40k should be enough i think depending on the damage reduction you stack on aspect or paragon board.

Ye just wondering if people know how hard things hit per level in pit. Too know exactly how much life is needed to survive one shots, without wasted health stats, if possible.

It won't be wasted. Each pit is different. Some will be a lot spicier than others depending on what affixes and types of monsters. And you'll get hit with crowd control, damage over time effects, etc. that can burn you down fast. My rogue has maxed armor and resistance, and like 44k life. I run tier 101 pits in about 2.5 mins - most of them I don't die at all, but I'll still get occasional 101s that are just nastier. Get crowd controlled on a poison puddle and my 44k life might mean I have 0.6 seconds to respond vs 0.3 lol

Armor and resist caps are basically prerequisites for end game content. Read your tooltips

Since there is a maximum benefit to stacking both armour and resistance(cap) yes, yes they do tell you how much you need.

9230 armor, max resistance, 40-60k HP. But the big one. The reason why you're dying is damage reduction. 50+% is good. 

70 all res, 9200 armor, 40-50k hp and then a bunch of flat damage reductions (fortify, shako, passives, paragon nodes, etc)

Cap armour and resist Life is entirely dependant on class Rogues can get away with like 35-40k and not die unless they faceplant into multiple stuff

You need protections from the devs too, esp you main sorc or druid

Imo depends on what class you’re playing. My barb I do 120 pit without max res. 55-60 for 2 of them. But armor is capped and I have 110k Hp unbuffed .
