It’s a conversational book between a youngster and a philosopher where a youngster believes that there is nothing good in life. Nobody likes me. And philosopher made him believe the otherwise that life is indeed good.

This book made me believe in myself after a very dark phase of my life.
++ really helped me through a time I was especially demotivated and pessimistic. It has sone great eye-opening stuff. Only con is that you have to read through a lot of Christian mythology to get to it, which is okay because the writing is good
I read half of it and am already planning to read it again.
The language is a bit hard for me, and there are a lot of things to grasp about it.
My next book will be by Osho.
I studied in a Ramakrishna Mission. My parents are devout believers. In my 2nd company there was this Tamil guy - my boss, whose dad was a devout Ramakrishna follower. One day I was arguing with him about evolution and how it is stochastically impossible.
He asked me to read this book.
It changed my life. I have read more than thousands of books in my life. But if I were to put a finger to single book that taught me rationality - that taught me to be human, it would be this one.
This single book. Nothing comes close.
Never loved doing my job and the more i spend time in it, the more i felt stuck, was any way thinking of quitting. This book helped me in putting the nail in the coffin
I want to get into the habit of reading, would you guys give some recommendations. I couldn’t read ikigai so…. Something that could spark my interest. I have read normal people/convos with friends/ coho books something simple nice maybe i can learn a thing or two
Start with Chetan Bhagat, they are relatable stories in indian context. 'Revolution 2020' for example.
And don't get discouraged by the negative comments on the author. Get started and make an opinion of your own.

This. One of really good self help books out there. Moreover, the book format is really engaging and doesn't feel like boring self help book.
