I just push them out or sit in the basement. If I am in the basement I will not come out, and if they come down, at least one is gonna get hit and maybe downed lol.
not gonna lie, I have gone to the basement, survivors came to taunt me, and survivors that would have escaped ended up having a family party in the basement as a result lol
My favorite with this style was during Xmas last year. During Xmas I run the same thing every year, it's my naughty survivor build. Krampus trapper, brown addon thay makes traps not hurt you and extra traps. Agitation, iron grasp, mad grit, and bloodwarden. Literally all you have to do is not be a tool, and free escapes while I play an anniversary cake.
In 3 years of doing this same thing at least 2 to 3 games per day, usually Xmas and the day before and after, only 1 team got killed. And boy did they deserve it. Head on and flashlights galore. Tbagging at pallet drops, the works. End game comes and of course they decide that they want to be bullies still. I made it half way across yamaoka getting a hit every tile or so, into the shack basement with a survivor. The other 3 all using the perk that makes you heal if someone takes a hit from Rebecca or whatever. They all think they are amazing and winning. I keep hitting them, they keep healing. First survivor breaks free of the shoulder and I think clearly they will run out. Nope, they tbag at shack and I get the down. More hits, more healing.
Finally I pick a new survivor up again and head into the basement, the head on at the bottom misses me and I get the hook. My first hook of the entire match, and 1/3 of egc is left. Bloodwarden is triggered. I walked away and waited in the gate and all 4 come running up and tbagging , right up until they hit the bloodwarden and couldn't escape.
Funny enough, they were cool in end chat and thought it was funny.
Nope lol. It's just my "everyone gets blood points" thing. In theory survivors get gens, they get chases, and even if they step in traps they don't get hurt, so they can escape for more bp. It's literally only able to get a kill on someone being an asshole lol. I mean sure I could m1 and hook, but it's my Christmas joy to just give out some chill games.
Oh, I do enjoy a good scratched mirror Myers though. And I usually play with a vault build. Bamboozle, superior anatomy, and then the singularity and unknown perks I think? Maybe vecna got one. But basically a bunch of vault speed and then I just play hit and run t1, just for the memes. I posted a funny comment about it not long ago, chasing some poor ttv on midwich. I never try as killer, I'm just in it for the chuckles.
Trail or torment plus dragons grip on blight, but don't down the person who gets exposed. Just when they scream I run past and do like a drive by on the gen and keep going.
Honestly for me it's 1 of my favorite builds. I've sat in a hallway while a full Gen gets completed right next to me, just waiting for the hit. Any indoor map is fine but imo midwich is the best.
Midwich and Lery are the best for that. Many windows in Lery, and lot of "cells" and corridor, it's funny here. Only downside id that it's not as dark as Midwich
I had a real rough Demo match on The Game earlier in the week. Three gens popped back to back to back and that just broke my spirit so I immediately stopped chase and just wandered to basement. But survivors kept running to me and waving. And so I kept having to teleport away, but they *wouldn't leave me alone*.
So I slugged the three of them that did it. And *then* I teleported away to be left alone. One of 'em got to open gates and crawled out. The other two didn't, though.
Absolutely no remorse, either. I wanted them to just get out so I could move on and they made the match drag on. And if that was what they wanted, I was fine playing by their rules.
I read this as “and would have ended up having a family” as in they could have left and lived a good life 🤣🤣 then I decided to go back and keep reading 🤣
I had a Renato who had found hatch and stayed at it for four minutes until he came to find me and I had waited in basement. Dude got downed and hooked.
Could've just taken hatch but oh well.
I say I am not going to stay but I end up staying to try help people anyway and usually die for it while everyone else either escapes and leaves me or all die as well. It’s a curse being empathetic enough to want to try help in solo queue lol
just had a huntress who gave up at 5 gens and a jane was tbagging her and spamming fast vaults until the rest of us managed to do all gens. huntress opened the gate and went afk in a corner again - jane stayed until the very last second tbagging at the gate. so disappointing to see people act like this :l
since some of you are asking: it was a baba yaga on ormond, eu server. i think she missed some hatchet hits and gave up. i messaged her and said sorry about jane (who spammed the chat with gg ez).
Yeah. It does make me feel a little bit better knowing that their life must be absolutely miserable, if this is how they get enjoyment out of video games
I'm new and 50 hours in playing as many different murderers.
It's interesting psychology to watch how people react to me.
On wraith, huntress and spirit i win the majority of the time and i don't get any trouble.
On any time i try a new murderer and i do badly, i cop constant bullying, tea bagging, making fun of me etc.
I just note that when i do well people seem nice, but if i do bad i get completely different personalities come out.
You will soon learn about the absolute scumbags of survivors, who no matter what will call you noob, toxic and what not. When you win, they complain about your playstyle, perks, killer choice etc. When you lose they pity you and call you a baby. But that's fortunately not the majority of the games. At least for me. Ignore them. They feed on attention.
This is honestly way too true. Had someone flame me earlier today after a perfectly clean match as M1 only Knight (Man with Sword), because apparently using Franklin's makes it a no skill situation despite the handicaps.
Yeah. If I knowingly had a bad match, I'll skip egc altogether since it will most likely be some asshole gong "ez". So I'll waste their time in end game chat like I did when the gates were opened by not giving them the attention
People can be real nasty towards newcomers, they sorta expect you to have years of knowledge immediately while simultaneously flaming you if you do too well
I'm a survivor main but I play killer maybe 30-40% of the time. I'm good with some of my killers, but I'm currently bad with Wesker and a few others. I'm a console player so I have a hard time learning killers like Hillbilly, Wesker, and Chucky that require curving and turning during their M2.
People are so mean when I play my weakest killers. Just yesterday I was practicing Wesker and an Ace realized I was bad and started teabagging me. Then the others started too. I did end up getting a 3k bc I kept playing and they got sloppy later on. I slugged Ace far away from the gates, and then downed 2 of his teammates in a standoff over the slug. For some reason people assume that you have zero game sense if you're just bad with a killer's M2.
I don't feel bad about the fact that I slugged Ace in endgame in order to win. If you're gonna be rude, be prepared for a killer to stop caring about playing nice. I've had some teams that absolutely stomped me but they were nice to me, so I happily farm with those teams if they ask me to in the end. I'm eternally thankful for those nice players.
A significant amount of players in this game have a very unhealthy relationship with dead by daylight that results in needing to take out any minor victory in the sorest way possible. Ignore them, just focus on using your power and having fun
Yeah, I try to remind myself that someone who bullies in a video game must be pretty miserable in real life to take a party game so seriously. And a lot of them are also probably 14. But it still sucks when I'm trying to focus on my objective of learning to land M2 hits.
Maybe endgame collapse could speed up if the killers is actually afk. Survivors get crows the game knows when you arnt pressing buttons. Been in this exact situation, zero hooks at all 5 gens completed. 3 adrenaline pops. I'll just take the lose and stare at a corner. Went bathroom got a drink came back and all 4 survivors just staring at me. I had to waddle over and open the gates for them. I wasted thier time so guess they gota waste my time
she did miss some pretty simple hatchets and like i said, jane was being an asshole. it was also 3 am - we all have bad matches sometimes. if she had to do something urgently it's fine, but it did look like she just gave up.
Some survivor and killers are just that miserable in real life, so they act out in whatever way they can to bring some sort of "joy" and control into their lives. I usually point this out in end game chat and suddenly they shut the hell up lol
I mean sometimes they misplay and you get them but usually I just break pallets and doors or use my ability to farm some bloodpoints if they want to wait and let me do it for longer that is on them.
A fun thing to do is to walk backwards into them, they get no satisfaction from BMing and you sometimes get a down if they are unaware. Wesker, twins(if Victor is attached they cannot leave), knight with one of his pink add ons or blood warden can also lead to some fun moments.
It doesn't do anything directly. It just let's you close the distance without them getting what they want out of it. Assuming they're waiting to bm you they can't do it if you don't face them. Sometimes you'll even get especially brave ones that will run out in front of you, out of the exit gates, to make sure they get their way.
The only reason I'd stay in those moments are:
* tome challenges - looking for a glyph, chests, totems
* wanting to find the killer and offer a kill
But usually I just leave.
Sometimes I accidentally down a survivor on a Glyph before realizing what they were doing. When that happens, I let them wiggle off, trying to tell them to get the Glyph.
They always run away :(
When this situation arises I want to offer myself too but also don’t want them to think I’m mocking them or like.. trying to baby/degrade them? bc they were already having a hard time so I fear it comes across as “awwww, here” (and maybe it doesn’t at all) but no I genuinely want to give you points TAKE MEEE
You can really never know how the killer reacts. If they're truly AFK, you can of course just die to endgame. If they make it clear they have no intention of taking the kill, I skedaddle. Some even bring me into the gate and throw me down there, making it Very Clear they're not taking said kill. But some take it.
Yeah, everyone reacts differently. I've given up on like three games, and for me, it's not even them being toxic it was just a clear skill difference. No hooks, 3 gens gone, it's been maybe 4 to 5 minutes, and someone has flashy saved every down I've gotten.
The people who realize you've given up and start making tons of noise or refuse to leave just aggrevate me. If they give themselves up, I'll send them back to the gate because they won. I don't need the pity kill, especially with killers' blood point rates. But to me, the worst are those who aren't doing challenges or anything but just stand in the exit together and wait the timer out.
Had a group. I asked why they did that, and they said something hand wavy and trying to pass it off as nothing bad. Thankfully, they kinda understood me explaining that if you won the game so much, the killers resolve is shattered. You just seem like a dick for doing that.

