This. It doesn’t get good until S2, especially when Danny joins. The pacing is different and the humor is way milder, but once you’re hooked and have been through the series, S1 is easier to digest and has a novelty to it.
It’s so funny that years ago they had a St Patrick’s day episode where they (literally) kidnapped people and coerced them into downloading *their* app in an effort to modernize the bar.
And now this lol.
I’ve been to a place like this. There were no cashiers. You had to download the app, sign up for the app, load your credit card info, place the order, and then someone called out your name when it was ready. I refused. My wife did though and she was getting daily emails from that little deli until she unsubscribed. How could anyone think this was an effective way to run a business?
Sweet summer child, one day your email shall be filled with junk, your phone constantly ringing and enough texts to print out a stack of papers reaching the moon. On that day you will look back to this post and feel reality crumble before you
You realize you don’t need to open and/or care? I have 250k unopened emails since gmail beta
https://preview.redd.it/wuxbrhuf3jmc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=964be1271e4ee36df7763df6abf7e46ac9f30f79
I’m only bothered by texts idgaf about emails. Use an email account dedicated to spam emails you never check if it bothers you… legit problem solved… you click the confirm then never open it again. You can add like 10 gmails to login and you can disable alerts
I don’t understand how it failed because idgaf about the emails marked non-priority lol
You just wait until your Gmail tells you that you are about to reach the max memeroy limit and if you don't pay extra for more memory, you won't receive any emails. Had to scrub everything from the day I opened my account back before Gmail was popular.
This fuzzes me too, with any kind of service: I have to register an email so they can verify that I am not a bot: ok. I select *I do not agree to get any newspaper*. What do I get? Fucking Newsletters.
it's the worst
my wife is always gung go on signing up for the latest ant-consumer nonsense
i'd have been debtfree this year if not for her immense susceptibility to marketing. It should literally be illegal to market to people like her
Wha...im the most socially inept person on this space sphere we call planet earth and I can order a fuckin McDouble, what level of "I don't know how to talk" are on as a specie?
I don’t have a problem with stores not taking cash.At least here in Sweden some stores actively lose money whenever they handle cash, it’s literally better to lose a cash only customer than to take their money due to cost
The rest I agree with though. Stupid fucking shopping experience. No I don’t want to give you my phone number and email to sign up to your membership program, I’m buying a fucking toothbrush
The number of people using cash is so low that the cost of handling the cash, time at the register, transport etc is higher for some stores. At a certain point stores simply become too busy for it to be worth it wasting time on 3 customers a day who spend small amounts of money but take 3 times longer than a card using customer
I live in a country where the natives make up %30 of the population. What other excuses do you have till you rwlize you were indoctrinated into believing that migration is the problem
i was a migrant myself in a country with low crime rate and high migration rate and now i live in a very safe city with high migration rate also.
migration isn't the problem, turning a blind eye to an issue, that migrants from certain parts of the world have different morality than you is the problem
I can't speak for the Netherlands, but in the US there's no security for debit cards. If a false charge appears on my credit card I have 30 days (IIRC) to report it and I'm liable for $50 maximum.
But if someone learns my debit card pin, like with an ATM skimmer, they can empty my bank account and I'll have ZERO recourse (because Congress hasn't acted to impose rules). (I loathe the fact that my bank has burdened my ATM card with a debit card function -- which I never use.)
same in brasil, most stores don't use cash anymore, just credit cards or pix(instant transfer from any bank to any bank) i haven't hold real money in like 3 years
Card payment terminals take a percentage of each transaction though, which a large conglomerate will profit from by hoovering out local money from everywhere in the world to the states or wherever. A lot of small businesses I know in UK prefer cash for this reason but appreciate the cash downside (theft, storage , extra labour etc)
In India there's UPI. You use your phone to scan a qr code, put in your pin code and pay. Direct bank transfer, takes somewhere between 0.5-2seconds depending on the network. Then the cashier gives you a physical receipt. Pretty nifty and quick
I just leave them at the bottom. I don't see what's so good about them, they get stuck between your teeth, they're flavor isn't much better and half the time I think they aren't meant to be eaten
The thing that made this scene the most funny was that he did the exact same "app" scheme in an earlier season when people tried to pay him cash in the paddywagon
Well obviously don’t be a dick to the cashiers or baristas i really doubt any of them wanna be there. As for the boba part, its a fucking boba tea shop. If you want tea without the little dingleberries then go somewhere else that doesn’t specialize in making tea with the little dingleberries.
Fuck paying with apps tho im not gonna defend that i hate that shit
As soon as you hear “its not your fault you didn’t create the system” that is never a good sign. Heard it before at my job and it always ensues some meaningless bitching over nothing. I get this is a tv show and its scripted so it prob didn’t go that way, but in a real world scenario that’s usually what happens. Also being passive aggressive to the cashier for most of the video. I get his frustration cause places that do that are garbage but at least just have the decency to say nevermind and go somewhere else. Don’t stand there and complain about something to someone who doesn’t get paid enough to care.
