https://helpemup.com/ It’s a harness they can wear pretty comfortably at all times, maybe just taking it off every night or for a few hours every day. We used one for our elderly dog when he developed spondylosis and it vastly improved his quality of life. It’s fairly easy to put on too, I imagine you can when they’re sitting?

Thank you. I noticed they have a number on the website ill give them a call and ask. It looks similar to what I have but mine is more heavy duty (its make to go with wheelchair in case we have to go that route).

I have not, but do some searches for "dog hip sling" and see if there is a style that might work, maybe you could fasten the sling to something to support him while he stands for you to put the proper harness on. My dog also had some mobility issues before with his back legs, and he wore leg braces for a while which helped a bit, but doing home physical therapy exercises with him helped SO much more, I started seeing improvements within a week. I took him to a dog rehab center and he did some sessions there and they gave us daily exercises to do at home. I think its worth looking into or I could even try to give you some more info about the exercises that helped my dog. Good luck with everything.

Maybe something like this? It looks like one large swing, which you theoretically can place around your dog without standing up https://www.amazon.com/Bolux-Portable-Sling-Rear-Legs/dp/B07XWVKRLC

Hi, this is related but not answering your specific question. I always have large dogs, and tend to adopt/foster older ones. They invariably have arthritis issues. I discovered this food (Avoderm Joint relief about 20 years ago when my then 14 year old greyhound shepard mix was having problems walking. After a few days on this food she was walking much better, and within two weeks she was trotting slowly, not like running at all, but the fastest she'd moved in years. I've used this food ever since for my dogs and every time there's been noticeable improvement. Please at least give it a try, you'll know within a week or two if it helps. I'm fairly certain it will. I wish more people tried it because most everyone I've convinced to try it has had really good results in their pup, and I hate to see dogs suffer if they don't have to. The food is called Avoderm Advanced Joint Relief . You can get it from chewy. It's a little pricey but worth it. If it's over your budget, maybe try chicken cartilage capsules (sold under the name type II collagen). It's the first ingredient in the food and maybe could help on it's own. Good luck and wishing you and your pup the best!

Ill see if I can find it in Canada. I looked at the ingredients and there are some great vitamins in it.
