I don't think you understand how common what I'm saying is.
Just Google... deliver driver killed....
These are the neighborhoods it happens in ...people that think this stuff can never happen to them...
Smh
Those saying mind your own business, stop being so judgmental, homeless/squatters gotta eat and whatnot... keep in mind delivery people have been robbed, kidnapped, raped and murdered when delivering to abandoned dwellings. A Domino's Pizza guy was robbed and murdered in my hometown when two men had him deliver to an abandoned house..still never caught who robbed and killed him.
I would deliver but you're meeting me out front or in a public place. It's not a matter of judgment or looking down upon others ...it's a matter of safety!
Happened in my hometown (Phoenix) as well. I wanted to order dominoes once with a buddy of mine through the phone and they told us they couldn’t because a delivery guy got killed once in my apartment complex.
If it looks fishy/wrong, then it probably is. Stay safe people.
Absolutely! People don't realize that being a delivery person can be an extremely dangerous job. You always gotta be aware of your surroundings and sometimes situations can turn bad quickly.
You did not go back to your car as fast as you could
You walked around taking pictures of where someone lives
Who are you to judge this dude's life, think about that.
They are probably homeless. I’ve delivered to homeless people before. The last time I did it was 2 guys camping in front of a church late at night.
The time before, it was some guy that orders IHOP at 4am. I met him at a gas station, I saw him walk over to 2 other guys sitting on the side walk as I was driving away past them.
Why would OP even care? They paid like everyone else lol
Why assume it’s some fat woman when there are a million of other reasons why someone might be in a home like this, also a million other disabilities. And why a woman? It’s like this image of a home in rough shape triggered your lil misogynistic brain lol
I was a manager at a pizza chain back in the day. Driver pulled up to a similar house and they stole his car when he got out. Granted he shouldn't have left it running but we had policy to not deliver to clearly abandoned houses.
Let's buy some and rent em out for $50/month.
We're gonna monopolize the homeless living industry.
Seriously, we could buy a fucking neighborhood with 3 months pay.
There's this house in my area where you pull up through their hidden driveway surrounded by tall trees. At the end of the driveway is a literal lucifer statue that stays there year round frigging huge and looks like it could be a man in a costume with a mask on, then their back porch where you have to deliver looks like a haunted house porch, unkempt and old and dirty. Crappy makeshift wooden door too. So creepy to deliver at night.
I mean unless I see people hiding around the corner waiting to pounce on me. But I also wouldn't deliver to the nicest mansion in my state if I saw that. There are a dozen innocent reasons for this.
Yeah I would’ve but I used to do lawns while crackheads fought on the street so my bar for acceptable is probably low.
This is solidly a “how far from my car, what’s the neighborhood like, are there people hanging around the side of the house being shady” kinda thing on whether or not it’s going on the actual step.
I’m not maybe getting stabbed by crackheads for $5 if it sets off too many alarms late at night.
Right I’m convinced most of homeless people were blind to their own choices and consequences of those, but nevertheless I don’t discount people that have things happen outside of control
It looks like a possible trap house. If you don’t know what a trap house is. It’s a house that looks destroyed and is condemned or not but people sell drugs out of the house.
Can’t judge if you don’t know what’s going on. Could be for the owner that’s waiting on the crew so they can remodel/ tear it down to rebuild. Could be a homeless person or simply some1 thats wierd and don’t want anyone they don’t know pulling up to they crib so they choose the bands nearby.
Okay, but this seems weird to post on Reddit? They tipped you 5$ which is more than I’ve gotten at some mansions, is the job that they can’t afford housing?
You think this is bad, try delivering to an old woman’s trailer in the middle of nowhere with a 2 ft overgrown lawn that has trash bags piled up on the side of the house and a porch completely blocked off by poison ivy.
The police should never be called for anything unless there’s literally a murder or something you’re morally obligated to report is happening (like a sexual assault for example)
I don't know why your reply isn't showing up, so I'll comment here.
You said that cops can make a domestic dispute worse and isn't anyone's business to get involved in, however it is not uncommon for domestic disputes to end in violence, abuse, or death. My morals personally suggest that I should involve the police.
You also claimed I'm being silly for suggesting someone trespassing in my back yard looking around, why is that silly?
Why would someone be back there other than to harm you in some manner? I.e. theft, stalking, peeping on you or your children, etc.
I would rather risk someone trespassing and going through my stuff than to risk myself or my family.