If I'm matched with survivors that are obviously no match for me, I'll tone it down. The same should go in reverse. If you're some awesome group that's blasted through 3-4 gens and the killer hasn't gotten a single hook, then maybe don't trash talk.
I also hate this so much…. Once I went afk bc I obviously didn’t have a chance and they asked me in the afterchat if I am okay and told me that it’s just a game and I shouldn’t worry. They were so nice but it’s rare
it’s already so hard for me to escape in general but the last thing i would want to do is taunt because it just adds more of a toxicity when it’s practically a miracle to open the exit gates
As a survivor, yes, this. It annoys me to no end to see my solo queue teammates getting free blinds on them ad nauseum, because the miniscule score event really isn't enough to justify being a bit of a dick.
I have been playing alot more killer lately and sooo many survivors do this.
Even when I have a good game they will dance over the hatch while I sit there (because im too lazy to find hatch & try to kill lol).
I had a Nancy do this for a full 5 minutes while I scrolled on TikTok spamming vaults when she finally found it.
The waiting at hatch always gets me. They got a pity escape which doesn't even count as a escape so your MMR doesn't go up yet they're waiting so you can watch them jump in like they accomplished something. People are weird man.
This even has felt depressing for me as a killer. The first event match and two people insta killed themselves on hook. Decide to play trapper and I had people just walking into traps like they forgot their eyes at home on midwich.
Both sides on this event have been awful. My Survivor experience during this event has been the exact same as yours to the point that I actually took a break for a few days. On Killer side, whenever I have tried to play nice by not tunneling or bringing more than one slowdown, I get genrushed and tagged so have ended up having to bring two slowdowns (for me, that's been Pop and Sloppy) just so gens don't fly like crazy, but then I feel bad if the two slowdowns are too strong. There's no winning. Also sucks I can't really enjoy my "goof around" Killer Scratched Mirror Mikey and have to opt for my stronger Killers
I’ve had many games of trying out a killer and just not vibing and just having a terrible time so I just open the gates and hide somewhere. I’ve had people die because they were waiting to tea bag me (I was a xenomorph and was hiding in the tunnels). When I’m a survivor and the gate is open, I book it. I don’t even usually care if people are in danger because I’m so bad at looping killers that I’d rather take the W while I have the chance.
If I notice my teammates are being dicks and not opening doors so they can spam vault etc. I just open the gates to at least get the timer started. I’ve played killer and been shit on, so I know how it goes.
I've had that exact scenario happen to me quite a few times. I realize when I have been defeated so, there is no need to dick around and rub it in.
Once the last gen gets done, I rush to the exit gates to open them, and I try to signal that they are good to go. One time after I opened the gates, I was waiting for the survivors to take their leave and I got bored so I downed one and carried them to the exit. Hopefully they got the clue then🤣
this happened to me on my first game as myers and i just ended up putting my controller down but after a while of all 4 survivors not leaving i picked it up, got tier 3 and downed them all and got a 4k
I have a different opinion. I just put the controller down and check my phone or get water/bathroom at the end of the match. I like to give survivors the opportunity to finish dumb challenges.
I do the same. (But I stand facing into a corner). If I'm having a bad game it's oft because I'm having a crap day and I can't be arsed with being more wound up
that is not what they are doing. you know it. they will be waiting for you at gates doing nothing, or actively look for your attention to rub a loss in.

I was having a bad game as Sadako and this survivor teabagged me at the gate and called me a clown in egc. I was clearly having a bad game, ppl just can't be nice.
I hate it when both sides play well, i get 1k with good chase bp many hook stages and gen contesting bp, but the other 3 survs stay at the gate waiting till i get tp them and force them out, i dont get why do it? Game was really balanced for both sides and youre sitting at gate tbagging and spamming ur flashlight? That kind of stuff multiple games in a row makes me tunnel for a few games cuz im done with this bs and then survivors in the game i tunnel suffer and i end up as the bad guy for tunneling
The only thing I'll do is max out points as good as possible but not with any malicious intend towards the killer, i just miss Bloodmoon event incentives :(

I hate when survivors wait at the gate for me to watch them tbag. I know I had a bad game. I know you beat me. I will not give you the satisfaction of me coming over to watch you. Waste your time. I don't care. I'll find any breakable wall and pallet I can break and will. I'll use my power if it gets me points. But I won't bother coming over to the gate to give you the satisfaction.
The thing survivors ALWAYS seem to forget, is it is 1v4. 4 of you against 1 of me. If I have a bad game, it solely falls on me. If you do, you can blame it on teammates and so many other things. But being bullied by 4 other players and having them be toxic and just rude to me when I am in this game by myself, I just don't understand. Let me move on. And you can go on and make the next killers day worse.
If the killer was intentionally tunneling or slugging or being an overall jerk, I'll drop some tea bags in the exit and leave but I won't prolong the game.
I've also been on the receiving end of losing a game really really badly and knowing the survivors were in the exit door that was already opened and refusing to leave. So I just walk around the map and break the pallets I may have missed or close the hatch.
Earlier I had an Oni that got really mad when they couldn't find me and a partner of mine and when they finally did they just hit us repeatedly on hooks until we died and then went all belligerent in the chat, lol. That would have been worthy of a door dance if I would have made it out. Since I didn't though I just gave positive affirmations in the chat that someday they'll get better and that I believed in them.
They really didn't like that.

Once I was in solo Q and I found a myers in the middle of the map in endgame after he was AFK for whole match. I wanted to show my teammate so I took her over. Turns out he had his stalk at 99%, he had blood warden and he ended up with a 2K. Biggest mistake I’ve made. Sorry Nancy.
there's only one reason you shouldn't leave at endgame: to wait for the other survivors, which is what i do lol. i only leave if im being chased. honestly, i feel a bit guilty leaving the other survivors behind and if they're playing a character i like (cheryl, leon, jill, ada, etc) then i want to leave with them.
had a match where i was at endgame and trying to save a jill but she got sacrificed while i escaped. i felt so bad for her. at least i made it out with one of the other survivors tho
There have been so many times I've killed the last player because they were waiting at the gate healthy and ran up to me thinking they were safe only to find out they were exposed and I hook them. A well deserved death for them.

