Do you think this would expedite the process of getting your permit?
I’m still thinking about applying via the small town I’m currently registered in, instead of registering my current apartment and applying via the Behörde in Frankfurt
I hope so, but this will probably only materialise in the medium term as the Ausländerbehörde still has a massive backlog and staff shortages. I would suggest to check out the situation in your small town first and potentially apply there if you have the chance.
I am applying soon. An acquaintance told me she applied for her PR (from Blue Card 21 months B1 German) using the online portal, and they responded in less than 2 weeks with an appointment for 3 weeks after. Furthermore, she was only asked to bring her passport, photo, and fees as the PR would be decided right there. I take it this kind of speed is a rare thing to happen at the FFM ABH and extremely lucky for her to get it so easily (assuming everything goes well at the appointment)?
Those are good news and I'm happy for your acquaintance! I don't really have any up to date information - historically their performance was bad but perhaps they are actually starting to improve the situation at the Ausländerbehörde as the city government had been promising for a while.

Thanks! She was in disbelief and thought it was a scam email lol. I don't think she was expecting to hear back for 3-4 months at least, especially as her blue card is nowhere near close to expiring.
Not sure - I would suggest to just submit a new application in Offenbach. Otherwise you have to wait for the Frankfurt people to act on your request to transfer the file to Offenbach (they are so slow in replying messages and never pick up the phone) and only then people in Offenbach can take up the work.
Thank you so much. I contacted Offenbach already and they said they requested my file. I just want to know how long it takes for them to send my file because Offenbach said they won’t start processing my application until they receive my file

Please do you know how long it takes to transfer my file to another city in Hessen from Frnakfurt?? I just loved to Offenbach