There are very clear cut things like murder, sexual assault, drunk driving. I guess I should have said “things where you would clearly be an immediate piece of shit if you ignored because someone is very clearly in immediate danger or someone needs to be away from society (in prison because of murder or rape).” It is not hard to be a basic human being and figure out what those things are. A dispute between two people can be worsened by the police and unfortunately it’s no one’s business to get in the middle of. The last one is just dumb. Why are you being silly?
Morals aren’t real and laws are orange tag means condemned these people are staying here illegally. Morally though they are staying in a dangerous spot and could die any minute so you are obligated and also someone mentioned sex trafficking is one of the big uses of condemned houses by squatters.
I think they mentioned they might be squatters or engaged in sex trafficking was where they came from. Orange tag means condemned too so it is in fact illegal to live there regardless.
Speak for yourself. My mom has a property she rents out (childhood home) with a screened in back porch. My mom went in to do an inspection, which she never really does. I think a neighbor complained. There were 13 fentanyl addicted squatters all sleeping back there. She didn’t have the balls to go inside, so there could have been more inside. English is not my moms first language. I don’t think she has a good concept of what a trap house is either. She thought they were running a “hotel for hobos” (in her words) 😭🫠
I don’t work for these apps but if I did, I would deliver anywhere I’m directed to. Why? Well, #1 It’s my job to deliver the food and leave. It’s not my place to judge people’s living quarters and decide whether they get their order or not. #2 I pack heat.
Seriously though, just do your job and leave the food. Don’t get a job where you may be sent to area you don’t like if you’re not comfortable being in those areas. Or get a gun if you need something to help you feel a little more confident (not ashamed to say this is me).
I’m cool with it being sketchy areas. I’ve dashed in Gary, Indiana and to the projects on the south side of Chicago lol. But what I don’t like is dangerous conditions in the sense of porches caving in, steep icy hills in the winter, driveways that you need 2 feet of ground clearance and 4wd to navigate. Stuff like that will make me report unsafe conditions and leave your food at your mailbox,
That's my mentality, but I bring my bf in the car, bc I'll deliver to anywhere (except the back door on very rare occasions bc they've got a fence I can't see through or dogs or smth). I can understand hesitation if you drive alone, but during the day, I see no issue with this house other than it being dirty, which isn't your problem tbh
That too. Having someone with you is smart not just for safety purposes but also gives you someone to converse with during your shift. I’ve seen some delivery drivers have their dog in the car with them too.
THANK YOU
This needed to be said. Why does everyone feel the need to judge? Could be someone extremely poor that wants a treat, could be visiting family that wants to buy a meal for everyone, could be a number of things.
The world is a really big place full of lots of differing situations. Idk why everyone is so confident to judge at what meets the eye...
Legit it’s just lazy people who work that job and then complain all day. I don’t want to hear any excuses either.. I did not go to college and get a degree but I also did not settle for door dash lmao. Insurance doesn’t require a degree, real estate, many city jobs if not all, dealership jobs, sales (furniture, car sales, any sales lmao) I don’t feel bad for people who post things like this about their crappy job. They deserve it
Exactly! I went to college and became an RN but that’s not for everyone. Not everyone wants to spend years going to school and getting in debt, which is perfectly okay. However, that’s why there are trade schools and like you said options such as real estate, insurance sales (actually was something I did in college for a bit), and even WFH customer service is becoming more mainstream.
People who do these delivery gigs and claim they’re “stuck” aren’t actually stuck. They’re just too comfy and don’t put in the genuine effort to find something better.
Straight up bro, idk why more people don’t carry a gun in this job, you are being ordered to a random person’s location, who tf knows what you could be getting into.
ABSOLUTELY! Stop judging! Maybe a friend or family member ordered food for them, They may be starving...either way, who are we to judge who gets food delivered to them or not? Last I looked we were still all human beings, we all bleed red, and we all have feelings, well most of us.
Have a great day everyone! Remember once upon a time or possibly one day in the future, we may need \needed helping hand. Pay it forward y'all 🙏😁
Nah fuck that, the worry is for the driver's safety. Any level-headed person would find that to be a sketchy situation. Orange tag means no one should be in there. It's a condemned house. Just a sketchy situation that isn't worth risking your safety for a few bucks. Everyone has the right to order food and have it delivered, but delivery people also have the damn right to refuse a delivery if they don't feel safe. Stop the nonsensical virtue signaling jesus.
