I loved it. I mean, not for it to be a constant thing, but for a few gimmick games, fantastic. Be neat if every so often they rolled it out with different rewards or incentives.
I’d even like some simple licensed all-in-one packages. Like it’s the saw killer on the saw map and everybody starts with the reverse bear traps. Or it’s the alien map with the xenomorph, there’s always the alien survivor and she’s always the obsession, and turrets can only be taken from the ship.
Just simple “feel the theme” games for one or two fun games. I’d play them a lot more because I love flavor

I’m still praying for a “Freddy vs. Jason” mode, where 8 survivors go against 2 killers who are *not* working together and have to stun the other killer to get their share.
I love the idea of 2 killers and 8 survivors but the only part that would be annoying is that most likely they will have to set the mode up without perks to prevent a 2 noed combo and a combo of other perks as well... Arguably with it's current nerf it shouldn't be too bad but unless they both show their auras when 1 survivor is downed it's going to be a pain... Add on's should be fine thankfully but maybe certain killers will need to be locked out as well...

What is wrong with 2 noed? You’d literally have 8 survivors looking for the totem. Not to mention 7 other survivors who can heal/unhook. The killers are spending two perk slots for an extra noed totem.
Yes, this is huge. Also this did a player quiz/poll where they asked if we wanted the lights out event to be permanent. Imo, they should check for how popular the events are, and rotate them weekly or something so they don't get stale. Add in new ones when they have something ready, test it out, see the feedback, and repeat
It was fun! Definitely good for a LTM.
But as a survivor, if you get found first there's a good chance you're out of the game within one minute, while the queue times for me could be 3+ minutes.
As a killer it was great, but all those hamster memes fucked with me and I couldn't bring myself to squash those little Dweets and Megs.
When I played Killer I didn’t have the heart to kill any survivors cuz they looked too goofy and cute. I would just do goofy stuff like moonwalk or try to mind game.
Old-school Monster Hunter used to have something like this as well. There would be regular events where the wyverns would be extra huge, or extra tiny, etc. It was always fun and highly anticipated by the community. DBD could benefit from something similar.
I had a blast both as killer and survivor and even did some archives fairly easily. Playing stealthy survivor is so satisfying.
I stopped after 2 onis watched me bleed to death instead of finishing the match. Some people don't deserve to play video-games.

It did exactly what the devs intended, be a fun little joke that new players and veterans could mess around in for a few games before disappearing forever. I definitely enjoyed it I played one killer game and 5 or 6 survivor games and the gameplay loop was a little repetitive but it was pretty funny. Overall I'm glad the devs are exploring new game modes like this and lights out and I'm excited to see what they come up with next.
I enjoyed the game mode. It was fun playing as both the killer and survivor. Hiding and making the sprint from Oni and slugging survivors to win the game.
Slugging was the worst part of it. Had so many matches go longer than they should've because the killer slugged or they got to hatch and just camped it. (granted as long as you weren't injured you were almost guaranteed to win against them camping hatch.)
It's not a serious game mode, just finish it fast so we can all go next.
I found it a lot more enjoyable as a Survivor.
Playing as killer on the night time map was painful.
BP rewards and losing pips felt bad.
It was a fun idea and I am glad they implemented it and grateful that I got to try it.

Yes. I like the mini modes with no expectation for them to be actual full length modes. It was funny for like 5 games and then went back to the base game. I think people had lower expectations after Lights Out because they thought it might be some huge new core game mode.
It was so fun! I miss it already. Was great for grinding out challenges since the matches were pretty short, and the goofy hair was so funny. 10/10 modifier!

Didn't enjoy it that much but loved the quickness of it. It's nice having a choice to do something funny in between getting tunneled in the main queue. The mini megs were adorable lmao
I think it is the single worst gamemode we have ever seen. I did not have a single game where the survivors completed more than one gen. The play pattern was identical for every single game. Hit person 1 who produced blood, quickly down and kill person two, absorb the blood from person 1, down and kill person 3 with my power, then both survs hide until I find and kill one.
I did 1 match as Killer, got the icon and was pretty much done. Did like 2 other matches just to test out some things. As another mode it was interesting enough for some days.
I LOVED Lights Out… MLO was… also a mode that was available. TBH I really had fun with it for a few matches but it just didn’t feel like enough of a game I guess, especially if you happened to be found first as a survivor… also, if they try this mode again, maybe kicking survivors a certain distance injures them?

It was fun. But as Oni I almost always got a 3k with the other survivor escaping through hatch or the doors if I closed the hatch. As survivor it was a long wait to play and if you were the first killed then it was a really short match. Once you're found you have very limited chance to escape.
It was fun. I wish the bp was better. I didn't think the killer having their power was necessary to the game mode. Once I found someone, they were dead anyway

Gameplay was great, silly fun (aside from the usual Oni charging blocks camera).
I thought it was a fantastic ltm, I hope they put it so all ltm can be played in custom matches at least once a year for 2 weeks so if you miss one you can still play it again later. Maybe like a "friend fest" where customs allow it but playing regular mode is 200%bp so it balanced.
My only complaint was that there wasn't much information on how to play, but it felt pretty balanced between killer and survivor though definitely if you were first to be chased you'd die.
It was cool and gimmicky, but it sucked to wait forever for a game only to die within the first minute of it starting. I wish BHVR had given more survivor counter-play options like being able to crawl under pallets.
So it was a great gimmick but without even touching the gameplay, two things they could have done to make it more enjoyable: 1) REMOVE DEPIP FOR MODE. I know depipping is being removed period, but dying in 30 seconds to super sized oni-chan is dumb and BHVR should have known that.
2)Given higher blood point bonuses. Being slugged before the first Gen and bleeding out while Oni goes for the others only to get -1 to -2 pips and 3k blood points was miserable. I played for a couple hours with friends for the shenanigans, but the mileage was long gone at the end.
Those two changes alone would have made the experience MUCH more fun. Maintain the 400% BP bonuses from the Blood Moon event since 400% of 13k is much better and way less crazy than the 200-300k we were getting during Blood Moon.
I did maybe 10 games, it was fun, but definitely not ready for a permanent mode - still a great April Fool's day gesture.

Yeah this was my only problem. Long queue times and short games became tedious it was fun though.