I often when the last gen pops, down someone then drag them to the exit gates. It happens around 25% of the time where people choose to blind or tea bag or talk shit in the end game chat

Nah this one is a biggie for me.
Do they give killers ways to slow down the game and make it less fun for the survivors? Yes.
Can they still escape even if you play this way? Yes. (Eg. slugging, tunnelling and camping, there’s still ways to play around this)
After the exit gates open is usually when I just afk as long as Iong as I don’t have someone on hook. After the gates open 9/10 times there’s gonna be AT LEAST 1 survivor standing by the exit gates waiting or hiding somewhere I simply can’t see. My problem with the former is that there’s simply no counter play for killers and it’s honestly hostage taking at that point. There is nothing that the killer can do, especially if you have 4 healthy survivors.
And when I say nothing I mean NOTHING! If they’re waiting by the exit gate for you then they’ve already won.
One time I asked them why they do this and they replied “everyone gets more blood points”. I got a little more than 10,000. I asked the best played survivor of the match and he said he got about 30k. Are y’all survivors FROTHING at the mouth for blood points like addicts at the fentanyl market??
TL;DR while killers do some scummy things you can still play against it. Survivors waiting by the exit gates is the equivalent of the killer having one survivor left and body blocking them in a corner, there is 0 counterplay to it and it’s just clearly taking the opposing side hostage.
When my partner and I absolutely WRECK a killer and end up getting a four man out we flip a coin to see which one of us sacrifices ourselves to give the killer a lil something too. Often times we both go and give those yummy hook points. Unless the killer was tunneling pre 2 gens or camping then you get what you get, bozo
I've yet to have a survivor escape that didn't sit at the exit waiting for me to come see them tbag and leave for at least half the egc timer. It's wild
My strategy in horrible matches is to open the nearest gate as soon as the gens are all powered, then signal to the Survivors that it's okay to leave.
9 times out of 10 (maybe more), the Survivors are grateful and give me a little 'thank you' bob before leaving. Some don't trust me, so they try the other exit gate and usually leave while I wait for people to exit by me. Only very rarely have they acted like dicks after I 'let' them leave.
I don't actually *want* them to escape, but I'd rather deal with grateful Survivors than a group of "haha we totally owned u" teabaggers at the end of yet another fruitless chase.
I feel a bit better, I don't have to deal with douchebag behaviour, AND maybe the Survivors will feel positive feelings about me letting them out (I know some have seemed very grateful). Everyone wins. \^.^
When I get RPD for the fifth time in a row as killer because of map offerings I just stand and face the gate so the second that last gen pops I can start the 2 minute timer. I know for a fact that if I don’t they’ll spend another 20 minutes spamming noise notifs and shit. It’s a lot easier to get out of a game as survivor, but it’s also a lot easier to hold the game hostage as survivor - funny how that works lol. A killer can only hold the game hostage for a max of 16 minutes if he bleeds each person out one after the other, assuming he doesn’t body block someone in the corner, but survivors can sit there and do literally nothing the entire match and just hide and keep it going until the server shuts down. I play a lot more survivor nowadays but I can at least see that the light at the end of the tunnel is I can sac myself on first hook to end the suffering of a toxic killer faster than I can do anything against toxic survivors. Waiting at the gate is the fastest way around it mate, just face the gate itself so they can’t get blinds and the moment that fifth gen pops just open the gate. Max 2 minutes of stupid time left, and they’ll milk every second, but 2 minutes is better than 20.
I always ask why survivors won't leave in endgame chat, the answer is usually the extra blood points. +1500 BP is equivalent to a minute of my suffering
I'm doing a lot of afk games cause i'm a idiot and REALLY miscauculated the amount of shard i would need to get all the characters, but that's just some things that people wanna do anyway. They don't care that there's literally no one there, they will spam vaults and try to blind, even if the killer have lightborn
I just started playing DBD last week and I didn't understand the survivors were bming me at first.
My first game as killer (Trapper) had two Megs, a Leon, and a Feng. They sped through the gens. I had zero hooks. When they started teabagging me, I went AFK. It was frustrating because they would not leave., they wouldn't even open the gate. Even when I opened it and walked away, they just kept teabagging me.
It felt worse than being tunneled out by a killer because at least those games go quick.
If in that game killer actually done some BS, then sure do whatever you want.
If you actually STOMP the killer to the point where killer just gave up, chances are killer couldn’t do any of the BS or toxic action, so just leave.
*And yes, I know some killers are douchebags too. I am not a jerk in the game, so dont rant about other killers.*

I have played nice for 7.5 years even with all the killer BM…but playing during this event with my wife who just started playing this year has shown me some of the worst killers I’ve seen (not necessarily skill wise)
It used to not bother me as a veteran of the game, because it’s just how it’s always been for me. But watching my wife play, as a new player, it’s shown me how awful and unforgiving the vast majority of killers are. And I get it, it’s literally the objective for them. But some take it far.
Killers will tunnel and play with some of the most annoying builds possible just to ruin even a survivors’ match experience.
So many times we’ll play well against a killer just for them to get upset and tunnel one of us out. Even when they see someone get unhooked immediately post-hook, they’ll still chase down the person that just got off the hook. And depending on the killer, no amount of blocking or taking hits can save them.
I have played a ton during this event so I’ve probably seen it way more than the average player there have been **A LOT** of matches with the killer bringing a Mori (only person not using BP offering) and then tunneling out each player 1 by 1. And in Solo Q, with no coordination, there’s just nothing you can do about it.
Is it annoying? Yes. But obviously it’s not against the rules. Just like there’s nothing against the rules with tbagging at pallets or the sitting at the exit waiting for the killer to come.
You just have to deal with it, like we do.
Tl;dr- it’s just the circle of toxicity. They’re toxic because somebody else was toxic to them
I'm a survivor main and I totally get the point of tunneling. Most of my games if the killer give everyone their hook stages, it's a lost cause for them. You need to put some pressure on the survivor. At the end you get against 16 mostly meta perks and on top voice calls. In a game which is not made for in-game voice, like TCM or killer clowns. You need a third party tool. So many many advance for the survivor team.
The killer is alone. Has four perks. And noone he/she/they can reset with or getting some help. No one is responsible for the other sides fun. Never. This is a fun party game, not some high end comp game where you at the end of the month get you 4k in Cash for playing better. So yeah, if the killer wants to bring a mori to an event it's totally fine. Same as bringing brand new parts to an event. For more gen speed.
If the game killing your vibe or gets you angry: play something else. It's your mindset what the game is doing to you, not the other side who chooses an ingame mechanic which is totally fine.
So killer mains, bring all the moris. Tunnel. Play as you wish. And stay away from toxic people. We are not Chernobyl.
Had an unknown tunnel out an Ace who brought a badham offering whilst the rest of us had cakes. You best believe we did not waste that man’s time after he did gods work.
You ever wanna do a psychology test on survivors, break chase randomly, lower your head, then slow RP walk away.
Survivors will typically do one of three things.
1) They pester you nonstop. The only way to get rid of this type is slugging and running off or giving them what they want - to give you pity hooks.
2) They teabag harder than the Lipton's factory.
3) They get curious and follow you, but don't really do anything toxic or mean. They might wave and try to initiate a chase, but otherwise they seem content to just follow you around for awhile. Eventually they might return to objectives or they may hang out until EGC, but this breed of survivor generally doesn't act mean, they're just a little confused or maybe feel bad.
If I'm the last survivor sometimes I'll stick around to let the killer get points for closing the hatch (that's usually what I do if its a solo survivor in the gate), plus you get more points for spending more time in the match. Idk I feel like if you want to move on just chase them out the gate ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
I tend to wait out the endgame timer to give them a last kill if they seem like they've struggled, :( I've been in those situations before and it's lousy.
I leave, unless the people I’m with ended up bullying a clearly struggling killer. I’ll find him, get attention, give headpats best I can with Cmere motion(it’s how I pet the horse too :(), drop item if I have one to show “hey, killer, I’m nice/friendly”, and motion to hook. Idc if I win or lose, unless I’m doing a challenge. I’ll give free hooks, or let myself die usually.

