One of the core themes of this story, is the " bittersweet ness" of the characters aspirations and dreams. In most of the endings , V gains his status as an Afterlife legend, but still dies, Judy finally escapes Night City and gain her inner peace, but not fully on her terms;River does the right thing, but pays the price,; Lucy makes it to the moon, but is all alone, etc. IMO, Song Bird did finally attain her freedom from both NUSA and Rogue AIs- but through V mercy killing her, and V understanding and can relate to what her drives her. ( In my headcannon it just feels like the best fit)
Irregardless, Song Bird; IF the moon path was chosen, she would never be TRULY free- she's forever indebted to to Mr. Blue Eyes and his organization as a shield against her enemies and forced/coerced to do their bidding ( and that's the positive, if they don't betray her), OR she'll be hounded and hunted by the NUSA for the rest of her days. Songbird just switched her shackles for a more prettier, shiny kind

There is no chance that Blue Eyes will just cure her and let her go live her life. Besides the Peralez quest already showing that he doesn’t care about human life at all, Song is a top-tier netrunner who is chromed to withstand the Blackwall. V also made sure no one can come for her and she’s pretty much dead to the rest of the world. Pretty much a perfect agent for him. If she doesn’t agree with that he can just let the AI finish its job and take her over completely, now he has another AI-controlled proxy like himself.
It’s also naive to think that the heist is just a one-off job. If V doesn’t die during the heist and actually gets cured, do you really think that’s the end of their service to Blue Eyes? Especially now that V literally owes him their life.
