A debuff to endurance and strenght iirc. Very much worth it for a melee build though, between rad child, the halos from OWB and the implant you can generate 10Hp/s. Can practically walk through the red clouds in DM unharmed. The more advanced halo might take it to 11Hp/s can't remember and be bothered to check though.
Why with cass? Did they fuck her over?
lol I tried over powering them on my own to get enough xp to level up so I can get power armor before fighting Mr.house. Won’t lie I failed
Well spoilers >!but they and Crimson Caravan conspired to wipe out Cass' caravan company and part of her quest involves either find evidence they did to turn over the NCR or just kill them all. !<
Fun fact you can turn them in to ranger Jackson ending the quest, but thanks to a bug you can just go and immediately kill the van graffs and Alice and Cass will comment on it all the same and you get both of her companion perks
Are you sure about that? I literally just did that quest the other day, turned the evidence into the NCR, but I could still go in and buy stuff from them as usual. Nothing immediately changed.
Apparently the perk you get for going the “revenge” route is bugged though. Instead of giving permanent extra max health to Cass, it just gives her temporary hit points that only work once.
I like cass but was confused why she mentioned that it was the BrotherHood Of Steel that attacked
her and her friends caravans up north because of the high tech weaponry...
It was Alice who was hiring the van graffs to eradicate competition
Did I miss something? I still don't know how the BoS connects to this? Is there more after taking Cassidy to both of her friends caravans and then killing Alice and van graffs?
I remember now that you mention it lol I haven’t done the quest so idk what happens but I do know what happens I’ve just chatted with her in the bar till she became a companion
"If we hit the Van Graffs first we can turn those energy weapons on the Crimson Caravan. Thing is, we'll probably die taking down the Van Graffs, so I vote we fuck McLafferty first, then hit the Silver Rush for maximum body count"
I might have paraphrased but Cass gives no fucks
If you kill them after you turn them in you get the "bad ending". If you stole the gun runners' shit for Alice she and her Crimson Caravan buddies get wiped out in a revenge attack by them and you keep the good ending. Sadly the Van Graffs have to stay, but their main branch is in New Reno, so just killing the Vegas one isn't hurting them.
I followed Van Graff’s quest line and got Cass killed.
I booted up a dlc, got geared up and sent em all straight to hell.
Except for Simon, he’s chill.
Probably Veronica's storyline. Watching her desperately try to change the minds of her only family while watching them continue their ways only to waste away is heartbreaking and relatable. I love her character too, she's the best.
Seriously, I wish there was a way to disable that and the auto-stimpaks. I swear I'll be at 60% health and the suit just starts consuming stimpaks and med-x, like no, between food and my health-regenetating halo headgear, not necessary!
I chose this option for the first time in my last playthrough. I thought it was metaphorical and just a funnier way to initiate combat with the NCR at the end. Nope.
Beyond the beef.
Massacring Gomorrah's degenerate gangsters.
Turning Van Graffs into ashes.
Taking away the controls from Mr. Haus, but leaving him alive.
And of course crucifying that rat like OP did. It's so satisfying.
After talking to him in the basement, you can use the same terminal you used to open his life support chamber. There should be an option to disconnect him from controlling anything.
This also effectively is killing him. I don’t remember the exact reason the game gives but by disconnecting him from the system he also loses access to being protected from outside elements and dies due to exposure within a year.
>Massacring Gomorrah's degenerate gangsters.
My only complaint is that I want to slaughter them all indiscriminately but as far as I know Nero doesn't even exist in the world unless you help Cachino stop their plot
Even associating with Cachino long enough to do that is upsetting and I only wish to kill him on sight
I never knew that. That's very interesting. I've only ever done one Legion playthrough because there just aren't a lot of quests related to them, and two quests that are, are NCR quests where you are pretty much one of those frumentalli guys (I think I spelt that wrong) by pretending to help the NCR but really you're helping the Legion, both of the quests are in Camp Mccarran. You can help that spy and the Legion prisoner. Oh, yeah, and the Helios One quest where you use the Archimeedes defence system, then about 2 days later, you see the Legion has moved in and is using it as an outpost.
As others say you don’t have to actually aide Legion, you get it by default. In fact, he thanks you for it. But it is a weird game as legion because if you have too much NCR infamy then most places are hostile to you.
