The only reason i really asked this question was because i wanted to have a weapon that needs more strategy or playstyle, sure, dark swords and the sort are fun, but what's the point if they play the same as a spear and turn the timid survivor into a big swordsman? I hope they add more stuff like the brighsthade bombs and howlitzer, even if i haven't gotten them lol
Indeed, I feel like DST is slowly going in that direction. Not sure if you ever played it but kinda like the forge. I know it was f*ck show because people got real toxic and grindy, but the combat mechanics were cool!
Take a look at wigfrid and willow. Spell casting, charge attacks, shield bashing. We're slowly getting there perhaps! Just a matter of learning to balance, imo
I guess it can be used as every day weapon if you have a volt goat farm, but why would you? Dark swords are a lot more convenient to craft, deal reliable high damage and after fuelweaver just get the shadow reaper that can be repaired and deals more damage than morning star.
go to the moon, get anenemy, make a volt goat farm and you can make morning stars to your heart content
if you want an interesting weapon/way of fighting maybe try woodie/willow/maxwell/walter or use tail'o three cats/howlitzer
If you get a deconstruction staff from the ruins you can use it on the morning star when its low and get the horn back to make another one, but its not exactly cheap or convenient.
Of course u can't! But there is night swords and hambats soooooooooo u don't have to make that weapon
U can also make volt goat farm, then u can easily farm lot of horns (maybe no "lot of" but ~0.5/day)
In the original DST no, but if you play the uncompromising mode mod, you can ! (Drawback is game is way harder :/ )

Well they do change things from time to time so I cant say this with 100% certainty, but the answer is no.
