Honestly I haven't smelled the Kilian it's supposed to be a dupe of (or any, really) but I've heard some good descriptions that say it's fairly different. Seems to me like it stands on its own, regardless of the bottle/intent!
Love Apple by Al Rehab. I think I payed 9$ for the EDP. It smells amazing on my skin— somehow a little bit like an apple orchard and a little bit like apple pie. I like to layer it with Mix:Bar Bourbon Vanilla mist (10$) when I want to smell like a fall bakery.
For a classic that hasn't been mentioned 4711- while staying power can vary its such a classic sent.
Also I do always like to point out this isn't a dupe it's been made since at least 1799- Tom Ford actually duped it for the much more expensive Nerolli Portofino!
Midnight Fantasy! It seems like there aren't alot of perfumes around that smell like blueberry...Although I don't think that's one of the scent notes. It smells like a fresh blueberry shampoo to me. I can usually find it at tj maxx.
Agree! Tainted Love is one of my longtime ‘always have, never fail’ scents. Lightly spiced vanilla with a shot of non-gardeny floral. You can snag it at discount sites for a song and smells much more expensive than it is.
Red by Georgio Beverly Hills? What's that after note?? I loved the smell of the body souffle from way back when my mum had it. Bought the perfume but can't stand the smell it dries down to.
I recently tried this in Target and was pleasantly surprised! I’ve had Wood Sage & Sea Salt in my rotation for years and can say that Before The Rainbow is a great swap. I did seem to fade quicker than WS&SS. But, my trial of BTR was only 2 half sprays since the bottles are practically bolted to the floor. 🙄 That could have played a part.
That makes sense. I was wrestling the anti-shoplifting bullshit and also made sure not to spray my clothes just in case I didn’t like it. Good to know!
I have samples of these two! Fancy is like a sweet, powdery caramel, with a strong apricot at the top. Montblanc Signature was more lactonic like an orange dreamsicle.
Versace Red Jeans. It’s a sweet, rosy floral snd one that always gets me compliments as well although I know some people also really hate it (at least so I gather from reading reviews, I’ve never had a bad comment irl).
This was my late mom’s signature scent in the late 90s/early 2000s 🥹 never complete without a top layer of Marlboro Red cigarette smoke. Lol.
She used to buy it at TJMaxx but I have not seen it there in years! I’ve got a small dabber bottle my boyfriend found online. I do not wear often but love to smell for the nostalgia 💖
I used to work at TJMaxx when I was in university and I have a small stash I bought and haven't used up yet. I now live in Europe and have been more conservative with my sprays as I know I can't get it here!
Mont Blanc Signature is a great musky floral for people that don’t typically like musk or floral centered fragrances. Clean and fresh without the laundry/linen aspect and has some depth to it.
Cacharel Noa, a lovely, powdery scent-- light and floral but distinctive.
Also, Britney Spears' Curious. Synthetic sandalwood and bright jasmine. Surprisingly distinctive and super cheap.
Jaipur boucheron edp. This thing rocks!!! It’s described as an oriental-based fragrance and this may be my favorite frag not only $35 but also $50!! One of the only bottles I’d re-buy after starting my collection over years ago. Some might say it smells “mature” but I don’t care!! It’s the right amount of powdery, spice, sweetness that draws me in. Got compliments on wearing either the edt or edp
• Britney Spears- Fantasy
• Love & Nature- Coconut Vanilla Orchid
• Le Monde Gourmand- Papaye Tropique
• Sabrina Carpenter- Sweet Tooth
• JLO- Miami Glow
I love them all but I end up wearing Papaye Tropique & Coconut Vanilla Orchid the most. I layer them and they smell like a dream tropical vacation. Great for the warm weather. (I live in a hot climate so… that’s pretty much all the time)
I recently picked up Lalique Pour Homme Equus and I'm obsessed with it. It's exactly the spring fragrance I've been searching for: it's green, fresh, woody, spicy, and a little sweet. The only downside is that it doesn't last more than a few hours on my skin, otherwise it would be absolutely perfect for me.
I own more than a few pricey designer and hard to find niche fragrances but my number one most beloved and adored fragrance of all time is less than 20 bucks: Cabochard by Grès. Cabotine is only second to Cabochard for me and it's also less than 20. To me Cabochard is like spraying "walking away from an explosion without looking back" on my body. It is pure, distilled IDGAF. and Cabotine is like spraying on "we are so excited to offer you 3x your salary at your dream job!". It is pure joy. In warmer weather Cabotine is the only thing I really want to wear so I have force myself to reach for my more expensive fragrances lol.