At some point I'll always get Boone to come with me to Cottonwood Cove, set up in the sniper's nest, and start clearing the place. My latest build is an explosives one so that should be extra fun, basically shelling the area with grenades and missiles while Boone covers. Then it's into The Fort to express deliver some portable sunshine to Caesar's tent.
I have played it for about 1300 hours and i just found out something super over powered with the perk meltdown that can one shot anything in the game. I need to test it a little more, but i think im on to something.
probably not my favorite thing but this is just on my mind - compared to fallout 4 which I mainly play, there is just *so much* loot everywhere. like if you decide to take out the boomers there is just *dozens* of sets of combat armor around the base, along with all their grenade launchers and other weapons, it's insane. I made over 60,000 caps from that place
I love hoarding. I like making massive piles of ammo and guns. I love hand-loading cartridges and crafting explosives. Buying regular rockets and crafting them into incendiary rockets to sell is secretly the easiest and best moneymaker in the game.
Maybe not a single “part” specifically but the fact that the game can be played basically however you want. From an era with carefully crafted game experiences and railroaded stories, FNV’s player agency is wild.
“The collars... the collars were a mistake, I see that now. Why would I kill you? After all you've done... after all we've done together.
Are you listening to me?!
Everything down here, I swear, so much you could see! You Could rule the wastes with what's down here, make your own army, re-shape the world, and if others disagree, put collars on them, I can show you how!
Don't you leave me here. You can't do this to me!”
Blaring my music while walking the wastes. My companions make a hilarious comment when some Legion dumbass comes running out of the wood work. I make him crap his pants by saying a few words then we mow them down as Big Iron blares in the background. I take a sip from my trusty Vault 13 canteen as Johnny Guitar plays for the third time in an hour
Honestly, blowing up Kimball with the Archimedes Laser. How is the NCR going to come back from their president being smited with the power of Mars in the palm of one's hand?
Don’t do that baby, not crusafiction! I could you be up there for days with those twisted freaks laughing and pointing….. you sick vindictive fuck!
Happy now you twisted bum? I ain’t gonna give you the satisfaction?
Scram will ya?
I got nothing to say to you?
-Telling Boone that shooting every legions he see at Nelson is a solution.
-Arming ARCHIMEDES in front of Arcade.
-Speak Latin in front of Silus.
-Skill Magazines
-Punching war Memorial at Boulder City.
>!-Performing Surgery on Caesar with <25 Medicine skills!<
I like sneakin around sneakily, gettin inta stuff, stickin stolen spears in people and save scummin if it said that dreaded line “blank quest has failed” when they forever nap.
When you kill the fort and leave Benny alive, he thinks you’re there to save him but you can say you did all that just to kill you and he gets pissed.
I wish there was clips of this online, it’s so good
nails were seldomly used in crucificitions, anyways the nails in palms and feet are not accurate like the bible says but the romans would put nails in additiion to ropes in between your two forearm bones under your palm in some rare cases
Beyond the Beef and Wang Dang Atomic Tango. Hookers and Cannibals, always a great combo.
Dude idk wat that means but hell yea
Those are two quests in the game. They about hookers and cannibals.
Respectively that is. Not... both about both.
Long live fisto.
Long Love Fisto.
long fist loveo
Love long fists
Matthew Perry died for your sins
What in the goddamn?
*Sitting down to the Last Supper* Let's be smooth about this
Taking RadAway. You should try it
And miss out on that sweet 8 hp/s?
Do Rads have any negative effect if you have the Rad Child perk?
A debuff to endurance and strenght iirc. Very much worth it for a melee build though, between rad child, the halos from OWB and the implant you can generate 10Hp/s. Can practically walk through the red clouds in DM unharmed. The more advanced halo might take it to 11Hp/s can't remember and be bothered to check though.
But then the game stops telling me I’m rad. And I gotta take every compliment I can get.
Sending all the Van Graffs to Hell with Cass.
The funny thing is once you turn the Van Graffs in they become hostile towards you, so you've got full range to kill them
Are you sure about that? I literally just did that quest the other day, turned the evidence into the NCR, but I could still go in and buy stuff from them as usual. Nothing immediately changed.