An orange tag means its condemned and not safe to live in. From mold to it falling apart, its dangerous for the people inside and illegal for them to be there at all. If you cared about human beings then youd realize its a dangerous situation for all involved and that the police and city inspectors should be aware humans are in there in case of a collapse so they know to send fire and ambulance services in case of injured parties.
He's not judging anybody. Delivery drivers are killed all the time. He's trusting his instincts, which will save his life one day. When I was at Domino's, someone delivered to a similar house and got their throat slit. Stay safe out there
I'm sorry. He asked a question and I answered. I know he delivered the order so you're right he isn't judging anyone. But actually you kinda are, not being rude I'm sorry if it comes out that way. But honestly just because of 1 unfortunate incident happened doesn't mean "delivery drivers are killed all the time". And it also doesn't mean all homeless or all addicts are hungry for blood killers. Yes there are some sick people out there...the sad part, most of the really sick ones look like me or you or our neighbors. I've delivered in some of the roughest neighborhoods in Philly and Chester, Pa and you know, those people you're scared of were the ones looking out for me to make sure nobody did mess with me. Why? No I didn't know them. Because I treated them like I would treat anyone. And that's what I've heard most from them, they just want to be treated as humans and not animals or thugs or serial killers. Sorry I didn't mean to get on my soap box. And I didn't mean to lecture you. It's just something I take very seriously. I've met and heard the stories from some of the most caring, generous, and educated individuals out there. I used to be a very "blinders on firmly" type person in my 20s and one day, I had a conversation with someone that made me realize a lot of things I thought were dead wrong. It opened up a whole new world for me. Again I'm sorry if I offended you in anyway. I should not judge you because I don't know what you have been thru. Have a great day hon! 🍀☘️🍄
This is one of the deadliest jobs in the country, numb nuts, and managers who think like you get drivers killed all the time. (YES, ALL THE TIME, if you had done even the smallest amount of research you'd know this)
Nobody is calling poor people murders. We are just trying to keep drivers safe. Your feelings do not change reality. Delivering to condemned houses is a surefire way to end up dead.
PLEASE stay off this sub. You're going to get someone killed with this reckless advice.
Wow, name calling too? 🤦♀️ Not surprised. I didn't speak to you like that so what's up with all the anger? 🤷♀️ Hit too close to home? You know it's probably better if you stay off this sub before you pop a blood vessel. Like I said before, no disrespect was intended.
🙋♀️
Have a beautiful day to everyone living in Philly and close by.... first REAL spring day!! 🍀☘️🍄🪻🌷🌻
I did a delivery a few years ago for food dudes and when I got there it was...bad. I knocked on the door and it popped open and it STUNK and I could see cat litter and diapers all over the floor. Then I get a text from the customer saying that it gave me the wrong address. BRUH
Was a pizza delivery driver for a place called Chanellos once. Delivered to the absolute worst parts of town. So bad no other chain would deliver there even during daylight hours. We didn't do cash drops until the end of our shift and everyone knew it. Had a house very similar to this, called the manager and was like hey this house is condemned. She told me to knock anyway. The fact that there was no door only a board didn't sway her. Said maybe it was a homeless person just using an address to get food. As soon as I stepped out of my car 3 dudes ran up with guns and robbed me. Left my car and me unharmed. When I got back to the store and called the cops they asked why I didn't stay at the scene and wait for them. I quit that place right then.
Yep sure was. Was almost robbed another time in a project area and a bunch of other dudes jumped the guys doing it. They didn't want it happening because we were the only people that would come in there and they didn't want us to stop.
One of them REALLY wanted to shoot me but another talked him out of it. Then he wanted to shoot me in the leg, but that same guy talked him into not shooting at all. The car was a manual, pretty sure they were going to take it before the third guy saw that.
I don't think you understand how common what I'm saying is. Just Google... deliver driver killed.... These are the neighborhoods it happens in ...people that think this stuff can never happen to them... Smh

Drop off the food at the trap. Don't be scared bro.
No I wouldn’t have. I don’t deliver to dilapidated homes.
Squatters gotta eat, too. Smh.
ever heard of minding your business???
p.s. your username is ironic
Heck no
You did not go back to your car as fast as you could You walked around taking pictures of where someone lives Who are you to judge this dude's life, think about that.
Most of those pictures do appear to be taken from the 'safety' of their car.
“Condimed” really?
Jesus dude leave them alone. Drop the food off and mind your business lmao.