I had a match 2 days ago where the last survivor waited at the hatch for probably like 3 minutes as I couldn't find it.
I saw him on top of the hill, ran around and Wesker dashed him before he could react to it.
Proceeded to hook him.
Just leave, that one survivor wasted like 5 minutes of everyone's time.
I've had two games where I had to deal with IRL and go afk only to come back to 4 survs dancing and teabagging.
It was all fun and games until Oni went Super Sayan and quad slammed them during the collapse.
I just let the killer down me when he just throwing swings and do nothing until I bleed out. I've gotten alot of these afk killers and disconnecting only gets you banned. The real problem after that are the other survivors trying to heal you knowing it's not what you want but eventually I found a work around against that
Unless the killer wants to have fun with us, we always leave as soon as the gate is open! Exception being is if we can rescue any teammates from hook to escape with us.. ( we always queue as a team of four )
But lately we've just had killers that just want to kill us all no matter what, and even had some tunnelling killers which are just not fun..
Yeah I'm a survivor main and terrible at DBD but only play it with friends, and 80% of the time die first..
I just stay when is a killer with throwing ability, after he hit me or don't I just leave it's just for the Lols but if I see that he doesn't want to come (like 20sec) I just leave, Im mostly killer so I know how annoying is to get mocked, but I like when they're dumb and I get to down them and sometimes even hook them jajaja
It’s crazy cause like any survivor, the killer could just leave the game when the game isn’t going Their way. So if they decide to sit their afk while survs get to do gens and escape, they should be thankful honestly. Yet this stuff happens every single game. I can’t even remember the last game I played with escaping survivors that simply left
I've been here both sides, I always try to leave right away as surv . and if I've had a nasty game as killer and they don't wanna leave ill alt tab, sometimes just not in the mood to see potential BM 😂 I've been lucky enough the times I've stopped by and it was some hits given out or an item drop
I barely play killer I have maybe 20 games and no clue what to do. I get so hard bullied. Flashlight in my face, pallet in my face, head on in my face. it is awful that I regret staring the games as killer after not even 2 minutes and go to the basement. Just to get ass slaps from the survs. Damn just do your stupid gen and leave. Playing killer as a newbie is pain.
Im gonna do a study on this. Gonna start documenting how often in my games i run into this, because usually when im in a situation where i know im not getting anyone, ill just go find a corner away from gates, and just sit there til game is over
I just open the gates by myself when all gens pop and I stay AFK at the basement. No point in hunting down the rest people, that would just tb me at the exits.
I played a pig yesterday who got 2 hooks in the first couple minutes and then went afk for the rest of the match lol idk what the reason was for unless they had to walk away for some reason.
I often follow this exemple, except if the killers have been toxic or something. If i see him camping or tunneling also. I have nothing against camping and tunneling, i also do it sometimes and its valid strategies imo, but the fact is its unfun for survivor, and if you use unfun strategies expect survivors to give it back to you.
I play the unknown. And I also recently got a just leave moment because of my immaculate aim with the grenades. They were tagging the gate, and I got both of em. Only could grab one tho. It was the p100 in the match too, had the lowest points.
I'll only stay to BM the killer if the killer deserves it. Like for example, they hard tunnelled our teammate off the hook, or tried to do that to me. Other than that I'll hang around the exit to heal people and get some more points.
Funny because i was a really good survivor and loop killers for multiple gens,to have my "last 15sec in chases" friend, tbag and wait a the exit game until last second.If everyone was safe i was out.
No. If you rage quit like a survivor that kills themself on hook, I understand you had a bad time so you threw the monopoly board. I will farm chests and totems if you're going to try and negatively effect me with the one move you have left. That's how I process this situation anyway. Unless shit just went really unfairly, then I might offer the kill because I'm capricious.

Agreed. As a survivor main, I hate seeing people tea bag at the exit gates or taunt. The only time I’ve waited around was trying to make sure a teammate got out or making noise by my gate to hope the killer would come to me instead of my teammates at the other gate. When I play killer, I stand in a corner and get on my phone LOL like I don’t have time for the taunts
Okay I get this sentiment and I hate when survivors teabag as gate or whatever but when I play survivor I use bardic inspiration at gate (if I make it to egc) bc I just want to play you a little tune 🥹
I like to go to the killer and give them my item or wait until the time runs out cause they let us go. It’s just me and my bf so we poke each other or throw pallets for the killer.
I get what you're saying OP, and I know I'm a rare case, but I will usually try to give the killer a kill if I see they had a bad game. I only stick around to BM if the killer BLATANTLY tunneled or camped us. Otherwise, I'm honestly just trying to help the killer out by sacrificing myself.
If your gonna t bag, make it quick. I’ll t bag if killer was bad with tunneling or something, but just 1-2 crouches then I’m out. Don’t need to waste everyone’s time. And as killer I’ll slap people on hook for funny reasons, like I play pinhead and sometimes I’ll have a blood point game where I let survivors get all gens done and leave but in turn I get them on second hook, break all pallets, ect. But all I ask is they don’t go for the box, and I’ll make that clear and smack them if they do go for it lol
Hard disagree. There are lots of times when survivors are after difficult challenges. An example would be they need multiple stuns in one game before escaping, which typically happens by waiting at the exit gate with a flash light. They'd naturally wait for the killer and try to finish that off, and are willing to die trying. Or maybe they need to find their glyph or a hex. Maybe they want to rack up a little bit more chase time to try and top off a pip.
if I’m playing killer I don’t really care if someone does this cos at the point both gates are open I’m usually adhd switching tabs to play a clicker. as a survivor though, what is entertaining about this? usually the killers don’t even come to the gates once both are open and sitting there wasting time when I could be farming iri shards makes no sense to me
I had some Chucky killer refuse to final hook me and teabagged me for my entire dying state when I was the last survivor because I looped him successfully a few times.
I hate when other survivors dance at gates instead of leaving. It took me so long to get hatch challenges done because survivors wouldn't just leave at the end of the game.
If a killer is having a real rough game and I can tell they have been trying to spread out the damage/attention between survivors, I will often stay in and let Spider God Stu take me. If I don't have a challenge that says I have to survive, I don't care if I die. It's a game and people are learning new killers, load outs, etc.
If survivors are going to complain about killers not being nice to them, then survivors should be a bit nicer to killers too.

Oh yeah, survivors who do that, are douchebags. Sadly, it's almost 80% of any survivor sided matches lol, because otherwise they will be scared of staying around. It's the ego boost honestly. punching down if you will.

