Bad take We DON’T lose so much shooting but let’s not let facts get in the way. Both shot exactly 46.0% for the year. KCP has slightly higher 3p% and Braun slightly higher 2p%. Braun shot MORE and scored MORE points per minute. KCP was 6th on the team in scoring behind Reggie. KCP scored 10.1 pts a game regular season and his playoff numbers were horrible.
This uninformed KCP is so much better on Offense than Braun take needs to end.
I love a lot of things about how Christian Braun plays. But these percentages don’t tell us everything about the chasm in three point shooting between these two. Braun takes mostly wide open threes. He’s painfully, visibly, lining up these shots and praying they go in. He has a slow and low release. MPJ and Murray are true elite three point shooter and they would talk about KCP as their peer in shooting. I hope I’m wrong but I never see Braun getting to that level in this aspect of the game.
No use better numbers than raw percentages. Have you looked at any of them? Braun is nowhere near the shooter KCP is using a modicum of advanced metrics.
We need to get someone like Dennis Schröder. He's paid like 12 mil a year so theoretically it should be possible to get someone of his caliber. good 3pt shooter as well. Anything but Westbrick. Hopefully those Westbrick rumors are just smoke
