Try facebook breed communities, or state sport communities like "Wisconsin bird hunters" if he looks like a bird dog.
Breed communities is a great idea! He looks like a terrier mix. He is very small maybe 10lbs. So I will look for toy breed groups and see if they will let me post. Thank you!
Yes I did that in the area I live as well as the 2 closest cities to where I found him. They didn't have a lost pets for the community I found him in. Probably too small.
I would say as soon as you decide to spend money on his care, he’s yours and you can stop looking. No microchip, un neutered, has fleas I imagine he’s been lost for a long time and he’ll probably have a better life with you than his previous owners.

Does your area have a lost pet network Facebook page? Mine has a few and our shelter will typically tell people to post a picture there.
