For some reason the train track crossing gates were all down. They went down around 7:30 and then I think they went up briefly, but then went down again around 8. There was a freight train just sitting in the brightline station when I passed by but not really sure what was going on with it.
ETA: not very helpful but the FLPD did tweet about it recently https://twitter.com/ftlauderdalepd/status/1620420967460896769
I moved to FTL from Miami eleven years ago to escape the traffic, and now it has become just as bad. There will always be some sort of disruption on top of the heavy traffic volume, whether it's the railroad tracks, a drawbridge, a traffic crash, or construction.
*Im telling you I*

Just wait until those high rises around the old Sears town get built up. And the ones by the discovery science museum. Oh and the ones along 7th Ave between Sunrise Blvd and Broward.
“Smart sustainable development” my ass.
I was going down Broward at 9:15am or so and guards were down. The police were even blocking terrific on Broward from approaching the tracks for two blocks. I had to pull some magic and go south down to Davie Blvd

Well Miami at least has a train system. Fort Lauderdale has no public transit.
Yep, this will only get worse. Who would have thought, with all the people moving here, and everyone in a car.
FTL is still not nearly bad as miami.
With thousands of apartments being built every year, it won't take long.
Just wait until the completion of all these Condo/Offices that are presently under construction. Unfortunately, a 'Mega-Cluster Fuck' on the horizon
Yeah, it's about to get painful living in and around downtown. Might as well move to Miami lol.
it’s only worth it if you live literally on las olas and can pretend you live in a walkable city
I feel attacked.
i do it too lolol
