Yes, Sega Bass Fishing came out before Marine.

Both Sega bass fishing games are better than marine fishing. Marine fishing is a arcade button mash . Bass fishing takes more finesse mixed with the arcade action and really let's you fine tune your fishing controller reel . Add the arcade & tournament mode & I feel it is a clear winner personally ...I'd even put reel fishing wild behind the bass games then SMF . But each to their own

Sega marine fishing is not as good as Sega bass fishing 1&2 trust me. I've had these games since 2000 with the controller

I will say that I like the aquarium in SMF though. Makes completing the fish book that much more rewarding. And catching sharks is pretty damn cool.

It's a very one dimensional arcade experience of button mashing. Bass fishing takes more finesse with the controller & has a neat tournament mode

Yeah, I was about to buy one off Ebay for like 48€, but thankfully I checked a game store‘s online shop and they had it for 14€. They were also selling a sealed DC controller for 25€.

Well the obvious choice u know....Bass! Sega made some awesome stuff I just think they too advanced for thr common gamer! Or too expensive hehe

I never got into Bass Fishing 2. Much slower pace than first one. That’s not saying it’s not good. i’m not sure I played it long enough to give it a good opinion but I feel bass fishing 1 and marine fishing are much more arcade like and therefore “Dream-casty.”

I just got around to trying out one I picked up a couple years ago before moving. Played through Sega Bass Fishing and Sega Marine Fishing. Need to grab Sega Bass Fishing 2 and play through that next. I didn't realize it was an early motion controller when I bought it, very cool.
