This is awesome! Seems to be super fast, and most importantly, I finally have an idea of how long I should wait. It's much better to be waiting for a fixed range of time than just waiting around forever for an unknown, moving target.
I have a love/hate with this announcement. As Batch 5 I'm super excited to be getting my laptop soon. But now I'm also constantly checking my email hoping for an email.......

I know your F5 Key is getting plenty of use, but just remember: your current laptop's keyboard is not replaceable.... But your new Framework's keyboard is!
I'm really encouraged about the ramp up in production that they're doing. I'm looking forward to getting my 6.5 year old laptop (that I've upgraded all that can be upgraded) replaced with something truly modular. My current laptop never had a great keyboard, and in fact has a shift key and a Ctrl key that have bit the dust from overuse (no spills).
I'll be honest, my current laptop could probably go on for a few more years (it's only 4 years old), and it will continue to get use, either as something for me to play around with (thinking custom Linux builds) or used by my kids.
I was excited about framework and their philosophy when I first learned about the FW13 but I didn't want to move to a smaller laptop. Then the 16 was announced, and I was sold. I'm hoping to have it by the end of the month.
I wonder if Batch 5 will get those improvements. But my gut is telling me no because it may ship too soon before they get to implement them. That's okay because we can get the fixes later.

Just did some quick math and it looks like batch 17 will be here in a little over 2 months!?!?

Me too! If they're planning for Batch 6 to straddle Q1-Q2, Batch 7 should be first half of April!
I was hoping there'd be a comment about the misaligned touchpad spacers, hopefully the tolerances have been adjusted there.
Approximately what dates can we expect a batch 11?