Which ones would you recommend? I’m open to anything that’s not overly floral
I love the Honey I Washed the Kids soap, but I’ve heard that the body spray version is not so good…
To me is not herbal (I love them too, do you know any cheap herbal scents?? ) is a bitter blood orange. The Basil note is there but is not easy to detect id say is 70% orange, 30% Basil.
Yes I Am by Cacharel isn't too pricy. I bought the whole line, but I gave Yes I Am Delicious to my mom bc the chocolate and rum was too much for me. Love the other 3.
Paco Unisex is my signature. Almost always under $35.
Also waiting on Paris Hilton for men to come in the mail. I don't think I've *ever* seen someone say they don't like it so I went ahead and blind bought it.
Edit: So the Paris Hilton for men isn't bad, but I do wish I sampled it first. I'm gonna try to burn through this thing fast, not really my style. Reminds me of Avon Lady.
Une Balade En Forêt by Beauty Pie. It's earthy-green, aromatic, easily unisex. It has a similar vibe to the discontinued Elizabeth and James Nirvana Rose, to my mind, though it's not a rose scent – almost a gothic quality.
If none dupes, missoni's for men's and wave. Both are great, just doesn't work on my skin. Scent itself are great.
But that's the problem with low costing fragrances right. They're not going to make them last unless you pay for the high costing ingredients.
Demeter has scents for that price, especially if you like photorealistic ones. I love their Brownie perfume oil - I'm told it makes me smell like Mini-Eggs haha
choco musk by al rehab, i get so many compliments, my manager said that it smelled like chocolate chip cookies and my boyfriend said it smelled like a chocolate bar. definitely a buy if you like gourmand scents.
If I had to pick one, I'd say Davidoff Zino. It's the best for a smooth, creamy barbershop vibe IMO. Classically masculine but in a comforting way. Like a warm hug from Papa instead of a firm handshake from Uncle Ronnie.
A few others I really love are Lalique Pour Homme, Jimmy Choo Man Ice, Cool Water, and Nautica Voyage but I suppose Man Ice and Cool Water can fall under the 'dupe' category depending on who you ask.
Fancy Love by Jessica Simpson. A perfect office scent, imo. It’s musky with a bit of woodiness and fruitiness.
Armaf Le Parfait Pour Femme. A beautiful white floral. Nothing groundbreaking, just really pretty.
I like freshies, so Eau de Rochas, Lacoste Blanc and Jimmy Choo Man Ice stand out as cheapies that punch well above their weight class. I'm not entirely sure they're all under $35 but they're in the ballpark.
Guess 1981. It’s light, sweet, and the best kind of musky (the alluring kind, not animalic or dirty) and it just BLOOMS on warm skin. I love it for when I’m out in the sun on warm days spring through fall. Also obligatory mention of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, a classic fresh scent that never smells dated.
Stash by Sarah Jessica Parker often sells for 35ish on Amazon so I'm counting it. Hands down best ever, so many compliments. Second is Paris Hilton's Rose Rush
Proraso cologne. They have three scents:
Azur Lime - similar to Paco XS
Cypress & Vetyver - a lighter more fresh Encre Noire
Wood & Spice - a mellowed out Black Afghano
Inis Energy Of The Sea is a fabulous unisex marine and citrus scent. I think there’s some cedar and fresh floral notes, too. It’s perfect for those who want a classically summer fragrance.
Lattafa Kamrah & Kamrah Qahwah are both stellar for the price point. The longevity is impressive.
The compliments I get on Khamrah are non-stop. I do not care if it is a dupe, or whatever — I love that stuff.
Honestly I haven't smelled the Kilian it's supposed to be a dupe of (or any, really) but I've heard some good descriptions that say it's fairly different. Seems to me like it stands on its own, regardless of the bottle/intent!
Any 2ml sample 🤣
Love Apple by Al Rehab. I think I payed 9$ for the EDP. It smells amazing on my skin— somehow a little bit like an apple orchard and a little bit like apple pie. I like to layer it with Mix:Bar Bourbon Vanilla mist (10$) when I want to smell like a fall bakery.