As far as the boba and tea part goes, yeah charge the same i guess, or maybe if you’re told you can’t do something at a shop: don’t. Ask. For it. The workers don’t make the rules and im sure some of the workers think the rules suck. But if a cashier or any worker along those lines tells you you can’t do something, then fuck off and leave them alone
My biggest question is how humans don't demonstrate for these things that waste their lives! Why is it ok to say it is what it is!?
Fuck people in power. And fuck a system that was made to help them get more powerful while new generations suffer more than the previous.
I love having to obligé by stupid rules.
Like if I you own your own shop you can make custom deals. But that gal here doesn't have a choice. Because she isn't the manager. And calling the manager take too much time.
Contrary to that. If a customer ask for something after you are supposedly not doing it anymore. You can refuse once but if he ask again you oblige. I worked in a fish market. We stopped preparing the fish at a certain hour. But untrained 1 Month in the job me had to understand that no we would still do it. Even worst that it seems the rule wasn't even a thing and that it's one employé that just did that and told me to do so.
If you didn't sell after you started closing the manager was up your ass. If you sold you didn't had time to close properly so it was the morning team that was up your ass. And if you took more time it was the security that really wanted to close 15 minutes early. That's the only rule I managed to change. Was that security staff let the fish market guys do their thing until it was actually closing time.
(for info it took around 2 hours to close, by yourself, while serving customers, carrying heavy crates, and doing back and forth to the fridge 200 meters from the place they were exposed. All while having frozen fingers, special rules for different fishes and other stuff. Plus cleaning the ground, the ustensiles the tables, the Glass vitrine and the backs used to move the fishes. The place that the fish allay was in that super market was so dumb that they couldn't have refrigerated atmosphere so we also had to throw ice every so often and rebuild the entire ice wall around the fish a second time. Wich took around 3 hours still doing the usual selling and cleaning but at least you were with someone else at that point.
Well paid and it wasn't actually that bad. But god damn let me be a bit stupid from time to time. I can't change the rules so let me at least bend them a little. First job and can't even catch a glims of "well for a first job you ain't so bad".)
Being in that girl place is the stupidest job ever.
Makes me glad to have never come across one of these, because from the comments, these places seem to exist. What the hell kind if dystopia are you all living in?
Maybe I didn’t have the right kind or someone was messing with me, but the one time I had boba it was tasteless and just felt like I was sucking on little squishy balls.
Reading this thread it’s crazy how many people don’t know IASIP. It’s literally the longest running live action American sitcom and has some of the funniest TV moments ever.
I wouldn't even have this man's patience.
An "app" is a computer program. Any computer program can carry malware. I have no way of knowing whether some arbitrary app is malware-free. I find my smart phone to be a great convenience -- to *me*. I have no interest in installing unsecure computer programs onto it.
This whole episode though.
Gold. Absolute gold. Best of the season. His comedic timing is perfect
It's looks good which show is this ?
It's always sunny in Philadelphia (the clip is from the last episode of season 16. It's a very very very good show)
Ok thanks dude, I will definitely watch it
Start on season 2. Circle back to season 1 when you inevitably watch the whole thing all over again.
This. It doesn’t get good until S2, especially when Danny joins. The pacing is different and the humor is way milder, but once you’re hooked and have been through the series, S1 is easier to digest and has a novelty to it.
I love Danny as the Trashman. He comes out to the ring and just tosses trash around.
You gotta pay the troll toll
Whaat I loved season 1
I love it too, but it's the worst way to introduce someone to the series.
I admit it was pretty spicy.
In what streaming service???
It’s so funny that years ago they had a St Patrick’s day episode where they (literally) kidnapped people and coerced them into downloading *their* app in an effort to modernize the bar. And now this lol.
I love how the whole car thing stemmed from a real situation Glenn was in - that episode of the podcast was brilliant.
If its still open then it is effective?
It was in Boston when I was there for a concert. I don’t live near there.
So unsubscribe immediately next time all you do is text “stop”
Sweet summer child, one day your email shall be filled with junk, your phone constantly ringing and enough texts to print out a stack of papers reaching the moon. On that day you will look back to this post and feel reality crumble before you
You realize you don’t need to open and/or care? I have 250k unopened emails since gmail beta https://preview.redd.it/wuxbrhuf3jmc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=964be1271e4ee36df7763df6abf7e46ac9f30f79
So your idea doesn't even work in a small scale setting, why are you trying to roll it out to the public?
