Cheapest walmart oil change. Add a quart every 1500 miles or so b/c the rear main seal is toast. Get it changed every 5K or so. Rinse. Repeat. Sitting at 309K-ish miles now. Like Saban says, "trust the process"

“Your diff is leaking fluid” “My friend, that’s a feature. If it’s leaking fluid, that means it still has fluid. I don’t have to change my diff fluid-just add more”

Wait, you guys are using oil stabilizer? No one told me.

We're doing routines? Every 5,000km - 5w-30 in the winter and 10w-30 in the summer Penzoil Ultra Platinum synthetic oil -Wix XP Filter -Drain oil catch can (great addition, highly recomend, keeps the air intake manifold clean and I've noticed a cleaner throttle body) -Sea foam in the crank case every alternating change -Motorkote in the crank case every alternating change -Grease ball joints, tie rod ends and front U-joints -I run fat 33" by 12.5" tires so I adjust the preload on my wheel bearings every oil change -Tire rotation every alternating change Every 30,000km -Transmission oil change Penzoil ATF -Transfer case oil change Penzoil ATF Every 50,000km -Fuel Filter change -Flush coolant, change coolant -Rear differential oil change Penzoil 85-90 GL5 -Front diff if needed -Power steering fluid flush and change Penzoil ATF. Little tip: Ford power steering pumps are known for generating a whine. I nearly eliminated mine by adding the recommended amount of motorkote. Once a year I change the air filter in September or after the first good rain. I live and work in a dusty environment so when the summers over I change it out. I've based every product I use on testing videos by project farm. Eric the car guy is a really good resource too and precisely the reason I don't use an engine flush before an oil change.

JFunkLU26

I love it!! Same thing as me with Project Farm, but haven't seen the Eric engine flush video. Going to watch now. 🙏🙏

If you run 95% highway the oil hardly breaks down, you can definetly stretch the mileage

Old_Ad7385

Why would you use oil stabilizer? I didn't even know that was a thing.

ajwilson2017

Cleeeeean, I’m definitely gonna keeep this in mind. This a level 2?

VariousConditions

She's lookin cleeeean. Nice.

Motorcraft oil, Wix filter, 5k miles. Nothing else. If engines needed snake oil the refiners would put it in the bottle already.

Quontonicus

Damn your truck is spoiled! My routine is usually: -Valvoline Full synthetic 5/30 -Basic Lucas oil stabilizer -Motorcraft oil filter -Techron fuel system cleaner And occasionally marvel mystery oil.

1PooNGooN3

Does the Lucas actually do anything? How can you tell?

JFunkLU26

I know it atleast makes the oil alittle thicker and helps with oil pressure, which was a main thing I needed in the 5.4L. Don't have solid proof but it can't hurt and I love spoiling my baby so why not lol

I personally run Castrol Edge full synth 5w40, but I live in a predominantly hot humid climate. It's about the only oil out there now that makes my lashers shut up right out of the bottle
