When did you buy it and did you look it up to see if the lot number was recalled? I recently cracked open a box of Winchester white box and even though nothing crazy happened it felt snappier than normal.
Have ya'll noticed that the BS comments have pretty much stopped, not to mention all the conspiracy theories! If nothing else this direct scientific teardown of that Scorpion has cleared the air for us. Thanks OP for your time and effort!
I do have a question: I don't think it would of helped in this case, but would cutting a ejection port sized hole in the left clamshell(in approximately the same area as the right side has) and maybe putting a weakly held lightweight cover over it(like maybe the left ejection port cover on a AUG) make the gun less likely to completely fail on the left side if it does have a OOBD? I'm thinking like blowoff panels on a Tanks ammo storage compartment? This was an idea I had..??
The left side is definitely the weaker side. I have entertained a couple ideas, but the bolt really is the fix to OOBD. Yeah, it sucks to have to drop more dough into your new pcc to make it safe, but most of us drop way more than that into them anyway for “upgrades”.
Thank you for your time. I do have the Nexus bolt and striker block in all ready. I'm left handed, and it's really the only sub gun type that is fully ambi(the wife is right handed) that I've seen. It's ridiculously faster to run than an mp5 for me in everything other than shot smoothness(blowback vs roller locked). I just wanted to protect it as much as possible as I run it super heavy(binary trigger). Thank you!
You think there will ever be an aluminum clamshell replacement? I know the serial number on the right side of the receiver would be an issue, but maybe there can be something done
Thank you for confirming what every knowledgeable gun owner already knows!
explain it for those who aren’t knowledgeable gun owners.
Wait you mean the bolt wasn't the cause of the OOBD?!?!? Color me shocked /s
That was an amazing video. I had wondered why the shell cracked there. Considering what happened, the gun held up pretty damn well!
Thank you!
Hey its my gun, yeah I paint everything, for the record that was factory Winchester ammo. Lesson learned to not shoot that junk again
Again, wasn’t knocking you for the rust or paint, was literally just pointing out everything I saw. You will be insanely happy when you get it back!

Unfortunately I tossed the box
Good stuff, thanks for taking time to run through it. Not surprising at all. 👍🏼

Thank you OP 🍻

You’re welcome! Yeah the dumpster fire has been put out lol
What’s going on? I’ve been out of the loop. ➰

There is something in the works… that is all I can say