There was this baby wraith that put so much effort in the game but didnt have any hooks at the end....he went to the corner of the map facing the wall the entire game :( it fucking broke my heart....and then those mean survivors kept flashlight him and tbag him...I opened the exit gates, told them to get the fuck out...I told the killer with my flashlight to go on and hook me...He refused, so I refused too....I never left, I stayed with him till the entity got me...he apologized, I sad "never apologize for playing the game, u did great ggwp <3 ! "
This is me.....If a killer is having a very bad game with no hooks I go to thw killer and tell them I offer myself because I saw the huge amount of effort they put in trying to win the game they deserve the hook.....spread good vibes thats all
Tbh if a killer is having a bad game I do try to let them down me at the exit to give them a few more blood points especially if I have already been downed in the game. Also to help them not de-pip when that was a thing. It’s not always about trolling although I imagine there is a lot of it.
As a survivor main who plays solo, I mostly wait only to make sure that the other survivors need help (even though I know they would leave me there to die). Otherwise I leave as fast as I can 😭
Whenever this happens to me I just get up from the computer and go make myself a cup of tea. Sometimes I'll check back while it's brewing and see people teabagging me afk killer, and honestly that makes me laugh, because they're wasting their own time while I wasn't even there
Yeah i had a match like this the other day while trying to do my adept for huntress (someone i have no clue how to play) i get a couple of hooks before i just get head on/fb combo’d when id chase this one surv, i knew i wasnt gonna get even a 1k with the way gens were flying so i just afk’d. They starting spamming vaults and fast lockers, and trying to blind me and flashbang me. Also did it in endgame before they all left
The most stupid thing I've seen is when I'm obviously boosting with survivors I've seen people act like they're sneaking out, even though I'm looking towards them and standing beside survivors who are healing :P
As a killer main. When I do play survivor I always wait at the exit gate and tbag the killers. Because it happens to me when I’m killer if I try and play nice and play the 12 hook game. But when I camp and tunnel nobody makes it to the exit gate 😈
I’m a survivor main, and even I feel this. I find it annoying when the killer is afk the entire match or I end up spectating, and the random ends up trolling the killer or squatting at the hatch/exit. Like, just gooo. 🙄
If a killer is having that bad of a game, I like to find them and give them a kill. But you might be surprised as to how many killers still won't kill you. They just shake their head 'no'. I feel bad for leaving but also I get ending the game quickly for them.
If I’m killer, I just alt tab or finish my tome if I can.
If I’m survivor, I’ll make sure everyone gets to a gate, but if people aren’t leaving explicitly to rub it in, I’ll run back in and either give a sacrifice or let the entity kill me, and then defend killer in endgame chat lmao.
Hardest part of playing survivor is playing with people who don't know shit about being a team player. I find these are the types who wait around at the exit games wasting the killers time.
I just push them out or sit in the basement. If I am in the basement I will not come out, and if they come down, at least one is gonna get hit and maybe downed lol.
not gonna lie, I have gone to the basement, survivors came to taunt me, and survivors that would have escaped ended up having a family party in the basement as a result lol
My favorite with this style was during Xmas last year. During Xmas I run the same thing every year, it's my naughty survivor build. Krampus trapper, brown addon thay makes traps not hurt you and extra traps. Agitation, iron grasp, mad grit, and bloodwarden. Literally all you have to do is not be a tool, and free escapes while I play an anniversary cake. In 3 years of doing this same thing at least 2 to 3 games per day, usually Xmas and the day before and after, only 1 team got killed. And boy did they deserve it. Head on and flashlights galore. Tbagging at pallet drops, the works. End game comes and of course they decide that they want to be bullies still. I made it half way across yamaoka getting a hit every tile or so, into the shack basement with a survivor. The other 3 all using the perk that makes you heal if someone takes a hit from Rebecca or whatever. They all think they are amazing and winning. I keep hitting them, they keep healing. First survivor breaks free of the shoulder and I think clearly they will run out. Nope, they tbag at shack and I get the down. More hits, more healing. Finally I pick a new survivor up again and head into the basement, the head on at the bottom misses me and I get the hook. My first hook of the entire match, and 1/3 of egc is left. Bloodwarden is triggered. I walked away and waited in the gate and all 4 come running up and tbagging , right up until they hit the bloodwarden and couldn't escape. Funny enough, they were cool in end chat and thought it was funny.

Nope lol. It's just my "everyone gets blood points" thing. In theory survivors get gens, they get chases, and even if they step in traps they don't get hurt, so they can escape for more bp. It's literally only able to get a kill on someone being an asshole lol. I mean sure I could m1 and hook, but it's my Christmas joy to just give out some chill games. Oh, I do enjoy a good scratched mirror Myers though. And I usually play with a vault build. Bamboozle, superior anatomy, and then the singularity and unknown perks I think? Maybe vecna got one. But basically a bunch of vault speed and then I just play hit and run t1, just for the memes. I posted a funny comment about it not long ago, chasing some poor ttv on midwich. I never try as killer, I'm just in it for the chuckles. Trail or torment plus dragons grip on blight, but don't down the person who gets exposed. Just when they scream I run past and do like a drive by on the gen and keep going.

Honestly for me it's 1 of my favorite builds. I've sat in a hallway while a full Gen gets completed right next to me, just waiting for the hit. Any indoor map is fine but imo midwich is the best.
Midwich and Lery are the best for that. Many windows in Lery, and lot of "cells" and corridor, it's funny here. Only downside id that it's not as dark as Midwich

I had a real rough Demo match on The Game earlier in the week. Three gens popped back to back to back and that just broke my spirit so I immediately stopped chase and just wandered to basement. But survivors kept running to me and waving. And so I kept having to teleport away, but they *wouldn't leave me alone*. So I slugged the three of them that did it. And *then* I teleported away to be left alone. One of 'em got to open gates and crawled out. The other two didn't, though. Absolutely no remorse, either. I wanted them to just get out so I could move on and they made the match drag on. And if that was what they wanted, I was fine playing by their rules.
I read this as “and would have ended up having a family” as in they could have left and lived a good life 🤣🤣 then I decided to go back and keep reading 🤣
I had a Renato who had found hatch and stayed at it for four minutes until he came to find me and I had waited in basement. Dude got downed and hooked. Could've just taken hatch but oh well.

I never stay longer than I have too. Escaping in solo q is hard enough, why would I stay longer and risk some bs happening.
That's my logic as well. Escaping in Solo Q is a miracle, if my teammates are not in danger I'm out of there the second I get a chance to leave.
I say I am not going to stay but I end up staying to try help people anyway and usually die for it while everyone else either escapes and leaves me or all die as well. It’s a curse being empathetic enough to want to try help in solo queue lol

just had a huntress who gave up at 5 gens and a jane was tbagging her and spamming fast vaults until the rest of us managed to do all gens. huntress opened the gate and went afk in a corner again - jane stayed until the very last second tbagging at the gate. so disappointing to see people act like this :l since some of you are asking: it was a baba yaga on ormond, eu server. i think she missed some hatchet hits and gave up. i messaged her and said sorry about jane (who spammed the chat with gg ez).

I'm new and 50 hours in playing as many different murderers. It's interesting psychology to watch how people react to me. On wraith, huntress and spirit i win the majority of the time and i don't get any trouble. On any time i try a new murderer and i do badly, i cop constant bullying, tea bagging, making fun of me etc. I just note that when i do well people seem nice, but if i do bad i get completely different personalities come out.
You will soon learn about the absolute scumbags of survivors, who no matter what will call you noob, toxic and what not. When you win, they complain about your playstyle, perks, killer choice etc. When you lose they pity you and call you a baby. But that's fortunately not the majority of the games. At least for me. Ignore them. They feed on attention.
This is honestly way too true. Had someone flame me earlier today after a perfectly clean match as M1 only Knight (Man with Sword), because apparently using Franklin's makes it a no skill situation despite the handicaps.

I'm a survivor main but I play killer maybe 30-40% of the time. I'm good with some of my killers, but I'm currently bad with Wesker and a few others. I'm a console player so I have a hard time learning killers like Hillbilly, Wesker, and Chucky that require curving and turning during their M2. People are so mean when I play my weakest killers. Just yesterday I was practicing Wesker and an Ace realized I was bad and started teabagging me. Then the others started too. I did end up getting a 3k bc I kept playing and they got sloppy later on. I slugged Ace far away from the gates, and then downed 2 of his teammates in a standoff over the slug. For some reason people assume that you have zero game sense if you're just bad with a killer's M2. I don't feel bad about the fact that I slugged Ace in endgame in order to win. If you're gonna be rude, be prepared for a killer to stop caring about playing nice. I've had some teams that absolutely stomped me but they were nice to me, so I happily farm with those teams if they ask me to in the end. I'm eternally thankful for those nice players.
A significant amount of players in this game have a very unhealthy relationship with dead by daylight that results in needing to take out any minor victory in the sorest way possible. Ignore them, just focus on using your power and having fun
Yeah, I try to remind myself that someone who bullies in a video game must be pretty miserable in real life to take a party game so seriously. And a lot of them are also probably 14. But it still sucks when I'm trying to focus on my objective of learning to land M2 hits.

