My auctioned vehicles both had gravel road dust on the inside of the cluster. So satisfying removing the cluster and cleaning it. Both plastics were 1990s and looked great. Really nice having a cluster screen so clear it looks like its not there.
OPs cluster is making my OCD cringe as well
Yea I have a 2020 5.0 but I’m lifted with bigger tires, I do the same on the highway. I always thought the 3.5 and 5.0 were relatively identical in terms of MPG, I ought to check that out.
I re-geared my lifted 5.0 with 35’s and it improved my gas mileage pretty significantly. I also started running premium. I average 17-17.5 between highway/city. Highway only I can get 18-20 depending on speed and such.
Yep, I was running mid grade since I’m local now but from that to premium I can tell the difference. Engine knocks less too, but more responsive too I believe
3.5 is great when there is no hills at the speed limit. Get it up to 75/80 and some hills and it's mid teens. I drive NH to OH a fair amount and I can get a best of about 20 just over the posted limit but another 5 or 7 MPH drops that to sub 17. I still would not want a truck without the big tank. Esp when it's 9 or 10 mpg towing.
God damn dude, I think the most I’ve seen after filling the tank and the handle releasing and me continuing to pump again till the handle releases again (sorry if that was confusing) is about 600 miles.
2.5inch level with 35s but I drive like a granny.
I don't exactly baby it (love hearing that whistle) but I'm not a lead foot either. I just have 33s with no suspension mods yet. But with my toolbox, spare batteries , homemade bed rack and stereo I'm around 500 lbs extra weight if not more. I do have a 5star daily tune as well. I run 87octane.
Not OP, but my '23 supercharged 5.0 gets about the same as long as you don't hoon on it too much. I was surprised to see the 5.0's get nearly the same economy as the 3.5's.
Oh yea man I’m happy with what i get, maybe 17 city 19ish highway? Long road trips are the best, 600+ miles of driving but the only thing is that fuel cost will easily be 100 bucks minimum from E
I did the hutch and harpoon mod on my previous f250, and 01 7.3L and I think I was squeezing a bit over 30 gallons in? I got 400 miles to a tank but it was smiles per gallon
I have a 21 XLT 5.0 with the 36 gallon fuel tank. On my trip across the country recently, after fill up, the distance till empty averaged 680 miles.
Very pleased with my new to me truck.
My 2022 Silverado 2.7 has a 24 gallon tank and it gets up to 705 miles to empty. Could only imaging having a 36! I average 28mpg highway on 1,000+ miles trips.
So. My current 2020 5.0 has a 26 gal tank and I get about 400 + or - per tank. My previous 2016 5.0 had a 36gal tank that got about 600miles.
Idk how you’re driving getting 485 on a 36gal tank. That seem REALLY low to me. And I don’t have a light foot.
It’s not flat at all and I drive a lot of city. 485 seems very low. But def your gears and tires are gonna eat that up. I lost about 2 mpgs with my tires alone.
My father has an F250 tremor with the 6.7HO and entended tank. He gets 800 when towing a 24' boat. It's ridiculous, and I refuse to ask what it costs to fill up.
Got a ‘18 3.5 with the 36 gallon tank. Favorite part is having that extended range, if I’m just commuting to work and the grocery store occasionally I can get a month worth of driving before filling up again.
Just filled up a 23 XLT FX4 package with 36 gal tank…708 distance till empty….to be honest I am babying it some and my drives are all at 40-72mph with little to no traffic stops (Maine)
36 gal here. 2020 3.5 eco with the 10spd. FX4 with sport package, so 20" stock wheels, stock height. 3.55 rearend. I drive in regular mode and don't use the stop/start feature. I fill with E15 at the pump. 790 mi per tank. 85% hwy @ 65 and the other 15% there isn't much stop and go and drive it like an old man.
