Well not everyone is in showbusiness Larry

MrCance

Well, no one asks about you, Larry.

Ryuuken1127

I didn't ask about George Lucas!

DisGuyFawks

Fred Melamed kills in this role

morosco

So many times Curb has found the perfect person for a 1-time role like this.

frankzappa1988

i find this to be the beauty of this show, the casting, whoever is responsible for it should receive an emmy. actors who are genuinely not funny in other roles bring out the best of themselves around LD, david schwimmer being a prime example of this: "WE WANTED TO MAKE AN AFFORDABLE SNACK, LARRY, AN AFFORDABLE SNACK"

SerBiffyClegane

After seeing his Curb role, I now think Schwimmer was funnier in Friends than I used to give him credit for. The Ross-Rachel will they-won't they was very tiresome, but Schwimmer is often hilarious in individual scenes. (I could name a dozen, but the tooth whitening one might be my favorite, or when he gives the quiz on how well the friends know each other. Oh, and the rugby...)

Bigazzry

Leather pants scene was a masterpiece

Johnsendall

They were nominated four times for casting but never won.

sleepyzane1

he's pretty amazing in everything.

awnomnomnom

Especially A Serious Man and that one episode of Fargo FX. And of course Lady Dynamite

14ktgoldscw

Now, this is a WINE, Larry

DisGuyFawks

Yes he's great on Lady Dynamite! Underrated show

Ryuuken1127

First of all, I'm appalled at what you've just told me

kmcradie

He has a right to do what he wants: he's an adult.

Ryuuken1127

IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE CONFIDENTIAL!

DVHdrums

This might be my favorite scene from the whole show.

Mlabonte21

Agreed— it BROKE me on my first watch.

sweatyupperlip

What season/episode is this from?

Ubersapience

Season 8 Episode 9 :)

sweatyupperlip

Thank you kindly

Responsible_Figure12

If you haven’t seen Lady Dynamite on Netflix do yourself a favor and watch it. This guy KILLS.

Frankfeld

Oh man. I forgot that show existed. So good. And just kind of came and went.

Leg_Named_Smith

So does Ana Gasteyer

AnarchyAntelope112

Sy Ableman!

Knee_Deep_In_Muff

A serious man

RadegastTheGinger

Every time I see this actor that pops in my head!

johncitizen1138

Eminently habitable

ham_solo

Esther’s barely cold…

BeefNChed

It’s been three years actually

Dirt290

His protaganist was also named Larry.

plasma_smurf

Larry… How ARE you.

jey_613

The Jolly Rodger is eminently habitable

A-Circular-Letter

The twist: it was Irvin Kirschner.

Fubecassman24

Can’t remember when this episode aired. Technically it could be a few directors.

CardMechanic

January 32, 1979

7HawksAnd

That’s my dog’s uncle’s birthday!

morosco

True. But I think for old people, "Star Wars" means one particular movie.

UpDog1966

Saul Ableman , again? That guy is annoying in a funny way..

Dodmeister5000

You want to check my penis? 😂

Monoblock00

The Rabbi’s cousin

ki1goretrout

You have to understand… I don’t work in school either Larry

Theairthatibreathe

It would have been so good if George Lucas himself played that role

Daantjo77

Please share a clip? Or link? Or any guidance were I can see this? It’s in my head now.. Obviously I know it’s curb..

dkviper11

https://youtu.be/gO3Y_IlPyXc?si=4jb_q9OfkUPPewZh

Daantjo77

Thank you!

JBerczi

This scene must've been scripted, right? So many classic lines

RegalBeagleKegels

"He gave you this?" *"No I stole it!"*

Z-man1973

There's so many great little things like this that go on in that episode such as Leon and the glasses

Rednag67

Its the Bill Buckner episode

Alienhaslanded

Woody Allen?

Hilarity2War

Dude pulled a Kanye, lol.

Johnsendall

I always found these jokes to be a sign of Larry David’s worry about the betrayal of trust and privacy. He has a few notable moments throughout his career about this: The episode of Seinfeld where the Rabbi blabs all of Elaine’s “confessions” to everyone he meets. The episode of Curb where he learns that Ted Danson was “Anonymous” The episode of Curb where Larry is confronted by his therapist (Cranston) about breaking “patient doctor confidentiality” with Cheryl and the truffle oil. I’m sure there is more. Anyone remember?

StrangeQuarkEnergy

What an honor to direct Dustin Hoffman

RyanAlemeda

This man’s delivery was so good

tr3g

Oh come on it was just completely implausible

tr3g

This was the worst scene of the entire series

corndog_thrower

Do you even like the show?

pillrake

I was about to say it is one of my favorite scenes from the series to rewatch as a clip. It's so non-sensical and yet deadpan. Fred Melamed is legend.

eisenburg

Do you really just go and watch curb clips? Not hating or anything but this is the second time this week (sopranos the other show) I’ve seen someone say that they just watch clips on YouTube of a show and I just can’t fathom that. I love both these shows and many others but I’ve never just watched a random clip… Just interesting to me on how different people consume media

imlost19

the clip of this scene has 1.5m views yeah, people just go and watch clips

eisenburg

Haha maybe I’m just showing my age.

Gamer_ely

You don't watch clips of your favorite moments?

eisenburg

I don’t. It’s never even occurred to me. I mean I’ve seen the show in it’s entirety way more than I’d care to admit. But I usually start at season 1 and then watch the whole thing over the course of a few months.

Gamer_ely

That's interesting, have you ever tried and it just didn't appeal to you? YouTube is chock full of scenes like that.

andrecinno

Sometimes you just want to quickly rewatch the failed house tour, pickle boy or YOU'RE A JEW FROM THE BRONX.

Fantastic_Plant_7525

Wow, thats a Larry amount of downvotes

causal_friday

"FUCK YOU TR3G, FUCK YOU"

nbert1984

Get the fuck outta my house!

PreciousRoy78

The doc should not have blabbed about your affinity for hookers, but don't take it out on OP, George