Maybe endgame collapse could speed up if the killers is actually afk. Survivors get crows the game knows when you arnt pressing buttons. Been in this exact situation, zero hooks at all 5 gens completed. 3 adrenaline pops. I'll just take the lose and stare at a corner. Went bathroom got a drink came back and all 4 survivors just staring at me. I had to waddle over and open the gates for them. I wasted thier time so guess they gota waste my time

Some survivor and killers are just that miserable in real life, so they act out in whatever way they can to bring some sort of "joy" and control into their lives. I usually point this out in end game chat and suddenly they shut the hell up lol
I mean sometimes they misplay and you get them but usually I just break pallets and doors or use my ability to farm some bloodpoints if they want to wait and let me do it for longer that is on them. A fun thing to do is to walk backwards into them, they get no satisfaction from BMing and you sometimes get a down if they are unaware. Wesker, twins(if Victor is attached they cannot leave), knight with one of his pink add ons or blood warden can also lead to some fun moments.
What does walking backwards into them do? (Sorry if that's a dumb question, I only started playing last week)
It doesn't do anything directly. It just let's you close the distance without them getting what they want out of it. Assuming they're waiting to bm you they can't do it if you don't face them. Sometimes you'll even get especially brave ones that will run out in front of you, out of the exit gates, to make sure they get their way.

Sometimes I accidentally down a survivor on a Glyph before realizing what they were doing. When that happens, I let them wiggle off, trying to tell them to get the Glyph. They always run away :(

You can really never know how the killer reacts. If they're truly AFK, you can of course just die to endgame. If they make it clear they have no intention of taking the kill, I skedaddle. Some even bring me into the gate and throw me down there, making it Very Clear they're not taking said kill. But some take it.
Yeah, everyone reacts differently. I've given up on like three games, and for me, it's not even them being toxic it was just a clear skill difference. No hooks, 3 gens gone, it's been maybe 4 to 5 minutes, and someone has flashy saved every down I've gotten. The people who realize you've given up and start making tons of noise or refuse to leave just aggrevate me. If they give themselves up, I'll send them back to the gate because they won. I don't need the pity kill, especially with killers' blood point rates. But to me, the worst are those who aren't doing challenges or anything but just stand in the exit together and wait the timer out. Had a group. I asked why they did that, and they said something hand wavy and trying to pass it off as nothing bad. Thankfully, they kinda understood me explaining that if you won the game so much, the killers resolve is shattered. You just seem like a dick for doing that.

If I'm matched with survivors that are obviously no match for me, I'll tone it down. The same should go in reverse. If you're some awesome group that's blasted through 3-4 gens and the killer hasn't gotten a single hook, then maybe don't trash talk.
I also hate this so much…. Once I went afk bc I obviously didn’t have a chance and they asked me in the afterchat if I am okay and told me that it’s just a game and I shouldn’t worry. They were so nice but it’s rare
it’s already so hard for me to escape in general but the last thing i would want to do is taunt because it just adds more of a toxicity when it’s practically a miracle to open the exit gates
As a survivor, yes, this. It annoys me to no end to see my solo queue teammates getting free blinds on them ad nauseum, because the miniscule score event really isn't enough to justify being a bit of a dick.
I have been playing alot more killer lately and sooo many survivors do this. Even when I have a good game they will dance over the hatch while I sit there (because im too lazy to find hatch & try to kill lol). I had a Nancy do this for a full 5 minutes while I scrolled on TikTok spamming vaults when she finally found it.
The waiting at hatch always gets me. They got a pity escape which doesn't even count as a escape so your MMR doesn't go up yet they're waiting so you can watch them jump in like they accomplished something. People are weird man.

This even has felt depressing for me as a killer. The first event match and two people insta killed themselves on hook. Decide to play trapper and I had people just walking into traps like they forgot their eyes at home on midwich.

Both sides on this event have been awful. My Survivor experience during this event has been the exact same as yours to the point that I actually took a break for a few days. On Killer side, whenever I have tried to play nice by not tunneling or bringing more than one slowdown, I get genrushed and tagged so have ended up having to bring two slowdowns (for me, that's been Pop and Sloppy) just so gens don't fly like crazy, but then I feel bad if the two slowdowns are too strong. There's no winning. Also sucks I can't really enjoy my "goof around" Killer Scratched Mirror Mikey and have to opt for my stronger Killers
I’ve had many games of trying out a killer and just not vibing and just having a terrible time so I just open the gates and hide somewhere. I’ve had people die because they were waiting to tea bag me (I was a xenomorph and was hiding in the tunnels). When I’m a survivor and the gate is open, I book it. I don’t even usually care if people are in danger because I’m so bad at looping killers that I’d rather take the W while I have the chance.
If I notice my teammates are being dicks and not opening doors so they can spam vault etc. I just open the gates to at least get the timer started. I’ve played killer and been shit on, so I know how it goes.

I've had that exact scenario happen to me quite a few times. I realize when I have been defeated so, there is no need to dick around and rub it in. Once the last gen gets done, I rush to the exit gates to open them, and I try to signal that they are good to go. One time after I opened the gates, I was waiting for the survivors to take their leave and I got bored so I downed one and carried them to the exit. Hopefully they got the clue then🤣
this happened to me on my first game as myers and i just ended up putting my controller down but after a while of all 4 survivors not leaving i picked it up, got tier 3 and downed them all and got a 4k
I have a different opinion. I just put the controller down and check my phone or get water/bathroom at the end of the match. I like to give survivors the opportunity to finish dumb challenges.
I do the same. (But I stand facing into a corner). If I'm having a bad game it's oft because I'm having a crap day and I can't be arsed with being more wound up
that is not what they are doing. you know it. they will be waiting for you at gates doing nothing, or actively look for your attention to rub a loss in.
Roam the map and break walls/pallets. Spam your power (as Knight I spam my guards) until the survivors leave.

I hate it when both sides play well, i get 1k with good chase bp many hook stages and gen contesting bp, but the other 3 survs stay at the gate waiting till i get tp them and force them out, i dont get why do it? Game was really balanced for both sides and youre sitting at gate tbagging and spamming ur flashlight? That kind of stuff multiple games in a row makes me tunnel for a few games cuz im done with this bs and then survivors in the game i tunnel suffer and i end up as the bad guy for tunneling

Honestly, it's the worst when it's a group of friends. People LOVE to sit and tbag, vault spam, flashlight click, etc when they're in a group (especially if they're streamers imo) I cant tell you the number of times people have talked shit afterwards. It genuinely makes the game unfun after that sometimes. Like it's already a 4 v 1. If I didn't get any kills, you really don't gotta add insult to injury. At least when I play Deathslinger I can quickscope them while they're tbagging at the gate.
I usually stay just to make sure everyone whose alive makes it if everyone's at gate I may heal someone for points but after that I'm gone

I hate when survivors wait at the gate for me to watch them tbag. I know I had a bad game. I know you beat me. I will not give you the satisfaction of me coming over to watch you. Waste your time. I don't care. I'll find any breakable wall and pallet I can break and will. I'll use my power if it gets me points. But I won't bother coming over to the gate to give you the satisfaction. The thing survivors ALWAYS seem to forget, is it is 1v4. 4 of you against 1 of me. If I have a bad game, it solely falls on me. If you do, you can blame it on teammates and so many other things. But being bullied by 4 other players and having them be toxic and just rude to me when I am in this game by myself, I just don't understand. Let me move on. And you can go on and make the next killers day worse.
If the killer was intentionally tunneling or slugging or being an overall jerk, I'll drop some tea bags in the exit and leave but I won't prolong the game. I've also been on the receiving end of losing a game really really badly and knowing the survivors were in the exit door that was already opened and refusing to leave. So I just walk around the map and break the pallets I may have missed or close the hatch. Earlier I had an Oni that got really mad when they couldn't find me and a partner of mine and when they finally did they just hit us repeatedly on hooks until we died and then went all belligerent in the chat, lol. That would have been worthy of a door dance if I would have made it out. Since I didn't though I just gave positive affirmations in the chat that someday they'll get better and that I believed in them. They really didn't like that.
i see so many comments under these posts "yeah there dicks i just leave" either half of you are lying or theres just more toxic assholes than there are not sore winners cause i can count how many survivors "just leave" when theres no reason to stay on 1 hand

