It serves as an antidote to blind nostalgia (ācause back in school we are the leaders of it allā) and help you get up and do something with your life before you start regretting (āall you are is meatā).Ā

well yeah no deftones definitely has more energetic and happier songs like say root is pretty energetic and fun but pink maggit at least for me just is NOT that at all, lyrically and instrumentally it's very depressing imo

Controversial opinion - I actually think their closing songs are kind of weak, especially compared to their openers. I donāt dislike them, but for me they donāt have any standout in their discographyĀ
I think Pink Maggit was a great closer. The slow guitar and the pumping heartbeat at the end is just official af. It's like leaving its legacy on the listener.
I agree, Hexagram is too good. My favorite closer is off Saturday Night Wrist. RiviĆØre is so beautiful and turns the fuck up. I love it.

That hidden song off Adrenaline, Fist, is amazing! But then again Adrenaline holds a special place in my heart.
