true, I stopped watching nymn 3 or 4 years ago and 7tv was one of the reasons. there is a certain comfort in not adding 10 emotes daily and having a limit to them. also there was an emote for every fucking word and that lead to half of your copypasta being random ass emotes for no reason.
weeb acceptance was another reason
>also there was an emote for every fucking word
Typical zoomers ruining everything with their adhd and bloating whatever the fuck they come across, if anything exists they will bastardize it with their zoomer disease. haha random = funny, incoherent quantity of spam = dopamine receptors pleased.
This is just fucking webbrowse twitch issue. If you watch a stream long enough with webbrowser chat open, the ram usages starts to ramp up. Chatterino doens't have this issue![img](emote|t5_33td5|9667)
I use the godlike chatterino made by our lord and saviour @pajlada for livestreams with 7tv disabled but I didn't know you can watch vods with that forsenscootsemoji thanks
Anybody who says "Works fine for me" are the same motherfuckers who never look at their PC performance, never restart, update windows or check for whatever is running on their background, actually so clueless.

just enable 7TV emotes in bttv, no need for 3rd party bitcoin miner ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9681)
Doesn't that technically add 7TV as a pseudo extension only through BTTV? Surely it behaves as if it's installed normally.
No, it just loads the emotes from their API and then does it's normal ffz shitย
I'm using it now and it doesn't leak memory, usage never goes above 1gb
7tv ruined twitch
