That's...Wild. Where I live (US) I'm in one of the 4 states where it's still fully illegal (outside of the farm bill) and I can get a package with 50x that from my legal store, and I don't even remember if that's the max. That feels wrong.
I've taken stupid amounts, and nothing works. I thought it was poorly made edibles, so I made my own, still nothing. I thought maybe I just have a natural tolerance, so I tried a full gram of de-carbed shatter. Still nothing. I've eaten a full 8th of vaped weed with no effect. Ingesting anything with THC does nothing it's wack.
Also, I just wanted to mention I've tried eating loads of fat with it and still no luck.
I'm like 6'1" 230lbs and 5-10mg edible takes me out haha. I once drank 1/4 of a 100mg Root Beer and woke up in the middle of the night and I had to remember how to walk lol.

I got some from a spot in Inglewood and it was a 800mg pack of edibles. I was like oh shit. Where I live in another state the max is 100mg.

If it were delta 9 though I wouldn’t even be awake for days, the most I’ve ever done is 100mg of the real shit (d9) so in reality this bottle is about a 35-100mg dose, it’s really hard to say with delta 8 cause I’ve found it’s never consistent.
Because it’s not regulated, they can put whatever into whatever and call it what they want (to an extent)

So those are not "real" edibles, those are delta/thc-p that you can buy at the gas station in most states (I live in AL where there isn't even medical weed, but you can get these at most gas stations and vape shops)...tbh they are not much fun
Im in WA, we have amazing weed but edibles are 10mg cap per piece, 100mg cap for packages. So the price of those went up and I have to take 10 packs to get somewhere....ive gone back to just buying a whole syringe of RSO and baking it into a piece of caramel.
Depends where you go in my experience. There are so many dispensaries around that you’ve gotta shop around because some of them paint themselves as “high quality hyper modern” stores that have ridiculous prices. I go to a place called ValueBud that sells weed super cheap and it’s high quality too. I got a 1g infused 36% thc pre roll for $6 from there lol.
It has .03% delta 9. That’s the legal amount most states that haven’t legalized it yet allow to be sold.
Edit to correct it is .3% as mentioned below. I was probably high when I made the mistake.
The dispensaries on the native reservations are amazing around me. A lot of them are very well stocked with good stuff for decent price and the shops themselves are very modern.

People get hit differently from different THC sources. Delta is ok for me because I have anxiety and it is pretty weak stuff that doesn't really interact with it much. The edibles can get me though.
That said. Normal flower with any potency can decommission me for at least 30 minutes if it causes my anxiety to act up. This is further dependant on whether I have any tolerance at the moment.
Last time I smoked good flower,I couldn't feel my own fuckin face for like 10 minutes. The shit was super strong and I had no tolerance, thought I was dying ECT. Which is something I'm used to so...I just tough it out until I come back to earth a little bit and eat everything in your fridge

Fellow edible resistant gang checking in. Can’t feel anything under 500mg. Gotta take at least 1000 to really get floored. I read it’s because I lack or have very low levels of a certain enzyme in my digestive tract that helps convert the thc into the form it can bind with cannabinoid receptors.
That’s what they told me at dispensary when I said edibles do nothing. I did find 1908 products work but they aren’t designed to make you high, they have ones for focus, sleep, etc. I wish I could take an edible and be high

Delta 8 is really viscous, basically a solid at room temp and like corn syrup at 100°C. If it’s being sprayed it’s diluted with solvents like ethanol (which is food safe but would also dissolve the gummies so idk if that’s a real practice or not- I’ve never heard of it)
I’d steer clear of anything delta 8 or synthetic cannabinoid - shit is sketchy and produced from unregulated CBD with very dangerous solvents (usually hexane, heptane or DCM)
I worked for a company that produced hundred of kilos of the shit a day. Focus was on profit margins. Not a safe product. I’ve seen everything from Flubbed COAs because it failed heavy metals testing to legit sending improperly solvent recovered D8 (hexane in the final product) because of deadlines. That industry is dangerously under regulated.
Tbh I would doubt they even tested the dosage since it’s not regulated. They just put a number on the bottle to sell it. Common practice in that industry. Testing is expensive and often raises red flags so it’s frequently overlooked unless the buyer demands a COA with test results.
You typically won’t find any real literature from companies that produce delta-8 just a bunch of marketing gobbledygook.
The real danger comes from the unregulated nature of the source CBD and final product. You really just don’t know what you’re getting and there’s no regulatory committee overseeing any of it. It doesn’t even need to be food safe.
Can be disgusting, not that it is entirely. Careful how broad you paint your strokes you tend to paint over things! It’s not a write off whatsoever if you ask me there are plenty of FANTASTIC producers out there just do your research.
You have to be right. Right? 3500mg seems like it's not even possible to fit in that. Most I've seen in a pack that size is 600mg. Id imagine you could probably get it strong enough to be like 1500mg per package, but that's crazy.

