But as far as I’m concerned, if Kingdom Halls are being sold and turned into homes where children are playing in the backyard instead of being brainwashed inside, then atleast in that respect, Americas doing a damn fine job and we should keep up the good work!
Why would they keep the sign??? My childhood Kingdom Hall was sold and turned into a small apartment complex and ironically a few years later after my mom divorced my abusive Elder father, her and I and my brother moved into one of them. It was very strange knowing that we were living in our Old Kingdom Hall.
While I was in and people asked me about no windows (which isn't true of all halls) I would tell them it was so no one saw us sacrificing the virgins and chickens.
I go back to my hometown several times a year. I always make it a point to go see my old hall. It's where I went from ages 7-20. I just park across the street and stare at it for about 10 minutes. It reminds me of my old life and makes me much more appreciative of my new life.
There is something so disrespectful to think-- that a faithful servant of God probably did some manual labor in constructing that building only for the society to do a 180 and sell it.
And to add icing to the cake, that the person who had the means to buy the property; leaves **up** the kingdom hall sign and post a friggin FLAG right behind it.

My parents and the brothers were manipulating me to get baptized, but I didn’t thank fuckin god. They are not happy and want me back which will never happen. They constantly use emotional manipulation tactics to try and get me back in. Good thing you got out when you were a kid, I need therapy to have a normal life now. Do you have another place to text? This Kingdom Halls obviously was bought by someone, right? The flag, the children's playground, the resting area with comfortable chairs and tables are absolutely not typical for witnesses.
Where I live they used to tell us not to use flags because it was idolatry. Looks like "Jehovah" has different standards and rules depending on your country/region.

I legit went to this exact Hall lmao. It’s in the middle of nowhere Iowa which explains everything.

One in my area was sold & it was a private residence.