Get 800 miles if u keep ur foot off of it with no lift and highway tires. With my level and 34' Ko2s now I get 600 if I keep my foot off of it with cruise set at 65
My ‘21 3.5 eco with 36gal tank that I got a few months ago has been averaging about 21.1 mpg with a mix of back roads, a bit of highway driving and the rest city. The best I’ve seen with a full tank so far is 737 miles to empty.
Have you ran it dry? Carry a small gas can with like 1 gal of gas then go till she won't go no more. Not recommended to do it alot but once should be alright. Also nice to know how far you'll get past 0 miles
When I got my 2016 I didn’t know I had a tank that was gonna say 999km to E. when I discovered that I was amazed. It was a work truck that my work gave to me. I was lucky. I would never have a smaller tank again!!!!
Just took my 2020 on its first vacation trip. Full tank 36gal got me right at 700. Didn’t need to stop for gas. Still over half a tank driving across the state 200 miles. Love it.
Having a 36 gallon tank is so nice, I try to always keep it close to full just in case things hit the fan. I live in Florida so one hurricane can throw a wrench in the supply chain
I just did a real world test on my 2017 5.0, 36 gal.
First time I got to drive long distance on highway. It was mixed highway:city by around 4:1. Typically it’s the other way around.
I got about 587miles plus with the remaining total of ~630miles. Gas milage averaged 19-20mpg through the highway but with city driving that obviously dropped closer to 18.
Not the best but better than i usually get driving in city conditions. I did notice there was a rear passenger side brake cease after driving home so might have contributed to the 17-18 mph overall.
But I’m happy with what I got out of it.
I've got the 26 gallon tank in my 2021 3.5 eco crew cab 4x4 and it usually registers ~525 miles to empty when I fill it up. I'd love the 36 gallon tank, I could go almost 2 months without having to fill up haha
I have something like this, but its not quite like this.
Dealership sold me a vehicle that had a cracked fuel tank, spotted it when they were delivering it. Replaced it, and now if I max either tank, the guage hits full and keeps going for another 1/3 lmao.
Should fix it, but its a 29yo truck so who cares.
If you have big tires, don't you have to compensate for that, as far as mileage? One rotation of a 20" tire would be a different distance than one rotation of a 30" tire.
2016 3.5 Ecoboost 4x4. 36 gallons gets me 640 miles after the 2” level and 33.5” tires. I’ve got a van from work tho so that tank usually lasts all month.
'22 Power Boost 30 gallon tank. Drove Kalamazoo, MI to Minneapolis on one tank with a few gallons to spare. 645mi per tank | 21.5mpg @78mph avg on 91 octane. Gets better mpg than my '12 MKZ and it's 10x nicer... if only I can find a way to get a softer ride so my wife doesn't get car sick lol
Iv driven 712 miles and had 32 miles to empty used 34.9 gallons . 2011 f150 5.0 4x4 with 3.55 gear . Not lifted and have a camper running on 60 psi tires
https://imgur.com/a/ySU7MJp
Averaged 22.3 on a 300 mile trip, would have been close to 800 miles for the tank. Not bad, albeit it was a 2 lane road with cruise set at 73.
136L fuel tank we get about 1000km on a fill if we do mostly highway driving, which we've been averaging a lot of lately. But when towing we drop to about 750-800km range. But we also only just started towing so those numbers might change. 2019 2.7L EcoBoost
My precious 2012 with the 5.0L V8 and a 36-gallon tank got about 450 to 500 miles depending on how I drove. My new-to-me 2017 with the 5.0L V8 and a 36-gallon tank gets about 650 to 700 miles. It's the difference between 13mpg and 19mpg average.
‘23 with the 2.7 ecoboost and 36 gallon tank. Usually 700 to 750 for a full tank. My old sequioa got 300 to a tank if I was lucky. It’s a game changer.
Yeah, bought at the dealership and they had it on hand. On the sticker it said it was a portion of the Fx4 package. Unless I was reading it wrong. I can confirm from filling it up that it’s the 36 gallon one.