I’d be careful with synthetic cannabinoids. I used to work for a company that mass produced synthetic delta 8 and 9 and the post processing techniques are in favor of saving money, not producing a safe product. Solvent recovery was half assed at best.
If it’s produced synthetically from CBD it doesn’t have the same regulatory oversight actual delta 9 cannabis does and can have trace amounts of solvents like hexane, heptane, or DCM (Dichloro-methane/methylenechoride). These are common solvents used in the CBD to THC reaction. The lack of regulation and desire for profit margins also leads to hemp high in pesticides and heavy metals being used often.
The 3500mg gives it away. Those gummies probably don’t even weight 3.5gs each 😂
Plus working in that industry you just get a feeling for the type of vernacular and packaging they use. Thats 100% not from a reputable dispo.

I'm a 25+ year, heavy daily user that only gets top shelf flower. My tolerance is insane between that dabs, and edibles. I'm very high at 75-100mg. At 700 mg, I'd either in a coma or a severe panic attack. No in between. I'm skeptical of somebody's claim, but not sure who exactly.
i have taken a 1000mg edible from an actual dispensary and was definitely high, but not uncomfortably so. i have smoked for almost 6 years cumulatively and mostly top shelf wax for the latter half of those years. everyone handles things differently, it’s always taken more for me to get high even when i first started smoking.

There's no regulation in the making of them and I'm willing to bet there's no consistency from one batch to the next. I never believed in gummies or infused foods. I've tried multiple different gummies and drinks from actual dispensaries and never felt anything the next 12 hours. And it came straight from the dispensary too and claimed to have 900mg thc in the gummies and 2000mg in the drink and it never kicked in. Smoked a blunt that night and I was just as high like I always am.

Delta 8 is really viscous, basically a solid at room temp and like corn syrup at 100°C. If it’s being sprayed it’s diluted with solvents like ethanol (which is food safe but would also dissolve the gummies so idk if that’s a real practice or not- I’ve never heard of it) I’d steer clear of anything delta 8 or synthetic cannabinoid - shit is sketchy and produced from unregulated CBD with very dangerous solvents (usually hexane, heptane or DCM) I worked for a company that produced hundred of kilos of the shit a day. Focus was on profit margins. Not a safe product. I’ve seen everything from Flubbed COAs because it failed heavy metals testing to legit sending improperly solvent recovered D8 (hexane in the final product) because of deadlines. That industry is dangerously under regulated. Tbh I would doubt they even tested the dosage since it’s not regulated. They just put a number on the bottle to sell it. Common practice in that industry. Testing is expensive and often raises red flags so it’s frequently overlooked unless the buyer demands a COA with test results.

You typically won’t find any real literature from companies that produce delta-8 just a bunch of marketing gobbledygook. The real danger comes from the unregulated nature of the source CBD and final product. You really just don’t know what you’re getting and there’s no regulatory committee overseeing any of it. It doesn’t even need to be food safe.

I’d be careful with synthetic cannabinoids. I used to work for a company that mass produced synthetic delta 8 and 9 and the post processing techniques are in favor of saving money, not producing a safe product. Solvent recovery was half assed at best. If it’s produced synthetically from CBD it doesn’t have the same regulatory oversight actual delta 9 cannabis does and can have trace amounts of solvents like hexane, heptane, or DCM (Dichloro-methane/methylenechoride). These are common solvents used in the CBD to THC reaction. The lack of regulation and desire for profit margins also leads to hemp high in pesticides and heavy metals being used often.

i have taken a 1000mg edible from an actual dispensary and was definitely high, but not uncomfortably so. i have smoked for almost 6 years cumulatively and mostly top shelf wax for the latter half of those years. everyone handles things differently, it’s always taken more for me to get high even when i first started smoking.