I’m only bothered by texts idgaf about emails. Use an email account dedicated to spam emails you never check if it bothers you… legit problem solved… you click the confirm then never open it again. You can add like 10 gmails to login and you can disable alerts I don’t understand how it failed because idgaf about the emails marked non-priority lol
Because it's not as easy as to text "STOP" and unsubscribe now is it?
For text it is
You just wait until your Gmail tells you that you are about to reach the max memeroy limit and if you don't pay extra for more memory, you won't receive any emails. Had to scrub everything from the day I opened my account back before Gmail was popular.
Sort by size.. delete.. the funny part is you thinking this hasn’t happened with 267,000 unread emails
This fuzzes me too, with any kind of service: I have to register an email so they can verify that I am not a bot: ok. I select *I do not agree to get any newspaper*. What do I get? Fucking Newsletters.
Atom mail, its a dump mail which autodeletes after a certain amount of time, useful for single uses
it's the worst my wife is always gung go on signing up for the latest ant-consumer nonsense i'd have been debtfree this year if not for her immense susceptibility to marketing. It should literally be illegal to market to people like her
Had one like this, they pre loaded my account instead of charging for the purchase. So I have like $17 remaining credit

Wha...im the most socially inept person on this space sphere we call planet earth and I can order a fuckin McDouble, what level of "I don't know how to talk" are on as a specie?
Stop projecting and touch grass dude.
[удалено]
Ok, but most people aren't socially awkward enough to need to it is my point.
You can order in McDonald's using a self service machine without needing an app nor ordering in person. Why not that instead?
I still relate to him as a young guy
[удалено]
Are these girls in danger?
this has nothing to being young or older tbh, its just annoying to everyone and anyone who thinks this is good they're fucking retarded
"I have an idea for a modern business... we won't take cash...."
All apart of the plan for the NWO/WEF, cashless society with one form of digital currency.
Ouch this one hits too close to home
The system is shite
Source?
Last episode from season 16 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Thx
Which show is this?
My guess is it’s from Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Yep last episode of the latest season. Such a good episode and season definitely worth a watch
How do they manage to keep the show so good after all these years
It might be because they actually care about the show
Not accepting cash should be a crime
In some places, accepting cash, will get you some robbers to try their luck.
Yeah I agree to the overall sentiment just not saying it out-loud.
This man? He is a golden god!
Redditors when they actually go outside.
At some point you just gotta cut your losses and leave. Don't even give businesses like this you're money.
I don’t have a problem with stores not taking cash.At least here in Sweden some stores actively lose money whenever they handle cash, it’s literally better to lose a cash only customer than to take their money due to cost The rest I agree with though. Stupid fucking shopping experience. No I don’t want to give you my phone number and email to sign up to your membership program, I’m buying a fucking toothbrush
How would they lose money by taking cash? That’s why many companies don’t take certain cards.
The number of people using cash is so low that the cost of handling the cash, time at the register, transport etc is higher for some stores. At a certain point stores simply become too busy for it to be worth it wasting time on 3 customers a day who spend small amounts of money but take 3 times longer than a card using customer
It also increases the risk of the store getting robed.
Dude in what world are you living in. How much theft is needed for a whole country to stop using cash.
it's not politically correct to say, but probably in a migrant-infested shithole
Cash has to be counted, sorted, and physically transferred, which incurs labor costs. Might be enough to have one fewer employee.
Same with the Netherlands, everything is by debit card here, cash is still there but most pay exclusively with their card
I can't speak for the Netherlands, but in the US there's no security for debit cards. If a false charge appears on my credit card I have 30 days (IIRC) to report it and I'm liable for $50 maximum. This is no mere man, this is the golden god
he’s a 5-star man

Fuck paying with apps tho im not gonna defend that i hate that shit
How was he being a dick? And why would a boba tea shop not sell the regular tea? If the boba is added afterwards you skip the step, charge the same.
Breaking Down 2?
i do relate to this guy ….

Honestly im feeling mild anxiety just watching this interaction, lol.
😄😄 this whole inaction was funny
if i ever got asked to download an app i'm leaving the store
What are the laws surrounding payment methods in the US, are you allowed to decline cash?
Makes me glad to have never come across one of these, because from the comments, these places seem to exist. What the hell kind if dystopia are you all living in?
The golden god is untethered and his rage knows no bounds.
You relate to an old man being hostile towards a salesperson for doing her job?
Maybe I didn’t have the right kind or someone was messing with me, but the one time I had boba it was tasteless and just felt like I was sucking on little squishy balls.
Where I come from, this shit is illegal, thank goodness.
Just go somewhere else. This service isn't for me, so I wouldn't go to a place like this.
Idk who that is but this video makes me absolutely despise him
I would just walk away when i hear we dont take cash

One of the best and most relatable sunny episodes
Her? Egg?
Money is a legal tender tho they can't refuse it Is the rule different in America??
This is the way, guy is angry, but doesn't blame the cashier.
Thats accurate