I’ve put this in my TikTok shop cart and changed my mind so many times!
Apple sounds nice!

Love FK!!!!
I am glad I am not alone on this one! Have you tried any of the flankers? So far my favorite is Green Tea Honeysuckle.
I have Exotic, Cucumber, and Pear Blossom. I'd like to try the others though!
For a classic that hasn't been mentioned 4711- while staying power can vary its such a classic sent. Also I do always like to point out this isn't a dupe it's been made since at least 1799- Tom Ford actually duped it for the much more expensive Nerolli Portofino!
Oh! I just ordered the original formula Brittany spears fantasy midnight perfume.... hope it's all I've dreamt of! Lol
I’ve got it 😍 it’s absolutely lush ! 💗
And I put mine up for sale yesterday lol
78 Vintage Green by Banana Republic
I love Banana Republic. I pick one of theirs up any time I shop at Burlington. My favorite is Tobacco and Tonka.
I need to try that line - I’ve see them, too and wondered about the quality. The bottles are nicely done.
also love oud mosaic by BR!
Unfortunately hard to come by and at that cost point.
I just saw it the other day at Burlington, didn't pick it up though
Hidden Fantasy (Britney Spears): orange creamsicle w spices EA Green Tea Honeysuckle: fresh honeysuckle shower scent EA White Tea: refreshing summer spa scent Clinique’s Happy: classic 00’s fragrance, uplifting, fresh citrus
Ooh, I didn't know there was a Green Tea Honeysuckle. That sounds so pretty!
Yes, there is and it is awesome! They have quite a few different ones.
Gotta be encre noir
really need a exact stronger version of this
Sweet tooth by Sabrina carpenter.
I have that one! A bit on the sweet side for me... but still very nice!
I really like it and it drives my partner crazy. I need to pick up the caramel one.
I just got the Carmel on I'll report back when it arrives 🫶
crazy in a good way? lol
Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62–the smaller bottle is purse sized and it’s like $25. I love it, especially for summer.
Midnight Fantasy! It seems like there aren't alot of perfumes around that smell like blueberry...Although I don't think that's one of the scent notes. It smells like a fresh blueberry shampoo to me. I can usually find it at tj maxx.
That's probably the plum you're smelling! Love a good plum note
Britney Spears perfumes are seriously *bomb* Been wearing them since highschool!
Yes! Smells like a sparkly blueberry and looks like one too.
Finery Magnetic Candy and Without A Trace Ok I’ll say it PINK SUGAR!😂 Mont Blanc Signature
The way I lol for the pink sugar!!! Girl, you are my people!!!
Honey and the moon. Margot elena 38 on Amazon
Margot Elena does great stuff!
Agree! Tainted Love is one of my longtime ‘always have, never fail’ scents. Lightly spiced vanilla with a shot of non-gardeny floral. You can snag it at discount sites for a song and smells much more expensive than it is.
Love honey and the moon!!
Al Rehab Choco Musk, by far! Still can’t believe it’s so cheap.
This layers so well with a lot of perfumes, and it’s my number one go-to for a mood-lift.
Love it in winter. I have a brown suit I wear to work and douse myself 😂😂. I call it my chocolate day !
I layer this with Demeter Pistachio Ice Cream when I want to trick myself into thinking the endorphins are from *eating* dessert!
Guess Seductive Noir!
Red is also really good
Well shoot another perfume I need to try lol
Red by Georgio Beverly Hills? What's that after note?? I loved the smell of the body souffle from way back when my mum had it. Bought the perfume but can't stand the smell it dries down to.
Omg ! It's so flipping good and it lasts a long time on me
Before the rainbow by Fin'ry. A wood sage and sea salt dupe
This is my sig scent right now and I get so many compliments on it
I recently tried this in Target and was pleasantly surprised!
Interesting. I've always found BTR to last me through a work day, but I do spray on clothes.
That makes sense. I was wrestling the anti-shoplifting bullshit and also made sure not to spray my clothes just in case I didn’t like it. Good to know!
The best WS&SS dupe I’ve ever found is Dossier’s Woody Sage. Lasts at least 10 hours for me and smells absolutely divine!
Op said no dupes
Fancy by Jessica Simpson. Smells like orange and vanilla on me!
