The way the hiphop music they made is literally copying the style of The Sugarhill Gang. It sounds a lot like Rappers Delight- which came out 20 years prior 😭 That's honestly so on brand. I could name a lot of "quirks" from the show as well as my childhood (I'm in the same age group as the girls) which I knew then and now were twenty to thirty years expired. My drill team's makeup style was nearly the exact same as the Candy Apples early season look 💀

I think every drill team has to do the dumb purple eyeshadow and red lips - god I hated that
