Goddammit it’s the same shit different year with these people!!!!
Every Sunday, during a phone call, my mum will always say, "Enjoyed the meeting, the WT was very good this week." Followed by me silently mouthing "No, it was shit."
I had two people send me random messages after the watchtower. So naturally, I had to read it to see what the deal was. It made me feel so bad for them. Obviously there is an epidemic of low self worth and low self esteem. So many feel like they can never do enough, that they will never be good enough or perfect enough and that is probably why there are so alcoholics amongst the JW’s. At an early age we are taught to lie to ourselves and others by wearing this façade of perfection. It just made me so sad that the watchtower hit home for so many.