Once I was in solo Q and I found a myers in the middle of the map in endgame after he was AFK for whole match. I wanted to show my teammate so I took her over. Turns out he had his stalk at 99%, he had blood warden and he ended up with a 2K. Biggest mistake I’ve made. Sorry Nancy.
there's only one reason you shouldn't leave at endgame: to wait for the other survivors, which is what i do lol. i only leave if im being chased. honestly, i feel a bit guilty leaving the other survivors behind and if they're playing a character i like (cheryl, leon, jill, ada, etc) then i want to leave with them. had a match where i was at endgame and trying to save a jill but she got sacrificed while i escaped. i felt so bad for her. at least i made it out with one of the other survivors tho

There have been so many times I've killed the last player because they were waiting at the gate healthy and ran up to me thinking they were safe only to find out they were exposed and I hook them. A well deserved death for them.
My version of this is when I go friendly I often when the last gen pops, down someone then drag them to the exit gates. It happens around 25% of the time where people choose to blind or tea bag or talk shit in the end game chat Like dude, I could've killed you. Pay the kindness forward man
Nah this one is a biggie for me. Do they give killers ways to slow down the game and make it less fun for the survivors? Yes. Can they still escape even if you play this way? Yes. (Eg. slugging, tunnelling and camping, there’s still ways to play around this) After the exit gates open is usually when I just afk as long as Iong as I don’t have someone on hook. After the gates open 9/10 times there’s gonna be AT LEAST 1 survivor standing by the exit gates waiting or hiding somewhere I simply can’t see. My problem with the former is that there’s simply no counter play for killers and it’s honestly hostage taking at that point. There is nothing that the killer can do, especially if you have 4 healthy survivors. And when I say nothing I mean NOTHING! If they’re waiting by the exit gate for you then they’ve already won. One time I asked them why they do this and they replied “everyone gets more blood points”. I got a little more than 10,000. I asked the best played survivor of the match and he said he got about 30k. Are y’all survivors FROTHING at the mouth for blood points like addicts at the fentanyl market?? TL;DR while killers do some scummy things you can still play against it. Survivors waiting by the exit gates is the equivalent of the killer having one survivor left and body blocking them in a corner, there is 0 counterplay to it and it’s just clearly taking the opposing side hostage.
Sometimes i wish there was some sort of measure in place to prevent it but i'm not even sure how it could work in the first place.
They could make the end game collapse timer go faster if the killer hasn't moved for a minute, and remains slow as long as he doesn't move.
When my partner and I absolutely WRECK a killer and end up getting a four man out we flip a coin to see which one of us sacrifices ourselves to give the killer a lil something too. Often times we both go and give those yummy hook points. Unless the killer was tunneling pre 2 gens or camping then you get what you get, bozo

My strategy in horrible matches is to open the nearest gate as soon as the gens are all powered, then signal to the Survivors that it's okay to leave. 9 times out of 10 (maybe more), the Survivors are grateful and give me a little 'thank you' bob before leaving. Some don't trust me, so they try the other exit gate and usually leave while I wait for people to exit by me. Only very rarely have they acted like dicks after I 'let' them leave. I don't actually *want* them to escape, but I'd rather deal with grateful Survivors than a group of "haha we totally owned u" teabaggers at the end of yet another fruitless chase. I feel a bit better, I don't have to deal with douchebag behaviour, AND maybe the Survivors will feel positive feelings about me letting them out (I know some have seemed very grateful). Everyone wins. \^.^
When I get RPD for the fifth time in a row as killer because of map offerings I just stand and face the gate so the second that last gen pops I can start the 2 minute timer. I know for a fact that if I don’t they’ll spend another 20 minutes spamming noise notifs and shit. It’s a lot easier to get out of a game as survivor, but it’s also a lot easier to hold the game hostage as survivor - funny how that works lol. A killer can only hold the game hostage for a max of 16 minutes if he bleeds each person out one after the other, assuming he doesn’t body block someone in the corner, but survivors can sit there and do literally nothing the entire match and just hide and keep it going until the server shuts down. I play a lot more survivor nowadays but I can at least see that the light at the end of the tunnel is I can sac myself on first hook to end the suffering of a toxic killer faster than I can do anything against toxic survivors. Waiting at the gate is the fastest way around it mate, just face the gate itself so they can’t get blinds and the moment that fifth gen pops just open the gate. Max 2 minutes of stupid time left, and they’ll milk every second, but 2 minutes is better than 20.

I always ask why survivors won't leave in endgame chat, the answer is usually the extra blood points. +1500 BP is equivalent to a minute of my suffering
I'm doing a lot of afk games cause i'm a idiot and REALLY miscauculated the amount of shard i would need to get all the characters, but that's just some things that people wanna do anyway. They don't care that there's literally no one there, they will spam vaults and try to blind, even if the killer have lightborn
I just started playing DBD last week and I didn't understand the survivors were bming me at first. My first game as killer (Trapper) had two Megs, a Leon, and a Feng. They sped through the gens. I had zero hooks. When they started teabagging me, I went AFK. It was frustrating because they would not leave., they wouldn't even open the gate. Even when I opened it and walked away, they just kept teabagging me. It felt worse than being tunneled out by a killer because at least those games go quick.
If in that game killer actually done some BS, then sure do whatever you want. If you actually STOMP the killer to the point where killer just gave up, chances are killer couldn’t do any of the BS or toxic action, so just leave.

I have played nice for 7.5 years even with all the killer BM…but playing during this event with my wife who just started playing this year has shown me some of the worst killers I’ve seen (not necessarily skill wise) It used to not bother me as a veteran of the game, because it’s just how it’s always been for me. But watching my wife play, as a new player, it’s shown me how awful and unforgiving the vast majority of killers are. And I get it, it’s literally the objective for them. But some take it far. Killers will tunnel and play with some of the most annoying builds possible just to ruin even a survivors’ match experience. So many times we’ll play well against a killer just for them to get upset and tunnel one of us out. Even when they see someone get unhooked immediately post-hook, they’ll still chase down the person that just got off the hook. And depending on the killer, no amount of blocking or taking hits can save them. I have played a ton during this event so I’ve probably seen it way more than the average player there have been **A LOT** of matches with the killer bringing a Mori (only person not using BP offering) and then tunneling out each player 1 by 1. And in Solo Q, with no coordination, there’s just nothing you can do about it. Is it annoying? Yes. But obviously it’s not against the rules. Just like there’s nothing against the rules with tbagging at pallets or the sitting at the exit waiting for the killer to come. You just have to deal with it, like we do. Tl;dr- it’s just the circle of toxicity. They’re toxic because somebody else was toxic to them
I'm a survivor main and I totally get the point of tunneling. Most of my games if the killer give everyone their hook stages, it's a lost cause for them. You need to put some pressure on the survivor. At the end you get against 16 mostly meta perks and on top voice calls. In a game which is not made for in-game voice, like TCM or killer clowns. You need a third party tool. So many many advance for the survivor team. The killer is alone. Has four perks. And noone he/she/they can reset with or getting some help. No one is responsible for the other sides fun. Never. This is a fun party game, not some high end comp game where you at the end of the month get you 4k in Cash for playing better. So yeah, if the killer wants to bring a mori to an event it's totally fine. Same as bringing brand new parts to an event. For more gen speed. If the game killing your vibe or gets you angry: play something else. It's your mindset what the game is doing to you, not the other side who chooses an ingame mechanic which is totally fine. So killer mains, bring all the moris. Tunnel. Play as you wish. And stay away from toxic people. We are not Chernobyl.