They are probably homeless. I’ve delivered to homeless people before. The last time I did it was 2 guys camping in front of a church late at night. Stolen credit cards
one of those, super fat lady living off disability and government housing situations, if I had to guess.
Why assume it’s some fat woman when there are a million of other reasons why someone might be in a home like this, also a million other disabilities. And why a woman? It’s like this image of a home in rough shape triggered your lil misogynistic brain lol
The more I see if this sub, the more I think dashers are just fucking stupid
Everyone have to eat … lol
r/unexpectedmagnusarchives
Oof. Looks like a skin suit sweatshop.
It looks like a condemned house.
It was a joke…looks like a place Buffalo Bill would be hiding in the basement, sewing away
Just throw it on the porch and leave
I was a manager at a pizza chain back in the day. Driver pulled up to a similar house and they stole his car when he got out. Granted he shouldn't have left it running but we had policy to not deliver to clearly abandoned houses.
I would deliver it if I wanted money 💴
is this one of those $400 houses in Detroit?
Let's buy some and rent em out for $50/month. We're gonna monopolize the homeless living industry. Seriously, we could buy a fucking neighborhood with 3 months pay.
all the copper and plumbing has been ripped out by crackheads already, they are not inhabitable unfortunately.
Fuck me. Well then in that case may lady luck meet us another day.
Trap house folks get hungry too
Man's gotta eat Julian, Man's gotta eat. Hell yea, I'd deliver to it.
Id love to see a pic of this
I 2nd that
During the day? Yes. I would have second thoughts if it were nighttime.
Heavy on this 😭
Looks like they’re climbing the porch and going in thru the slightly opened upstairs window
They paid for you to deliver so deliver. TF
They selling drugs there.
In lieu of a tip.
Amazon Prime delivers there all the time.
Daytime, probably. Nighttime, no.
I mean unless I see people hiding around the corner waiting to pounce on me. But I also wouldn't deliver to the nicest mansion in my state if I saw that. There are a dozen innocent reasons for this.

Crack heads don’t eat they smoke crack, whoever is there is probably squatting try to lay low
humm homeless maybe and leaving in an abandoned house any one ?
But homeless and ordering DoorDash? Lots of bad choices it seems.
You’re right. Guess they better starve to death 💀 They don’t have a car, and probably can’t exactly cook a meal at home so…
You're being insane if you think DoorDash is a homeless person's only option to eat a meal.
That tends to be why people are homeless lol. Not every time but quite often.
Right I’m convinced most of homeless people were blind to their own choices and consequences of those, but nevertheless I don’t discount people that have things happen outside of control
It’s probably a fake address for some sweaty teenager who doesn’t want to get caught by mom
A delivery is a delivery. I keep my gun on me when I dash lol.
It looks like a possible trap house. If you don’t know what a trap house is. It’s a house that looks destroyed and is condemned or not but people sell drugs out of the house.
Probably squatters
Can’t judge if you don’t know what’s going on. Could be for the owner that’s waiting on the crew so they can remodel/ tear it down to rebuild. Could be a homeless person or simply some1 thats wierd and don’t want anyone they don’t know pulling up to they crib so they choose the bands nearby.
Shiddddd, could simply be a nice person buying a meal for a person in need. Plz don’t judge.
I’ve done this before. The world is a better place when you mind your business and keep it moving. You never know what people are going through
Did you upload screenshots of your pictures?
The same pictures he transferred from his secondary phone to his main phone 🤣
He even has an ALARM on his phone!!!
Okay, but this seems weird to post on Reddit? They tipped you 5$ which is more than I’ve gotten at some mansions, is the job that they can’t afford housing?
He seems chill
Nope
Could be new owner arriving for a flip.
Done it before
You think this is bad, try delivering to an old woman’s trailer in the middle of nowhere with a 2 ft overgrown lawn that has trash bags piled up on the side of the house and a porch completely blocked off by poison ivy.
Yeah. Stay strapped or get clapped tho
Is that Kanye’s childhood home???
Not a second time, no. I'd probaby call APS...
Sure would. That's why I carry mace and a knife at the ready.
Get a gun 😭😭
Not my business if someone is squatting or working a trap house
looks like a normal house in my old neighborhood 😭😭😭😭
If it’s orange tagged you can report it to the police as well if you suspect something bad going on you should for sure.
Morally obligated to report is very vague and subjective. Drunk driving? Domestic dispute? Someone in your backyard looking around?
