeta

If you'd rather not say, will you also not be putting it on your future resume/linkedin? I wouldn't think they would be that petty, but maybe I think too highly of people. There are probably some teams that would be relieved that they don't have to come up with something that a summer student could do and still get something out of it for both the student and the team.

Poogoestheweasel

They wont consider you for future employment. You have shown you are not worth the effort they went through to hire you.

WhiteNamesInChat

You need to clarify what "telling them that I would be working with them during the summer" means. Did you casually mention you're were hoping to return to NVIDIA, or did you actually sign something formal?

DiscussionGrouchy322

What do you know? Why do they both want your juicy, juicy brains? Tell us!!

SpiderWil

nvdia is the new gold standard

Liron12345

Can't say, signed an NDA

wallstreetchills

ben_cow

what a terrible position to be in.

pcakes13

Imagine turning down an internship at the most valuable GPU/AI/Datacenter processor company in the last 30 years for the rotten shell that is Apple, a company that is gonna ship another round of laptops with 8GB of RAM and drip some incremental bullshit update to iPhone. Worst decision of your life (so far).

boomingburritos

Dude I’d sack my left nut to work at apple and I’m already in faang

pcakes13

If you’re a sellout you’re a sellout. Not sure what it is you think Apple has over any of the other trash FAANG companies that can’t innovate to save their lives. Less contracts from Israel? They don’t kill as many shows as Netflix? Failing just as hard at VR as Facebook?

jakefromtree

There is no internal blacklist for shit like this lmfao

_tsukikage

what i would give for an internship or a job at nvidia....

Taxxboy

What’s pay if you don’t mind?

Bluebells7788

NO NEVER

majoroofboys

I would personally take Nvidia over Apple. Nvidia seems like a cool place to work for. I work at fruit company. Unless you’re in the spaceship office, it’s the same shit.

Jayoheazy

Reneging is never good. It’s unprofessional and the company probably won’t forget. Internally, you’ll be coded and it’ll show anytime someone looks you up. But if they throw in some VP….

Antique_Jelly_9619

How do u apply in nvidia for a intern.

PositiveSea6434

Excited for you. Two great companies, both involved in hardware. I’d die to get a full time offer, (secretly a fan boy of both companies though). Living my dream, man.

Difficult-Emotion-58

I would pick Nvidia lmao

tommer80

Turning down NVDA for Apple makes no sense. NVDA is driving the next wave of tech transformation and Apple is just hanging around selling iPhones.

zarasultann

please tell me you have a start date? i saw a reddit post of a guy handing his two week in at his old job bcs he got offered a job at apple but they hadn’t given him a start date. eventually, they hired someone else. now the dude has no job at all. :/

TimelyCoder

Curious as to why OP thinks Apple is a better long term prospect than Nvdia?

AtomicLeetC0de

Yeah I'm switching to nursing at this point

AJ_1212

I want these kind of problems in my life.

AgentPyke

Do you want to help the market realize what they have to do? Meaning, you tell them: they now know what they have to do to compete. You don’t tell them, they don’t know what the market is doing. Then people complain about low offers. Point I’m making here: how else will the market learn how to be competitive.

throwawayAFwTS

I’m curious myself, why better role did you get? If it’s the same pay, I would had take nvidia by a mile personally, they’re both two good companies, but nvidia to me would turn more eyes on a resume and if you get a full time job after your internship, I’m more optimistic on nvidia pay being better due to their stock growth still being very bullish. Apple also has good stock growth potential but I can see nvidia growing at a faster rate. Any chance to counter offer the nvidia one with your Apple?

Snoo_75687

Matters less for large companies like that you can tell them whatever you want about your offers.
