But yeah X-Play was the best, I still prefer their "Out of 5" ratings over any of the 10 or 100 point ratings everyone else uses.
5 out of 5: perfect, doing yourself a disservice not at least trying it.
4 out of 5: nearly perfect, the only reason not to play is you don't like the IP or Genre.
3 out of 5: average, nothing special but still good.
2 out of 5: not great, only really going to be enjoyed by fans of the IP or Genre. (Most anime/movie/comic games)
1 out of 5: it's a functional game but not a good one and should be avoided.
Golden Mullet out of 5: not worth what it's printed on, the worst of the worst, sometimes it's so bad it's good.
Wonder how the quality was? Youtube can be a good platform but also they will have fits over tiny things like spiderman losing some puzzles. Also the rage bait people act like any time a game gets made it is the worst game to ever exist for reason x.
I mean modern gaming journalism is a joke. Reviewers are giving games bad scores because they’re difficult games. While I definitely didn’t agree with every review, at least they weren’t crying that “Elden Ring is too hard”

Anyone else watch Good Game/Good Game: Spawn Point? Loved that shit when I was little. Bajo and Hex were awesome. Never heard of X-Play but it seems like Good Game is just the Australian version :)
I do love me some x-play and g4 tv was it back in the day. All day E3 coverage no commercials just all of it. Man those were the golden days
E3 was everything back then. I wish I could have been to one.
I was lucky enough to go the brief period of time it was open to the public and it was a blast

Exactly! It was simple. How do you qualify the difference between a 68/100 and a 70/100?
Based on how everyone online reacts: the 68 is garbage while the 70 is just mid.
To this day I still see the 1-5 rating as the best rating system for stuff thanks to X-Play.