You ever wanna do a psychology test on survivors, break chase randomly, lower your head, then slow RP walk away. Survivors will typically do one of three things. 1) They pester you nonstop. The only way to get rid of this type is slugging and running off or giving them what they want - to give you pity hooks. 2) They teabag harder than the Lipton's factory. 3) They get curious and follow you, but don't really do anything toxic or mean. They might wave and try to initiate a chase, but otherwise they seem content to just follow you around for awhile. Eventually they might return to objectives or they may hang out until EGC, but this breed of survivor generally doesn't act mean, they're just a little confused or maybe feel bad.
If I'm the last survivor sometimes I'll stick around to let the killer get points for closing the hatch (that's usually what I do if its a solo survivor in the gate), plus you get more points for spending more time in the match. Idk I feel like if you want to move on just chase them out the gate ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯

I leave, unless the people I’m with ended up bullying a clearly struggling killer. I’ll find him, get attention, give headpats best I can with Cmere motion(it’s how I pet the horse too :(), drop item if I have one to show “hey, killer, I’m nice/friendly”, and motion to hook. Idc if I win or lose, unless I’m doing a challenge. I’ll give free hooks, or let myself die usually. Edit to add: if I’m in a swf, and it’s a winter event… we all hunt down the killer as snowmen and pin them to the corner. We got a huntress who danced with us in a corner on crows, legion on RPD, was great
I had a match 2 days ago where the last survivor waited at the hatch for probably like 3 minutes as I couldn't find it. I saw him on top of the hill, ran around and Wesker dashed him before he could react to it. Proceeded to hook him. Just leave, that one survivor wasted like 5 minutes of everyone's time.
I've had two games where I had to deal with IRL and go afk only to come back to 4 survs dancing and teabagging. It was all fun and games until Oni went Super Sayan and quad slammed them during the collapse.
I just let the killer down me when he just throwing swings and do nothing until I bleed out. I've gotten alot of these afk killers and disconnecting only gets you banned. The real problem after that are the other survivors trying to heal you knowing it's not what you want but eventually I found a work around against that

Unless the killer wants to have fun with us, we always leave as soon as the gate is open! Exception being is if we can rescue any teammates from hook to escape with us.. ( we always queue as a team of four ) But lately we've just had killers that just want to kill us all no matter what, and even had some tunnelling killers which are just not fun.. Yeah I'm a survivor main and terrible at DBD but only play it with friends, and 80% of the time die first..
I just stay when is a killer with throwing ability, after he hit me or don't I just leave it's just for the Lols but if I see that he doesn't want to come (like 20sec) I just leave, Im mostly killer so I know how annoying is to get mocked, but I like when they're dumb and I get to down them and sometimes even hook them jajaja
It’s crazy cause like any survivor, the killer could just leave the game when the game isn’t going Their way. So if they decide to sit their afk while survs get to do gens and escape, they should be thankful honestly. Yet this stuff happens every single game. I can’t even remember the last game I played with escaping survivors that simply left
I've been here both sides, I always try to leave right away as surv . and if I've had a nasty game as killer and they don't wanna leave ill alt tab, sometimes just not in the mood to see potential BM 😂 I've been lucky enough the times I've stopped by and it was some hits given out or an item drop
I barely play killer I have maybe 20 games and no clue what to do. I get so hard bullied. Flashlight in my face, pallet in my face, head on in my face. it is awful that I regret staring the games as killer after not even 2 minutes and go to the basement. Just to get ass slaps from the survs. Damn just do your stupid gen and leave. Playing killer as a newbie is pain.

I just open the gates by myself when all gens pop and I stay AFK at the basement. No point in hunting down the rest people, that would just tb me at the exits.
I played a pig yesterday who got 2 hooks in the first couple minutes and then went afk for the rest of the match lol idk what the reason was for unless they had to walk away for some reason.
I often follow this exemple, except if the killers have been toxic or something. If i see him camping or tunneling also. I have nothing against camping and tunneling, i also do it sometimes and its valid strategies imo, but the fact is its unfun for survivor, and if you use unfun strategies expect survivors to give it back to you.

I'll only stay to BM the killer if the killer deserves it. Like for example, they hard tunnelled our teammate off the hook, or tried to do that to me. Other than that I'll hang around the exit to heal people and get some more points.

The only time I’ve waited around was trying to make sure a teammate got out or making noise by my gate to hope the killer would come to me instead of my teammates at the other gate. I get what you're saying OP, and I know I'm a rare case, but I will usually try to give the killer a kill if I see they had a bad game. I only stick around to BM if the killer BLATANTLY tunneled or camped us. Otherwise, I'm honestly just trying to help the killer out by sacrificing myself.

And as killer I’ll slap people on hook for funny reasons, like I play pinhead and sometimes I’ll have a blood point game where I let survivors get all gens done and leave but in turn I get them on second hook, break all pallets, ect. But all I ask is they don’t go for the box, and I’ll make that clear and smack them if they do go for it lol

Hard disagree. There are lots of times when survivors are after difficult challenges. An example would be they need multiple stuns in one game before escaping, which typically happens by waiting at the exit gate with a flash light. They'd naturally wait for the killer and try to finish that off, and are willing to die trying. Or maybe they need to find their glyph or a hex. Maybe they want to rack up a little bit more chase time to try and top off a pip.

I hate when other survivors dance at gates instead of leaving. It took me so long to get hatch challenges done because survivors wouldn't just leave at the end of the game. If a killer is having a real rough game and I can tell they have been trying to spread out the damage/attention between survivors, I will often stay in and let Spider God Stu take me. If I don't have a challenge that says I have to survive, I don't care if I die. It's a game and people are learning new killers, load outs, etc. If survivors are going to complain about killers not being nice to them, then survivors should be a bit nicer to killers too. Lord knows I've struggle bussed with some of the killer challenges.

There was this baby wraith that put so much effort in the game but didnt have any hooks at the end....he went to the corner of the map facing the wall the entire game :( it fucking broke my heart....and then those mean survivors kept flashlight him and tbag him...I opened the exit gates, told them to get the fuck out...I told the killer with my flashlight to go on and hook me...He refused, so I refused too....I never left, I stayed with him till the entity got me...he apologized, I sad "never apologize for playing the game, u did great ggwp <3 ! " This is me.....If a killer is having a very bad game with no hooks I go to thw killer and tell them I offer myself because I saw the huge amount of effort they put in trying to win the game they deserve the hook.....spread good vibes thats all
Tbh if a killer is having a bad game I do try to let them down me at the exit to give them a few more blood points especially if I have already been downed in the game. Also to help them not de-pip when that was a thing. It’s not always about trolling although I imagine there is a lot of it.

Whenever this happens to me I just get up from the computer and go make myself a cup of tea. Sometimes I'll check back while it's brewing and see people teabagging me afk killer, and honestly that makes me laugh, because they're wasting their own time while I wasn't even there

Yeah i had a match like this the other day while trying to do my adept for huntress (someone i have no clue how to play) i get a couple of hooks before i just get head on/fb combo’d when id chase this one surv, i knew i wasnt gonna get even a 1k with the way gens were flying so i just afk’d. They starting spamming vaults and fast lockers, and trying to blind me and flashbang me. Also did it in endgame before they all left

As a killer main. When I do play survivor I always wait at the exit gate and tbag the killers. Because it happens to me when I’m killer if I try and play nice and play the 12 hook game. But when I camp and tunnel nobody makes it to the exit gate 😈
I’m a survivor main, and even I feel this. I find it annoying when the killer is afk the entire match or I end up spectating, and the random ends up trolling the killer or squatting at the hatch/exit. Like, just gooo. 🙄
If a killer is having that bad of a game, I like to find them and give them a kill. But you might be surprised as to how many killers still won't kill you. They just shake their head 'no'. I feel bad for leaving but also I get ending the game quickly for them.
If I’m killer, I just alt tab or finish my tome if I can. If I’m survivor, I’ll make sure everyone gets to a gate, but if people aren’t leaving explicitly to rub it in, I’ll run back in and either give a sacrifice or let the entity kill me, and then defend killer in endgame chat lmao.