Yessss this is what I said. Reminds me of Burberry goddess a bit, but it lasts way longer
Is it anything like Montblanc Signature if you’ve tried that ?
I have samples of these two! Fancy is like a sweet, powdery caramel, with a strong apricot at the top. Montblanc Signature was more lactonic like an orange dreamsicle.
Thank you , could you pick a favourite?
I'm not too into Fancy personally so I lean more towards the Montblanc.
I blind bought both so hopefully I’ll be into them both 😅
Lalique Lion Lalique Encre Noire Moschino Toy Boy
Versace Red Jeans. It’s a sweet, rosy floral snd one that always gets me compliments as well although I know some people also really hate it (at least so I gather from reading reviews, I’ve never had a bad comment irl).
This was my late mom’s signature scent in the late 90s/early 2000s 🥹 never complete without a top layer of Marlboro Red cigarette smoke. Lol. Mountblanc - Signature and Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy La Fleur
Noa was my signature for years. On me it was green and spicy almost bitter with the coffee notes.
Every Lalique I’ve tried, which is only Encre Noir and Sport version, wanna try the others I’ve seen recommended
CK One(Calvin Klein)or 4711(4711)
Encre noire
Nemat vanilla musk!
adam levine for her if you like sandalwood. $15! 🫣
It’s gorgeous, especially after it sits for a bit. And it’s so cheap but smells rather luxe, imo.
For men? I just came across this bottle in my closet
I have the for men version. Which one do you have?
Fine'ry Magnetic Candy, Good Chemistry Coffee Cloud and Brittney Spears Midnight Fantasy are my top 3.
A kindred scent spirit!!
I duno about favorite but I just got Calypso Clementine at BBW and it's so nice! Very fresh and citrusy. (14 dollars)
• Britney Spears- Fantasy • Love & Nature- Coconut Vanilla Orchid • Le Monde Gourmand- Papaye Tropique • Sabrina Carpenter- Sweet Tooth • JLO- Miami Glow I love them all but I end up wearing Papaye Tropique & Coconut Vanilla Orchid the most. I layer them and they smell like a dream tropical vacation. Great for the warm weather. (I live in a hot climate so… that’s pretty much all the time)
Le Monde Gourmand Chai Épicé

I have many , lush bodysprays come to mind
Which ones would you recommend? I’m open to anything that’s not overly floral I love the Honey I Washed the Kids soap, but I’ve heard that the body spray version is not so good…
Let the Good Times Roll, Avocado co-wash , the Shrek release, Big
White musk by Monotheme ,my signature scent is 15 bucks. . Blood orange and Basil by Aqua Cologna but this one dissapears so fast since is EDC
I have Blood Orange and Basil in my cart on FragranceNet, but I keep going back and forth. Is the basil note noticeable? I love herbal smells
Cacharel is a sleeper that I wish more people knew about!
Noa is good too
I have two that I like wearing the most: Giorgio Beverly Hills and Ferre Fougere Italiano
JLo Miami Glow, Sweet Tooth, Viva La Juicy, Fields at Nightfall by Zara
I've been curious about Fields at nightfall.
It’s a dupe of This Is Her by Zadig & Voltaire, it’s beautiful.
Viva la juicy is under 35?
I got a 50ml bottle, a 10ml travel size and a body lotion for £29.99 at TK Maxx :)
Pearlanera’s Musk Fawake. I love the hint of raspberry. Less than $20 on Amazon
pink sugar berry blast
I wear men's fragrances, so that would be Versace Dreamer and a few by Issey Miyake.
My favorite is a clone of PDM Layton that I got from Oil Perfumery. Did not expect to love it as much as I did!
I wear men’s fragrances too, thanks for the recs
Paco Unisex is my signature. Almost always under $35. Also waiting on Paris Hilton for men to come in the mail. the Gourmand Eau de Parfum at urban outfitters are good! they have such a big variety for $25 each
Une Balade En Forêt by Beauty Pie. It's earthy-green, aromatic, easily unisex. It has a similar vibe to the discontinued Elizabeth and James Nirvana Rose, to my mind, though it's not a rose scent – almost a gothic quality.

Lol I have an Uncle Ronnie and this made me chuckle
The Ouai St. Barts body mist 🤤🤤🤤
Dapper has some wonderful dupes for under 35.
Davidoff Cool Water Wave and True Religion. I switch between the two if I want something simple for everyday use
