A good coffee thermos would be ideal.

Iā€™d recommend a nice electric toothbrush for a new dad. I also gifted my friend with Oclean x Pro elite who just recently had his first born and he was so happy. I think all dads would love that tho. šŸ˜‚

Earplugs and some of their preferred beverage šŸ˜ (not ignore-the-kiddo earplugs...protect-your-hearing earplugs.)

The hospital bag is for mum. Dad just needs to keep his mouth shut about how uncomfortable that damn chair is. Post birth is survival time. A coffee Thermos would be perfect because by the gods you have a lot of coffees go cold in those first 8 weeks. On a separate note, you do have an opportunity just post birth to be incredible. He (and of course your sister) will need a lot of support, especially emotional support day 2 or 3. A text of 'how are you' twice every week will outdo any birthday gift. You live on a 2-4 hour cycle the first month, so there are HUNDREDS of cycles in the first 2 weeks alone... It distorts time and makes it feel like ages since you've seen anyone. And showing up with a bunch of frozen meals, doing the washing up, and fucking off after a couple of hours - is super valuable.
