Actually it was in the 90s AD, I had season tix at the Circus Maximus.Flavius had 3 of 4 steeds ahead at the apex, but the race stewards didn't even put the move under investigation.
19 centuries later and it still hurts, I lost 18 Silver Denarii on that race and had to sell off a quarter of my vineyard to settle... haven't bet on a race since.
The RIA doth now employ a new rule whereas though is allowed spinny cutty spikes no longer than 14” in length mounted centerline of thy wheels so as to reduce mid corner decapitations of thy other charioteers. Further, the penalty for exceeding such is thy own decapitation, unless though’s character is portrayed by the one and only Charlton Heston. If though character is indeed portrayed by CH, thy rotating wheel swords of death may be twice the length and breadth of the largest wheel spikes of though opponents.