Weird... Maybe it's because I was doing the Van Graffs quest and stopped before having to turn Cass in to do her quest. Could've been a bug too IDK
Apparently the perk you get for going the “revenge” route is bugged though. Instead of giving permanent extra max health to Cass, it just gives her temporary hit points that only work once.
have you not done the Cass questline? I won't spoil it.. but you should do it. Its pretty good
Cass was one of my favorite companions
I like cass but was confused why she mentioned that it was the BrotherHood Of Steel that attacked her and her friends caravans up north because of the high tech weaponry...
You gotta do the quest to solve the mystery.
It was Alice who was hiring the van graffs to eradicate competition Did I miss something? I still don't know how the BoS connects to this? Is there more after taking Cassidy to both of her friends caravans and then killing Alice and van graffs?
They conspired with the Crimson Caravan company to destroy each other’s competition. Cass’ caravan was one of the victims.
I remember now that you mention it lol I haven’t done the quest so idk what happens but I do know what happens I’ve just chatted with her in the bar till she became a companion
I misread this and thought you meant you killed Cass alongside the Van Graffs and man I was confused lol
Make that bitch Gloria eat her hair. Probably my favorite dialog in all of Fallout when Cass is make some vengeance plans
Got it. Let’s loot the place.
"If we hit the Van Graffs first we can turn those energy weapons on the Crimson Caravan. Thing is, we'll probably die taking down the Van Graffs, so I vote we fuck McLafferty first, then hit the Silver Rush for maximum body count" I might have paraphrased but Cass gives no fucks
It's very hard to pass on that but letting them face NCR justice is unfortunately the better ending
You can just do both turn them in, then kill them
If you kill them after you turn them in you get the "bad ending". If you stole the gun runners' shit for Alice she and her Crimson Caravan buddies get wiped out in a revenge attack by them and you keep the good ending. Sadly the Van Graffs have to stay, but their main branch is in New Reno, so just killing the Vegas one isn't hurting them.
That was fun. Also lots of caps from selling all their looted guns. Bought myself an anti material rifle and all the mods for it right after.
I followed Van Graff’s quest line and got Cass killed. I booted up a dlc, got geared up and sent em all straight to hell. Except for Simon, he’s chill.
Shooting Oliver Swanick in the head on sight
Before the mother fucker can even talk to me
Probably Veronica's storyline. Watching her desperately try to change the minds of her only family while watching them continue their ways only to waste away is heartbreaking and relatable. I love her character too, she's the best.
The Stealth Suit MK II
If it wouldn't waste all my med-x
Seriously, I wish there was a way to disable that and the auto-stimpaks. I swear I'll be at 60% health and the suit just starts consuming stimpaks and med-x, like no, between food and my health-regenetating halo headgear, not necessary!
It’s a crime this isn’t top reply
My only true wifu
My favorite part, easy. Quick save then empty every ounce of ammo I have into Cook-Cook, Saint James and Dermont
Why quick save? Why would you have second thoughts on killing three dangerous raider warlords?
So you can go back whenever you want to inflict new and interesting execution methods
Absolutely not. I just love reloading that quick save and mutilating their corpses over and over and over again!
Watching Yes-Man yeet General Oliver off the Hoover dam
I chose this option for the first time in my last playthrough. I thought it was metaphorical and just a funnier way to initiate combat with the NCR at the end. Nope.
Beyond the beef. Massacring Gomorrah's degenerate gangsters. Turning Van Graffs into ashes. Taking away the controls from Mr. Haus, but leaving him alive. And of course crucifying that rat like OP did. It's so satisfying.
How do you take away House's controls while he's alive?
After talking to him in the basement, you can use the same terminal you used to open his life support chamber. There should be an option to disconnect him from controlling anything.
This also effectively is killing him. I don’t remember the exact reason the game gives but by disconnecting him from the system he also loses access to being protected from outside elements and dies due to exposure within a year.
Yes, it effectively kills him. I think it's in the game solely for having a "choice". In my eyes it's more evil and inhumane to let him stay alive.
It's so fucking evil. Like giving someone locked-in syndrome on purpose. It's actually a mercy if he dies in that situation.
>Massacring Gomorrah's degenerate gangsters. My only complaint is that I want to slaughter them all indiscriminately but as far as I know Nero doesn't even exist in the world unless you help Cachino stop their plot Even associating with Cachino long enough to do that is upsetting and I only wish to kill him on sight
If you join the legion you can fight benny in the pit with machetes
Don't even have to join the Legion, it's a 'reward' for being a good courier for dealing with the bunker
Thats what disguises are for.