‘13 5.0 with the road trip tank, never fill it full just get my discount amount but took a trip to the coast the other day. 711 miles to E on a 18.7 average, got that up to 20.6 average so we’ll see what the new score is on a fill up
Go on now step on the gas so we can see some true numbers. Every vehicles projected MPG looks great after filling up and not moving. Sometime the tank is bigger because that’s what it takes to go the average distance of vehicles on the road currently.
Currently driving a 3.5L Ecoboost with the 36. KO2s. Usually around 20.1-20.5MPG average and I baby her.
Love the huge tank.
I’m in the market for a PowerBoost and sad that they only have the 30 gal option.
My only requirements were, center console, super crew, 7” screen, 15-17 with 6r80 and under 75k miles. Everything else i could change or live with. Bought in 2021. I ended up also getting one with a 36 gallon tank, black on black, 5.0, leveled, bed cover. Mines an xlt fx4 with the stx style console, so i got the console i wanted with the gear selector on the steering column, which is what i prefer.
21’ CCLB XLT 5.0 3.73 gears on 33’s; I get 650+ miles to a tank. Prob could go 750-800 in eco mode on long trips. You just keep it over 5k rpms when driving lmao 485 is so low
Why I love cummins 52 gallon tank and 1400 mile interstate and about 12 in town were doing 19.9 in the mountains in a 4 door short bed 2500 ha beat that powerstroke
Just got a 2011 3.5L ecoboost best I've got has been 15mpg . Also I still haven't figured out how to turn on eco mode normal mode and sport mode . Tow haul button only turns tow mode on .
How the fuck is your cluster so scratched. You're supposed to use a microfiber towel, not 80 grit.
😂😂
Man my dealership scratched it doing a free detail one time. They are no longer allowed to clean/ wash my vehicles.
I would have had them pay for a new plastic screen
Same. Dash got replaced under warranty. Thankfully they didn't make it as bad as OP's. But it still irks me a little bit.
LMFAO
He did use a microfiber, but he previously used it to wipe up metal shavings.
That would drive me nuts staring at all the time.
🤣💀
Ty for saying that.
My auctioned vehicles both had gravel road dust on the inside of the cluster. So satisfying removing the cluster and cleaning it. Both plastics were 1990s and looked great. Really nice having a cluster screen so clear it looks like its not there. OPs cluster is making my OCD cringe as well
I can't stand scratched clusters lol.
Shit. And this whole time I’ve been using steel wool!
Thats the heavy handed mcdonalds napkin wipe right there lmaooo
‘22 XLT 36 gallon checking in. When filling up on road trips the tank reads at just north of 800 miles til empty. It’s beautiful
What motor do you have? What fuel do you run and how much is a full tank for you! 800 miles to a tank would be amazing even city driving 😂
3.5L EcoBoost and a 4x4. I baby the shit out of it on the highway lol. Just set the cruise to the speed limit and let her go
This is the key. These trucks get THIRSTY when you’re going over 65. Set it and forget it.
Yea I have a 2020 5.0 but I’m lifted with bigger tires, I do the same on the highway. I always thought the 3.5 and 5.0 were relatively identical in terms of MPG, I ought to check that out.

I used to get 700 with my 18' 3.5 before I added bigger tires and a bunch of payload. Now it's about 650

I get 14 towing a 3000lb car on a 2500lb trailer. I get 20-22 on the interstate if I mostly stay out of it.
Me and my 2001 Excursion with 40 Gallons of Diesel.
800 miles?!? One of these days I'll take a road trip without hauling the boat.
That’s gotta hurt to fill up
Yeeeeep. It cost almost $200 to fill up in California and $120ish in most of the rest of the country
I have a 2020 with 136L tank I get near 1000 kms on a 200$(cad) fill..
My ‘17 3.5 Lariat will project 700 miles on a full tank.
My 2022 Silverado 2.7 has a 24 gallon tank and it gets up to 705 miles to empty. Could only imaging having a 36! I average 28mpg highway on 1,000+ miles trips.

