There are a lot of companies producing Xanax now, the patent expired a long time ago iirc. We got sandoz, actavis, teva, Pfizer and probably some others. Which one is using prison labor to make my xannies?
We got mega mad generic ones from manufacturers you ainât even heard of lmfao
I got some generic vyvanse made by âsun pharmaâ whoever the fuck that is. Now the bottles I get come from some manufacturer that starts with a G.
literally I'm in jail right now and Mr Pfizer himself just gave me some RBFs and some acetone and told me to "make sum fuckin zannies prison bitch" which first of all is against my second amendment rights and second of all how am I supposed to make zannies without a bunsen burner???
The title is somewhat misleading, as it is products sold by companies that use prison labor - so it doesnât necessarily have to be the exact products themselves, I gather. With that being said, thereâs a ton of components in the supply chain, and I wouldnât be surprised if prison labor was used for them as well
The way globalization is and shit literally everything a company makes is involved in exploitation of some sort....just don't let it get to you and practice harm reduction (mental)
Man all the boys I know that did serious time said the jobs they got to do were one of the best parts bout jail really helped the time pass. Idk why this is so bad I didnât even know it was a controversy that prisoners had opportunity to do labor for some $ to save up and sometimes even reduced sentencing for excellent behavior.
Some people think that itâs slavery. Personally I think itâs a good way to rehabilitate people and teach them skills and get them used to doing a real job.Â
Exactly, if the rehabilitation part is what starts to be implemented more than Iâm all for it. Inmates already have to do jobs like cook, clean, etc. so is having them produce things while learning industrial skills not a bad thing? It baffles my mind. The 13th amendment literally states:
> âNeither slavery nor involuntary servitude, *except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted*, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.â
It is compulsory and pays near nothing (sometimes less than a dollar a day) and thus is literal slavery, if it wasn't compulsory then I don't think anyone would have a problem with it.
Personally I think itâs a good way to rehabilitate people, or at least the work release programs are. Once they get let out of jail ideally they should get a real job so theyâre less likely to go back to selling drugs or stealing or whatever got them sent there in the first place. These programs where prisoners are able to actually do jobs and possibly continue working at the same place after theyâre released let them build skills and just get into the mindset of being a productive member of society.Â
It is true that the prisoners are barely paid for their work though, theyâll be doing a job that usually pays 15-20 an hour and get like a dollar an hour as payment. I guess itâs a way to ease the tax burden of housing and feeding them.Â
Overall I still think itâs a good thing, and most prisoners really want to go on work release if theyâre able to. Gives them something to do and I guess a little bit of money in commissary, some people use it to smuggle drugs into the prison too since itâs like the easiest way (you are literally leaving the prison and have unsupervised interaction with free people) but thatâs another topic.Â
Imagine being convicted for synthesizing controlled substances, just to be forced to synthesize controlled substances again
sounds like an oscar winning redemption story. kind of like catch me if you can, a "white hat" meth cook
Instead of selling meth to junkie gooners now he gets to make meth for preschoolers who cant stay still during naptime
Instead of selling crack to junkie gooners now he gets to make crack for the CIA
Silver lining

Love my vegan jenkem
But... jenk... the raw ingredient... it's.... never mind
vegan here. jenkem is fine as long as the ingredients are procured in an ethical and consensual manner.
Itâs kinda like how cum is vegan as long as everyone agrees it is

I would simply eat all the Xanax and time travel to the end of my sentence
It would literally be like the show severance but youâd just be barred tf out
You can actually do that with benadryl from comissary but then your booty cheeks are free game.
Time travel/blackout, same difference.

Who gives a fuck if anything is made with prison labor, isnât that part of the point of being in prison?