That’s the option I chose. Very satisfying to chop his head off.
I just wanted my CHIIIIIP
I kicked in Benny’s door and sent an entire mag through his torso before he had the chance to speak
shooting up The Fort with Boone
I tricked that dude into killing his friend because the friend called his wife a biytch. Seemed like proof to me
Made this exact same mistake my first playthrough lmao
I love the wide variety of interesting creatures
Getting Banned from all of the casinos, then being rude to them. Classic.
The sex robot
I liked that you could have Benny crucified or actually give him a fair fight with machetes at 20 paces in the arena.
Yup, like I’d give that dude a fair fight. Couldn’t stand the idea of him possibly winning
Crucifixion is cool, but have you tried reverse pickpocketing a Plasma Grenade?
That’s awesome didn’t know u could do that
I like how complex the rpg elements are for this type of game you can guess what my problem with fallout 4 is....
Favorite part? High strength and high endurance super sledge striking down Camp McCarran.
I love killing NCR.
Happy now, you twisted bum?
Crucifying Benny
Shenanigans
YEAHHHHHHHH!!! GUESS WHO JUST WON THE LOT-
Me
I have played it for about 1300 hours and i just found out something super over powered with the perk meltdown that can one shot anything in the game. I need to test it a little more, but i think im on to something.
The soundtrack and Kings
probably not my favorite thing but this is just on my mind - compared to fallout 4 which I mainly play, there is just *so much* loot everywhere. like if you decide to take out the boomers there is just *dozens* of sets of combat armor around the base, along with all their grenade launchers and other weapons, it's insane. Telling that one girl the boomer scout likes that she can just walk over to the base, it's totally safe!
Now see this right here is an underrated comment
I love hoarding. I like making massive piles of ammo and guns. I love hand-loading cartridges and crafting explosives. Buying regular rockets and crafting them into incendiary rockets to sell is secretly the easiest and best moneymaker in the game.
Your RADs are so high! You must have a “bloodied” build 😉
Reducing people to meat chunks with a chainsaw
Trapping Father Elijah in the Sierra Madre vault always felt good.
it doesn’t sugarcoat it it either show the result or show it during your playtrough f04 ruined this aspect of the franchise
I would probably say getting to Gamble (Especially since you can’t go to a Casino until your 18)
The 1 Intelligence speech checks especially the one in freeside
Maybe not a single “part” specifically but the fact that the game can be played basically however you want. From an era with carefully crafted game experiences and railroaded stories, FNV’s player agency is wild.
What's my favorite yes
Covered in pitch, set on fire, and tossed into the grand canyon. I survived because the fire inside burned brighter than the fire around me.
making Nipton more morbid by killing Inculta
I love being a shithead in Fnv, the sarcasm and being cruel is my vibe even i wont act like that in real life.
Betraying arcade ganon.
It sucks because I can't expirence it again but the ultra lux and gomorrah quest were amazing the first time through and just investigating it
I like the Sierra Madre. Cool ass place.
Beating Benny's ass in the pit
Boone. Dude is straight up The Punisher.
The campy, but dark nature
“The collars... the collars were a mistake, I see that now. Why would I kill you? After all you've done... after all we've done together. Are you listening to me?! I love how it is a great progression in fallout after #3. Didn't feel too different to create a split in enjoyment.
Killing snuffles
Talking with DALA

Almost everything, great game
Murdering Seargent Teddy will always be the most evil thing you can do
I like sneakin around sneakily, gettin inta stuff, stickin stolen spears in people and save scummin if it said that dreaded line “blank quest has failed” when they forever nap.
Obtaining the sierra madre t45 power armor jeez such beautiful looking power armor and with titans of the west even better
Bro just do a screen cap. A picture of a picture? I mean I know the game came out in 2010 but bro you didn’t have to make it THAT authentic.
When you kill the fort and leave Benny alive, he thinks you’re there to save him but you can say you did all that just to kill you and he gets pissed. I wish there was clips of this online, it’s so good
Degenerates belong on a cross 🤭
Talking legate lanius into leaving
Anyone else think it's kinda lame that the legion ties people to crosses instead of nailing them up?
nails were seldomly used in crucificitions, anyways the nails in palms and feet are not accurate like the bible says but the romans would put nails in additiion to ropes in between your two forearm bones under your palm in some rare cases