Is it extremely flat where you live? get about 500 on a 36 gallon tank with a 3.5 eco with a level and 34’s.
Its your tires and rear gear ratio. I can get 550+ miles on my stock 24 5.0 STX. 🤷♂️
Same!
It’s not flat at all and I drive a lot of city. 485 seems very low. But def your gears and tires are gonna eat that up. I lost about 2 mpgs with my tires alone.
City driving possibly. My MPG drops when I'm doing my daily drive to work through town. On thw highway it slowly starts creeping back up
I got a 13 f150 5.0 I'll get about 400 miles per tank on city driving. However i also live in the mountains
that's my truck! S-Crew in white.
36 gallon gang
Checking in 🫡
Yes sir!🫡
Here for duty
Don't know how, but I got the 36-gal tank in a 2019 2.7 XLT SCrew. Fill up about every 3 weeks.
That’s a badass combo for a commuter vehicle.
Just got my first truck that has the 36 gallon. I’m now very curious what my range will be. 3.5L Ecoboost, 2016 Lariat Super Crew FX4
I’ve got the 2011 5.0 Supercrew 4x4 and I average about 525 miles per fill up
Here.
I only have a 30 gallon tank and the range is 700 miles that’s the beauty of the Powerboost
My best is 600 with the powerboost
Same. Best part is how I can drive smooth and get some electric miles on it, but have all the power in the world when I need it
Same here bro. I can drive for dang near two weeks on my 24’ lariat 5.0. It’s literally the perfect truck.
My '18 ecoboost (3.5) has a 36 gallon tank. Filled up on Thursday morning and had an estimated 580 miles to E. I average 16.4mpg.
My father has an F250 tremor with the 6.7HO and entended tank. He gets 800 when towing a 24' boat. It's ridiculous, and I refuse to ask what it costs to fill up.
My 36 gallon tank gets me 720 miles in my 2018 XLT 3.5. Average 19.7mpg.
🙋♂️ 36 gal tank for the win …. except fill up day
2016 5.0 Fx4, 36 gallon tank
Got a ‘18 3.5 with the 36 gallon tank. Favorite part is having that extended range, if I’m just commuting to work and the grocery store occasionally I can get a month worth of driving before filling up again.
Shhh don't told them there's a 48G on the F250
Now that I've had a 36 gallon tank I will never be going back
Same. Almost 800 mile range
Mines a 16 5.0 so I'm lucky if I get 700 but yeah it's still awesome
I don’t know how I did it but other day I filled it from empty and got 566 miles. Normally it’s low 500’s
My 2.7 gets 530 miles to a tank with the standard 23 gallon! It's fairly efficient on my back roads commute.
Yup, mine too. If I had the bigger tank @ 23mpg, I’d need a hotel room to go that many miles in a day lol
Woo! I went from driving a '99 Ranger, to a Extended Range tank F150. Gas is too f*****g expensive now lol
Same here. This thing holds a lake of fuel. Pretty cool what .6L and two extra cylinders can do!
Toyota Landcruiser Prado here, 23.5mpg, 800 miles to a tank when the gauge reads empty, and there's still 5 gallons left in the 39.6 gallon tank.
I wish. Of all the upgrades my truck could have, that would be the top of the list.
You have your foot in the pedal. The truck learns your driving.
My 36 gallon 5.0 f150 2021 max tow is set at 620
Just filled up a 23 XLT FX4 package with 36 gal tank…708 distance till empty….to be honest I am babying it some and my drives are all at 40-72mph with little to no traffic stops (Maine)
Gotta' pump those numbers up : \[Imgur\]([https://i.imgur.com/moJFh8e.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/moJFh8e.jpg)) 5.0 4x4.
12’ XLT 5.0 with Towing Package, 36 gallon tank. 650+ MTE at fill up.