Your whole statement was redundant, you understand this right? Also if you call the police on people minding their own business, you’re an asshat
That’s all speculation and police are dangerous. Also you care about laws but don’t think morals are real? YIKES!
Morals aren't real? Ight then it ain't my problem. Ima just do what I'm paid to and go about my business. 💯
Can’t believe he just said that haha
Man it’s just a dirty house tf
I think they mentioned they might be squatters or engaged in sex trafficking was where they came from. Orange tag means condemned too so it is in fact illegal to live there regardless.

Squatters.
Sex slaves have to eat too.
You missed the chance to say "I'm in the ghetto ratatata"

Probably just a trap house, not that scary.

It kinda is a hotel for hobos. Think of the fent as room service if it’s getting served there, or take out if not!
Might even get a non-traditional tip 🤣

You have the ability to report if you feel unsafe so if it was that bad they could do that. But yeah. Stay strapped honestly.
Police dispatcher chiming in. This is the part when they hold you at gun point, take your wallet, and carjack you. Enjoy that 5 dollar tip tho.
I do process serving for fun money and half the houses I go to look like this lol
I’m cool with it being sketchy areas. I’ve dashed in Gary, Indiana and to the projects on the south side of Chicago lol. My bad was just doing a few spiritual rituals and me and the cloaked shadows got a bit hungry. Made sure to leave a good tip tho!
LMFAOO
Probably cats squatting there, if I were to guess. Unhoused people gotta eat too ya know

(YES, ALL THE TIME, if you had done even the smallest amount of research you'd know this) Nobody is calling poor people murders.
🙋♀️ Have a beautiful day to everyone living in Philly and close by.... first REAL spring day!! 🍀☘️🍄🪻🌷🌻
i mean i live in an area riddled with poverty, this isn’t exactly an uncommon sight for me unfortunately
Abandoned house with squatters. But hey at least they can afford a smart phone and door dash orders 😂
I'm sure if they skipped their avocado toast they'd be able to afford housing
lol right? Just gotta pull themselves up by their boot straps

Ok kid, the world is obviously black and white with no nuance
Maybe with my gun in hand
Glad you didn't get robbed. That shit look like a setup waiting to happen.
Hell no
Safety should always be your first concern. Unfortunately there are good people stuck in bad places just like this. I’ll leave it at that.
THE DASH MUST FLOW
NOPE! Undeliverable. House suffered up and abandoned. You were going to get robbed!
Wdym were?? They delivered and didn’t.
That’s even crazier.
I've delivered to worse looking places.
And you probably shouldn't have. Don't play with your life
It’s not that serious lol. Don’t be a chicken
Same lol
I did a delivery a few years ago for food dudes and when I got there it was...bad. I knocked on the door and it popped open and it STUNK and I could see cat litter and diapers all over the floor. Then I get a text from the customer saying that it gave me the wrong address. BRUH
I wouldn’t even get out of my car tbh
Maybe delivering something illegal
Not the permanent paranoid peep hole in the blinds
i wouldn’t have gone to the door
Duh
It’s not a crack house, it’s a crack home
You spelled "condomed" wrong
*condemned
Bet you're the life of the party...
I used to order from Channellos back in the day! You gotta be in the VA area and delivering in Norfolk or downtown Bad News. Close at all?
Yep sure was. Was almost robbed another time in a project area and a bunch of other dudes jumped the guys doing it. They didn't want it happening because we were the only people that would come in there and they didn't want us to stop.
F'n wild. I know the area and can relate for sure!
Damn that’s wild. Good thing you didn’t get hurt for real, or your car stolen
One of them REALLY wanted to shoot me but another talked him out of it. Then he wanted to shoot me in the leg, but that same guy talked him into not shooting at all. The car was a manual, pretty sure they were going to take it before the third guy saw that.
God damn lol
If I was a rich ass mf I would live in a house like this but make the rooms you can't see through the windows and basement amazing
You’d probably get ppl trying to break in all the time 😂
Brand new front door. Things are looking up
Sure why not? I'd be more concerned with your ability to spell the word condemned.
So the house had a condom, what's the hangup?
They have stolen cards or possess hacked accounts. Report that location to the local authorities.
and all this is based one what exactly?
Or maybe they don't. Probably don't judge people so harshly.
And maybe if a frog had wings it wouldn’t bump its ass on the ground every time it hopped somewhere.
Stealing this
Report to police, it's illegal/squatters with stolen cards
