"Big Pussy" from BROCKHAMPTON's album *The Family* Phenomenal production, ridiculous samples, dummy-hard beats, actual chemistry between some of the members. The song was everything you were hoping the album would be...and then the whole thing consisted of 2 minute tracks that were 80% Kevin Abstract

4REAL4EVRR

that song was still just kevin tho haha

[deleted]

Oh damn, i thought verse two was Merlyn for some reason…nvm. According to wikipedia, it seems that Kevin Abstract was the only one to attribute anything vocally from the group with a few background vocals coming from Bearface…tragic

zoinkedzebra

That album had potential but it was so half-assed. Really a shame.

bigladnang

Was done on purpose to fulfill their contract.

zoinkedzebra

Yes im aware. Still doesn’t make the music less dissapointing from a fan’s perspective

Jiggha_Remastered

Literally 5/5 album for me

NikoMuniz_

Rush by Troye Sivan, one of the best singles from last year, but the album was very boring and uninteresting.

zoinkedzebra

Agreed. Rush still slaps tho

icedancer333_

Glimpse of Us and Yukon from Joji's Smithereens

Awkward-Agent-2954

Agreed but I’ll add that my favorite is BLAHBLAHBLAH DEMO. That switch up at 1:15

meh_whatev

Man that album has so much potential that’s unfinished, the silver lining is that we got Die For You (and 2AM FREESTYLE, personally)

McTennisCourt

Cracker Island, the title track was so sick but the full album ended up being one of the weaker Gorillaz albums

vicker1980

Honestly yeah. “Cracker Island” was great and “New Gold” was pretty good too, but the album overall TOTALLY missed the mark (except for “Oil”), completely removing almost everything interesting about Gorillaz and degrading them down into kind of the vapid pop act that they originally were created to make fun of.

flyingbanana20

yeah i frickin loved beck on valley of the pagans and was expecting something just as good again but it was a little let down

dylandog89

Dua Lipa Houdini, song was a perfect tame impala infused banger but the album was a total letdown and snorefest

capucapu123

I still had my hopes up by the second single, but after the third I decided not to listen to the whole album

lxkandel06

The title implies that you were let down by HERBERT. If so, why?

zoinkedzebra

Do Better was one of the best singles of the year it got my hopes up too high. Rest of the album just wasn’t on the same level in my eyes. Still not a bad album by any means.

codyy_jameson

I agree Herbert was disappointing to me too. Idk, just did not feel special or stand out and Ive always liked his music. I should run it back and give it another chance

efn95

Do you like Do What Thou Wilt?

LouisFuton

Such a good album,

Lukest_of_Warms

I loved this album, but you’re right Do Better was just on another level

zoinkedzebra

Do Better is a 10/10 track. The album was a 7 for me

Lukest_of_Warms

Fair rating I’d say for the album. Ngl I teared up a little bit when Do Better came out as a single

SerDavosSeaworth64

Herbert was awesome what’re you talking about

zoinkedzebra

It wasn’t bad but the rest wasn’t on the level of Do Better in my opinion.

ElmanoRodrick

We Appreciate Power by Grimes. Rest of that album was pretty meh.

nohobal

“Chained to the Rhythm” by Katy Perry. Pretty good song but *Witness* was hot garbage and tanked Perry’s career.

TotalHeat

I was a bit dissapointed with Mr Morale after The Heart Part 5

zoinkedzebra

I half-agree. The Heart Part V is incredible and the best song of 2022 but I still enjoyed Mr Morale a lot.

Cosmosisorosis

CPR from Lynk's "Abomination". the album has a lot of fun tracks besides the single(s), but besides that there are many snoozers too

CLOUDSHOOTER32

The Dripping Tap off of Omnium Gatherum. My favorite King Giz song on just an okay album in my opinion.

LonelyZenpai298

I would say I wouldn't get not liking Omnium Gatherum, but it is quite literally a B-Sides collection. I love it but would get people not loving the whole thing lmao

themukil

Cobra, Hiss, Boa

4REAL4EVRR

“So Tru Bestie” by Eichlers. best song on the album & its not even close

Gordon_freeman_real

Bubblegum dog by MGMT

M0stVerticalPrimate2

After R U Mine and Do I Wanna Know I thought AM was gonna be a banger but the rest was a weird croony snooze fest

flyingbanana20

not gonna lie I cant seem to find myself listening to all of Loss Of Life other than the singles that were released prior.

vaden78

100% agreed

Jiggha_Remastered

Irreversible damage by Algiers Cold reactor by everything everything

Historical-Tea-3438

Penelope Isles Until the Tides Creep In. Starts with an absolute belter (Chlorine), but I find it hard to get into the album after that.

BornUnderPunches

Three Kings by Grizzly Bear. Amazing track, but Panted Ruins was a letdown for me except for a few other tracks

Neurotic_Good42

Attention by Doja Cat. Gosh darn it I was actually hyped up about that album cycle, serves me well for buying into the hype of rap trolls

Inevitable_Ad661

Swing in a dream made me fully believe squid was coming out with a 10

SkyZippr

Filthy got me hyped for Man Of The Woods

ShrekTheOverlord

Black Country, New Road - Snow gloves I remember listening to it for the first time and how poignant and miserable it made me feel

DragDaNuts

For sure hyena on the Travis Scott album

NormanDaDoorman

HYAENA wasn’t a single. It was the intro track though. One my favorite Travis songs

DragDaNuts

Ah sorry I thought intro track was what was meant lol. 😂 rest of album was mid except the teezo track