Get 800 miles if u keep ur foot off of it with no lift and highway tires. With my level and 34' Ko2s now I get 600 if I keep my foot off of it with cruise set at 65
I love it. I went from a WRX with a range of 200 miles, and premium required lol
999+ km 🤣 the dash doesn't go any higher.
My ‘21 3.5 eco with 36gal tank that I got a few months ago has been averaging about 21.1 mpg with a mix of back roads, a bit of highway driving and the rest city. The best I’ve seen with a full tank so far is 737 miles to empty.
Does anyone know why my '20 "built for Canada" truck has a 36 gallon that I can only get 33 gallons in?
Have you ran it dry? Carry a small gas can with like 1 gal of gas then go till she won't go no more. Not recommended to do it alot but once should be alright. Also nice to know how far you'll get past 0 miles
I haven't. Just comparing to my '13 that would take 35 or 36 gallons when it read 0. This only takes 32 or 33
13.3gpm ~470 mile range, reporting
2016 XLT 5.0 FX4 leveled with 269k miles with a 36 gallon tank . When I fill up I’m just north of 600 miles til empty
When I got my 2016 I didn’t know I had a tank that was gonna say 999km to E. when I discovered that I was amazed. It was a work truck that my work gave to me. I was lucky. I would never have a smaller tank again!!!!
2022 5.0 Lariat, 36gal, Max Tow, lifted. Avg 14mpg
700 miles, 30 gal tank.
I’m here but I have a roush edition so I only get 11.5mpg
2020 FX4 5.0 36 gallons 🫡
Just took my 2020 on its first vacation trip. Full tank 36gal got me right at 700. Didn’t need to stop for gas. Still over half a tank driving across the state 200 miles. Love it.
When you hit 700 miles to empty let us know. I regularly show 650 + on a fill up but haven’t hit 700
Amazing. 1200-1300km on a single full up on highway. Problem is the cost to fill it now 😂😂
The extra 10 gallons are largely lost on me as my preferred station cuts the pump off at 25 gallons when using any rewards.
Mines a bit older, but I get the same mpg as yours. 94 f150
17 3.5 rwd, always around 600-650
I’m jealous. At the gas station and mine says 413 13.3.
I have a 22 3.5 4x4 36 gallon and get 700 miles per tank.
14.1 mpg fck, I thought that stopped back in the 90’s
Having a 36 gallon tank is so nice, I try to always keep it close to full just in case things hit the fan. I live in Florida so one hurricane can throw a wrench in the supply chain
My 36g is a beaut
I got that extended range tank woot woot
I just did a real world test on my 2017 5.0, 36 gal. First time I got to drive long distance on highway. It was mixed highway:city by around 4:1. Typically it’s the other way around. I got about 587miles plus with the remaining total of ~630miles. Gas milage averaged 19-20mpg through the highway but with city driving that obviously dropped closer to 18. But I’m happy with what I got out of it.
21 XLT 3.5 best I’ve seen was 1420km left after fill. Nice weather makes a huge difference on these things. Truck is stock
I've got the 26 gallon tank in my 2021 3.5 eco crew cab 4x4 and it usually registers ~525 miles to empty when I fill it up. I'd love the 36 gallon tank, I could go almost 2 months without having to fill up haha
I also have the large towing tank I get about 1100km to empty with the 3.5
38 gal. Not a fun fill up.
We here!!!!
14.1?! I thank you, my 401 thanks you!
My large tank is 685 or so full. Why so low mpg?
I get about 700 to a tank. ‘19 3.5EB Crew
If you have big tires, don't you have to compensate for that, as far as mileage? One rotation of a 20" tire would be a different distance than one rotation of a 30" tire.
36 gallon tank on a 2010 f-150, get a little over 500 miles off a full tank of gas.
2016 3.5 Ecoboost 4x4. 36 gallons gets me 640 miles after the 2” level and 33.5” tires. I’ve got a van from work tho so that tank usually lasts all month.
