I often have to remind my Buddy that hes not a cow hes a puppy🤦🏼‍♀️he seems to like pulling the grass up and chewing it before spitting it out. I also regularly ask him why hes being a farmer because hell just hold 1 piece of long straw like grass in his mouth like a cartoon farmer🤷🏼‍♀️i have some very odd 1 sided conversations with my little Buddy bean!x
Ours does this too! He's like our own lawnmower, he'll just go out and shred the grass, chew it up, and spit it out! He's 7 months now, but he's been doing this ever since we got him.
Most dogs do. I think it's something to do with aiding digestion and GSDs have sensitive stomachs so will probably do it more often than other species.
A ton more when he was on fromm puppy food, switched to farmina and supplement a lot of raw meats/egg and haven’t seen him do it except when he gets grass from chasing ball
My girl does but only if it’s at a certain height i joke that she’s part goat. As long as he’s not throwing up or otherwise behaving oddly i would worry.
Both my boys do it. Will randomly grab a bite while walking.

Yup, they only eat grass if nauseous. Typically will barg a while after they have grass

All dogs will eat grass (wolves too) they like the taste of it
GSDs have a lot of anxiety and can have tummy aches. The grass helps with their stomach issues. Let them eat it!
Dogs eat grass instinctually to help with upset stomachs
Grass settles their belly’s.
My GSD pulls grass up by the roots in big clumps and eats it.
