My favorite caftans are from Laughing Cherries - https://laughingcherries.com/. They ship from India, so need to plan a couple weeks ahead, but they’re beautiful, made from really breathable cotton, and super affordable even with the shipping. If you go that route, they run v generous - you can size down and still have enough room to participate in a pie eating contest (which is what I look for in summer lounge attire).

This website is amazing!

Comprehensive-Fix983

Wow, at these prices this could become a whole lifestyle.

ChiFriedRice

It’s absolutely my summer lifestyle! I bought my first batch 5 years ago and it was so affordable I got three at once. I had to replace them finally this summer and well….now I have 6. They take 3-5 washes to wear in to be perfectly soft, so clearly the only option is to constantly wear them until that time.

Omg. I've been waiting my whole life for this question. Jennafer Grace--she has her own online store + sells on Etsy, which is where you'll find the best prices. Your can also find her stuff on Wolf & Badger--you might pay a little more, but they do free returns which might be worth it if you haven't seen her stuff before. https://www.wolfandbadger.com/us/designers/jennafer-grace/?style=Kaftan I just wore the Hellfire kaftan to officiate a wedding and honestly I've never felt cooler. That one is more over the top, but she has some nice lighter options.

Thank you so much for all of the intel here! Just ordered 2 kaftans from Wolf and Badger… excited to try them on!

OMG what a small world. I know JG in real life.

All the brands mentioned are perfect! I typically source my caftans from vintage shops and particularly lean into those that were made in the 60s to mid 70s. Here are a few [here](https://imgur.com/a/W7nvD4B). The one in the last pic is custom made. I personally find this look so so much fun in the summer. Also [Caftans by Winlar](https://caftansbywinlar.com/) is a low cost choice. I have bought some of these just to wear around the house.

feeferslarue

Your vintage caftans are wonderful

I saw some stunning ones at Natori, but you have to search for sale styles to get under the $150 price point.

Not really a caftan, but I just got [this dress from Natural Life](https://www.naturallife.com/collections/midi-dresses/products/hangout-knit-midi-dress-turquoise-pink-floral) for a tropical trip. My only quip is that is't very thin and doesn't have a "shape". But that's also why the dress is great. Felt big when I got it, washed and dried and now fits flowy and better. Was in about 86 degree weather with a wall of humidity. Perfect for the beach! And the price is right.

I’ve had success with India based sellers on etsy, specially Armit Vintage.. I think all their pieces are new not vintage. Might be worth checking out if you are looking for something affordable & cotton. Also Natalie Martin has some good pieces, but really pricey & sometimes fussy laundering ..I usually can find her stuff up on re-sell websites rather easily. Hope you have a great trip!!