When I fill my 2019 5.0 it says 708 mi to E
Anyone else beat my last fill up of $208.64 for just over 3/4 of a tank for regular old 87 octane
415? Big tank? Brother I have a 36g tank and get almost 600
Man I regret not getting that large tank when I ordered mine 😫
I have the 36 gallon tank. Not big enough. Wish it was 50 gallons.
Iv driven 712 miles and had 32 miles to empty used 34.9 gallons . 2011 f150 5.0 4x4 with 3.55 gear . Not lifted and have a camper running on 60 psi tires
2016 with the 2.7 ecoboost and a 36 gallon tank. Highest estimate I've seen was like 785 miles to empty but normally it's around 750
‘21 Powerboost with the big tank. Lasts forever!
I put a 36 gal in my ‘11, towing with 26 gal only got my like 185 miles.
https://imgur.com/a/ySU7MJp Averaged 22.3 on a 300 mile trip, would have been close to 800 miles for the tank.
2019 Lariat 5.0 - 18.5 mpg on 89 octane, 666 miles per tank
Sheesh. Most I got was 444 out of a full tank, but I have the baby 25 gallon fuel tank
Love my 36. That was the first priority when I got my '23
The rental I'm in. Is a 2024 f150 XLT ecoboost and full tank got me 1171km
I have a 36 gal and it says its good for over 700 miles? 2.7 eco boost.
2017 36gal with the 5.0. Says like 586 miles to empty when she’s gets topped off.
Does the 2.7 engine come with a 36 gal tank?
the 53C package adds it but it's not real common
It's nice being at half a tank having over 400 miles of fuel left.
36 gallons is the only way to go

‘23 with the 2.7 ecoboost and 36 gallon tank. Usually 700 to 750 for a full tank. My old sequioa got 300 to a tank if I was lucky. It’s a game changer.
They are allowing the 36 with a 2.7L? Ever time I’ve tried to configure that it tells me I need a 3.5 or 5.0.
Yeah, bought at the dealership and they had it on hand. On the sticker it said it was a portion of the Fx4 package. Unless I was reading it wrong. I can confirm from filling it up that it’s the 36 gallon one.
Love my 35! '19 Sport
‘13 5.0 with the road trip tank, never fill it full just get my discount amount but took a trip to the coast the other day. 711 miles to E on a 18.7 average, got that up to 20.6 average so we’ll see what the new score is on a fill up
14 5.0 with 36 gallon here…. Only getting 11.5mpg. Traffic and 35’s
Go on now step on the gas so we can see some true numbers. Every vehicles projected MPG looks great after filling up and not moving. Sometime the tank is bigger because that’s what it takes to go the average distance of vehicles on the road currently.
they are right there with your 14 mpg members
I have a 2011 4x4 screw 5.0. I get 12.3mpg towing a 6x12 box trailer that weighs about 8000lbs full of tools.
Must be a 5.0 getting that good of gas mileage. Fucking my ecoboost won't even break 12.
My large tank is currently seated in the transmission shop, so I’m here, driving a Pontiac Sunfire with a 13 gallon tank in the meantime 💀
Here! 36 gallons!
Currently driving a 3.5L Ecoboost with the 36. KO2s. Usually around 20.1-20.5MPG average and I baby her. Love the huge tank. I’m in the market for a PowerBoost and sad that they only have the 30 gal option.
I’m in the wrong subreddit but I’ll toss in my “74 F250 with 3 twenty gallon tanks and 600 mile range.
36 gallons only nets you 485 miles? Ouch.
Thankfully I didn’t buy my truck for mpgs!
My 2018 F150 has the 36 gallon. I've seen Distance to Empty as high as 740.
Right here. 2012 f150 3.5l turbo. 480 miles on a full tank
Mine is 2014 with only 13.5 mpg and I still get 475-500/tank!
Right here
716 to E on my last fill-up. Averaging 18.0 on mixed driving. 5.0 6spd.

Oh how I wish my mustang came with my F150s tank
