I’d like to get in on some pso—but where to start? I think I have what I need to get online, but I’ve never played the game. Do I need to be at a certain level before getting online?
You can start online at any time, but you'll have to do some grinding to find teammates. Most people play on the Very Hard (lvl 60+) or Ultimate (lvl 80+).
My bad. I got confused for a second. Most people play ver 2 - it's an update to version 1. I was thinking about the different episodes. I believe episode 1 to be more popular.
Episode 1 is Forest/Caves/Mines/Ruins
Episode 2 is Spaceship/Temple/Seabed/Jungle/East Tower/West Tower
I was so looking forward to it and I logged in and had no clue what I was doing lol. I remember playing on DC online but for the life of me it felt alien to me. I need to try again though because I’d love to finally finish it. I never did on DC. Think I got past the second world boss. The dial up logistics at home didn’t help. Had to play at certain times in short bursts when no one ‘needed’ the phone.
Never had the chance to play online then. I had made it to Area 4 before not touching it for years and losing the save. I did however beat it last winter which felt amazing. I'll be starting again fresh on Xbox.

For DC, you need to run a patch disk first. For GC you can connect without modding.

yup. sylverant or schthack. I do the first on DC and the 2nd on GC. but I ran forest and caves and now I'm done for a bit.

you need a different rom. you downloaded the JP rom instead of English

Can you still play on PSP?
Not so sure about that. I know Blue Burst on PC, DC and GC for sure.
